When a notification sounds, for the only very first second it cracks badly.
I did not have it on JB.
I did not have it on official KK upgrading thru OTA.
It appeared after rooting using NUT's method: downgrade, dualrecovery, flash rooted KK rom
Whit any Sound Notification or just with that one?

I have noticed this with all my notifications. Its very irritating. This coupled with the speaker bug where the sound plays thru the earpiece rather than the speaker is frustrating beyond imagination.

Where did you get the ftf file? Can you send me the link please? Are you saying the speaker bug is fixed on your phone now?

actually it's the opposite..
Originally I had 4.3 and the crack sound was there
Then I upgraded to KK 4.4 with flashtool using an official FTF from Sony, and the cracking sound disappeared
Yesterday I rooted using NUT's method (downgrade, install dual recovery, flash prerooted KK 4.4 ROM), and now I have cracking sound back again... BUT NOT ALWAYS
My solution for this problem after KitKat update is ... reboot the Z1 all nights
Ok, I understand this is not the best solution, but I hope with Sony launch a patch with fixed this problem.
This is happening also when phone rings
Occurs regardless of reboot for me. Utilized PC companion for upgrade

Hi,
My xperia zr (4.4) ear speaker is not working. I am sure it's a software issue, as I got it working for a few hours using Soundabout app. It is now not working again.
I'd appreciate some help.

have you checked through *#*#7378423#*#* > service tests > earphone ?
You can reflash the same stock kernel or any other version of stock kernel using flashtool to check

Hello Guys!
After updating to lollipop I felt the sound too low for my daily Usage,
As Xloud And Clearphase is removed now.
So I Played Around and boosted the Speakers And Headphone Volume!
Here You Go:-
https://app.box.com/s/xu6h0vdde3c802mkkvf4y6l4xejlmcv8
More Loud:- (Flash at your own risk)
https://app.box.com/s/ei3dk231gyc4el6pxdgeon5pi7hc8y4s
Mirrors:-
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9y548jo1hl4nmwz/AACq7WxxINq_AdoSfJG9cp2ga?dl=0
Note:- Root is Required!
To get back to Stock Sound Backup Files From
System/etc/snd_soc_msm
Flashable Zip works For both 5.0 and 5.1
Njoy!
This is like the Xtreme-Xloud.zip for 4.4.4? :fingers-crossed:

which one you used ???
Have you boosted the ADC volume or digital amplification? I couldn't find the former, in lollipop unlike KitKat, but if you did the later then I prefer quality over loudness corruption

Its Flashable but recovery is not yet available so u can manually push it to
System/etc/snd_soc_msm
If you think of reverting to stock do take a backup of Your original File!

D first one is just a increased ADC volume...which gives u more loud dan stock one but quality sound also...second one is too loud whch myt crackle ur speakers in full volume instead u can use it in 12-13 level volume for better sound

i'm a noob at this, how to manually push the 1st file?
i thought it would be just one file inside the zip but ...it's more
any help is appreciated
You can push folders, just make sure the source and destination are the same directory in the tree.

I also noticed it before after i upgrade from Kitkat to Lollipop, the volume of my phone became softer(like 100% volume of Lollipop is like 60-70% of Kitkat),
Great MOD, it works perfectly on my Xperia ZR. Thanks!
please add another mirror , as the provided one is not working.
thanks.

Hi, i renamed the original snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 as snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3bak and moved snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 from your zip to System/etc/snd_soc_msma using root explorer, after that i reboote my phone and came up a pop up updating application 1 of 1, then installing applications and it stucked in this screen for 8 minutes, i rebooted it pressing the reset button ant then it stucked in boot animation, i have a xperia zl c6506 with 454 rooted, what did i do wrong?
Will this mod work on the latest 5.1.1 10.7.0.222 firmware for the XZ/XZR/XZL?
should i flash volume boost & more loudness if i want more loudness or just flash more loudness

ok there could be quite some reasons
1: Something you flashed
2: An app you installed
3: The touchscreen
Do you remember installing anything weird lately, that had to do with the screen or the dialer app?
ps: do a touchscreen test

A full wipe would definitely fix your problem but you will lose all user media
PS. If it doesn't fix after that then its a hardware problem

Sounds like a kernel issue to me, although I'm only guessing.
You can either try flashing RockZ1's kernel (if you have working root and recovery) or use PC Companion to repair the firmware.
