Hello forum! For a few months now, I've been forced to use AOSP roms because of a problem that's been occuring. Ever since the 4.3 firmware, my wifi constantly disconnects and reconnects. I've tried switching from 2.4 to 5 ghz, renaming my device id, restarting the router, trying a different firmware (did all of them including ruu's and all), different kernels, different roms, etc. Now that sense 6.0 is coming out, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if anyone else has a fix.
i have the same issue after coming back from stock 4.4
i tried updating the firmware and the issues still remained.
same here

I´ve got the same issue,, running the cm 11 actual nightly on my RAZR HD .. tried everything , the whole restoring reflashing, radios and different recoverys ...nothing worked for me... when i switch manually the frequencyrange of my razr for w-lan it works quite a while but than it drops random till i switch back to automatic frequency ....
I was just running aosp but I wasn't disconnecting. I'm on the most recent firmware and I used the cyanogenmod nightly with stock kernel. On sense I disconnect every once in awhile especially when actually using the WiFi but on cm I wasn't disconnecting so I wasn't worried about disconnecting during castle clash

I have been running CM7 nightlies on a Nexus One. I'm on 28 now.
A couple of days ago I started getting wifi error and since yesterday I have not been able to start wifi at all. I have tried soft reset, hard reset, different kernels, different roms including Froyo Sense Roms, Enomther, CM7 RC2, Modaco r26.
I have tried extreme wipe, permission fixes, reflashing the radio, utilities such fxrwifi, wefi, wifi fixer.
My current radio is 5.12.00.08
Do I keep flashing any number of kernels and roms until something gets through. I had this problem 3 months ago and it magically sorted itself out after a few days.
Could it be a hardware issue? If so, how do you go about replacing a faulty wifi radio?
After a few days running Dlev's 4.2 ROM, my wifi stopped working suddenly. When I try to turn it on it says error or unable to start wifi. I've exhausted several initial options I began walking myself back through various ROM's back to the original 2.1 stock ROM. Without success I even performed a master clear and several reflashes of the orininal stock ROM, nothing is working. I tried FXR Wifi fix and rescue. Does anybody have any ideas on what I should do?
Thanks,

Kernel?
What kernel were you running with the custom ROM? Talon's being updated really frequently, so if it's Talon, you might try the latest version of that (0.4.4.22, as of this writing)

Did you try rebooting your router or device that gives you wireless signal? also see if other devices can connect.
It was Talon 0.4.4, but I've gone all the way back to stock ROM/kernel etc and that makes me think that this is a HW malfunction.
AT&T had me reboot the router too, my laptops are able to connect just fine. It's not really a connection problem either, Wifi will not turn on at all.
I called Samsung and they want me to ship them the phone, still debating that one since I will have to go without a phone.

Hi, my first post, please anyone, help, I'm getting desperate... :crying:
The issue is that since experimenting with a few new ROMS (CM10.1, JB AOKP, Minimoto) and Safestrap 3.05 my XT862 (XT883 radio) keeps changing wifi mac address. Turning wifi off, then back on changes the mac. It always starts on 08:00:28 but continues randomly. The funny thing is that it appears to be independant of the ROM. Tried restoring my nandroids, even went back to stock, but always the same issue!?! Only on CM10.1 it stays the same, and in fact is a completely different mac.
Before trying out JB and the like I've been on Safestrap 1.08 and Eclipse v3.0, never had that problem. I'm really lost what could have caused it, probably somehow Safestrap 3.05, oder the kexec kernel? Anyone has an idea? Thanks!
I was hoping that maybe someone could help me troubleshoot my problem.
I recently flashed a new ROM and since then my WiFi has been acting up. It will turn off then instantly turn back on and sometimes take longer than normal to turn on. This is causing quite a problem as it doesn't allow for a stable connection.
At first I thought it could be the router but even when I'm out of range, in town, if the Wi-Fi is enabled it still turns off and on.
So I've tried flashing a custom kernel, and several different ROMs and even the Radio. Nothing seems to fix it. I have wiped and formatted everything I can think of several times but regardless of ROM the Wi-Fi still turns off and on constantly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That happned to me when i flashed stock recovery of older rom version, for example: I had 1.29.401.16 rom with 1.29.401.7 recovery... Probably you have the same issue

So you think it could be the recovery at fault?
Yes, are you running your htc with custom recovery, if yes, the problem is not in the recovey

I am running clockworkmod recovery. Any more ideas?
Hi. I started having a problem with my wifi recently after updating to 4.3. Wifi turn itself on and off and sometime stay "turning on" state or "error". I have tried to return to stock ROM 4.2.2 (and Radio) and different version (4.2.2 and 4.3), but wifi issue remain the same.
Anyone has experienced this? Any sugguestion for the fix?
It looks a lot like a HARDWARE issue after i tried several ROMs and Ratios.
Thanks
Have you the wifi_ctrl_wake and wifi_rx_wake processes that never stop running? Because i have the same problem with the arhd 30, i was thinking about downgrade to a 4.2.2 ROM...
