So I was reading that if you have an Unlimited data plan and get throttled when you reach 5GB you can change your data plan to one of the other unlimited data plan options and you'll stop being throttled for another 5GB. I see that there's three other unlimited data plan options for me on the website. Does anyone know what the actual difference is between these? Has anyone tried what I said? Does it work? Thanks!

The first one is unlimited data AND text messages for $50.
The second one is unlimited data BUT only 200 text messages for $35.
The third arrow is unlimited data only add on for non lte phones. Text message plan separate.
The final arrow is unlimited data add on for lte phones. Text message plan separate.
So it all depends on how many text you send a month. You could hurt yourself.

The 3rd arrow says LTE as well.
I don't even see unlimited data available anymore. Where are you located to see this on the website

I bet the third is for phones, and the fourth is for tablets.

It is because OP is grandfathered into unlimited data.

I recently got my Atrix HD, upgrading from a Motorola Milestone. I decided to go to at&t and get a micro SIM card, keep in mind I have an unlimited data plan that I've had in 2008 for a non-smartphone which worked perfectly on my Milestone. I get signal and it even says "4G", but there's no connection. Is there any way to get it? I can't live off WiFi everywhere. Can anyone help?

Looks like you need to enable data.

I was in a similar situation to you. I had to update my dataplan to an LTE plan with AT&T before data worked. I was able to retain unlimited as well.
The plan is called "Data Unlimited for LTE Personal Add-On"

This. You won't get data until you switch to the LTE version. You should be able to keep your unlimited pretty easily.

The two posts above are correct. I'd go in store to do it though. Don't want to risk losing unlimited. LTE is blazing fast and even though I'm throttled at the moment my speeds are similar to what I was getting pre-LTE.

I actually choose not to use LTE. I get better coverage on HSDPA/HSPAP as it is and the only thing I can't do is enable videos to be played in HD via YouTube. That's what my TV and wifi are for lol.

At first I couldn't figure it out why I never got 4g signal since I started using Atrix HD. After I changed APN from ATT WAP to ATT LTE, finally I got 4g signal though it's weak.
Okay. Here is it. This is my second thread in off-topic.
Post the details.
1. Your phone model
2. Cost and from which country you bought it
3. Your carrier along with the plans you are using.
4. If you want, you can post some other details too
Reason I created the thread :
1. People will come to know various models of phone with their costs and other features.
2. Same as above for the carrier too
Rules :
1. Keep the thread clean by avoiding posts not related to the topic.

Carrier, for obvious reasons, using Vodafone which is the best in India.
Plans.
66rs (1.32$) for 600 messages local+national.
251rs (5$) for 1GB 3g data plan. Getting around 10MBps average speed
No other plan. Not so frequent in calling anyone

SGS3 International.
€420, Germany (it was €720 in Netherlands. F*ck them, I'll buy it across the border. Also means I get OTA's first, and not last...)
T-mobile Relax 15. €15 a month deposit, + €7,99 for truly unlimited data. (no speed reduction). (Not available anymore for new customers)
1. HTC One which I got yesterday.
2. £489.95 SIM free from Phones4U in England.
3. Carrier - Three UK. Plan - £15/m PAYG Unlimited Internet, 300 mins & 3000 texts.
Google Nexus 4 + Official White Bumper.
$350
TMobile Tablet Plan
The reason why I use Tmo tablet plan, even though it sucks, is because I already have a Sprint feature phone through which I make calls and text. I use Google Voice and the internet on the Nexus 4 to receive calls. Yeah, it's a hideous rig, but when I came to the US, my aunt got the feature phone and threw me on a two year contract. So I have made this weird setup

My contact is up in December so I am considering switching to pre-paid. Net 10's BYOS program is $45 a month on auto payment for unlimited everything with non-LTE 4G data speeds. But now that I've had a taste of LTE I don't want to give it up! So the only option I can find is AT&T's Go Phone unlimited with 2gb's of LTE for $60. That is still a savings of $40 a month for me with 1gb less data than I have now.
Does anybody know of a better deal out there? Or have any reasons why I shouldn't switch to pre-paid?

I use AIO wireless. AT&T owns the company. It's a flat $55 for unlimited everything. The catch is that it is only 2gb worth of LTE and then they throttle you down to 3G after that, which is still better than Straight Talk or Net 10 which throttles you to edge speeds, which to me is unusable. They also have a $70 a month plan with 7gb of LTE. I don't pay the extra $15 because I don't spend enough time in LTE areas to justify it.

I was looking over Aio's site and in their FAQ's there is multiple statements claiming "speeds up to 8mbs". I attached a screen shot. Is this true to date? I am currently getting 20-50mbs in my area on AT&T'S LTE. Which I am assuming will be the same with "Go Phone".

Where I spend 90% of my time is in 3G(my home) and 4G(work) so I can't vouch for the LTE speeds but I do know that I usually get around 1.5mbs on 3G and 3-4mbs on 4G, both of which are enough for me to be able to stream music and video. That holds true to the speeds they report on their website so I imagine it would be accurate for the LTE as well. I've never messed with the Go phone route so I don't know about their speeds but if I had to guess, I think your assumption would be correct. But I routinely exceed the the allotted 2gb, which is why I left Straight Talk in the first place.

Looking to get rid of satellite internet since T-Mobile has very strong LTE access at my house.
Does anyone use a Nexus 6 as their home internet gateway? I have 2 desktops and a laptop that I would be connecting to it. As well as a Google Chromebox.
If you do use it for your home internet, I know you can edit the sqlite code to not use the tethered data.... and take advantage of the unlimited plan.
The question I have is if you use this method, are you happy with it?
I have a truly unlimited plan from Verizon and usually do my gaming from my phone so my other devices don't take bandwidth and I don't lag. I also have a verizon MiFi to watch Netflix and for the tablets and laptops around the house .
I don't have issue with it I just don't think T Mobile really has "unlimited" they will throttle you.
But to me using my phone is no different than using the MiFi. I would much rather have high speed internet at my house but that's not going to happen anytime in the near future unfortunately.

well crap.
how much internet do you use would you say on your laptops and everything? I do have a satellite with a 25gb cap possibly getting installed tomorrow.
Honestly no idea because it's a business account that my work pays for and it's unlimited I don't have access to what it's using it doesn't show it on the device.
But I have burned over 40 gigs on my verizon account this month via the phone.

I tried the Sprint lg g4 mobile hotspot hack, its working but Sprint still sees my data usage which i used 90% already! Is there a way for Sprint not to see my usage? My firmware is zv6 please need help with this
If you root you can use WIFI Tether Router. That is why I never liked this method. But I don't think you will get flagged. Just don't abuse it.
By the way USB Tether works great and is legit. Bluetooth works too but pretty slow.
To clarify the question: are you trying to get unlimited data, as in you don't want Sprint to know how much data you are using on your plan, so you can just pay for 1 GB but have unlimited use?

That's not how it works. This allows you data through your phone up to your cap (then you hit overages). You have to be on an unlimited plan to get unlimited data.

There is absolutely, positively, without a doubt, ZERO way for you to hide your data usage from Sprint.
So long as a device on your account is registering to their network and requesting bandwidth, they're going to know who requested it.
If there were a way to use the network without registering your device, I can almost guarantee you that you wouldn't find the method on these forums. I'm on quite a few forums for reverse engineering, etc and just like with major holes that allow you to activate expensive software without paying for it, the method to do so would be kept a closely guarded secret in Elite forums where you'd have to prove yourself by being in VIP forums and not leaking anything, for a long time or be responsible for discovering hacks/exploits/etc.
When stuff like that is discovered, the more people know and exploit it, the more risky it is that Sprint will notice and patch the hole, or someone will tell a friend that's got a big damn mouth and next thing you know it's all over public forums like these and sprint pushes a network hot fix in less time than it takes the initial thread to have a second page of replies.
