Hello, the official KitKat update for the Sprint HTC ONE was released a while ago and I need to know whether to update my rooted HTC ONE or not.
So, first off all, I have a rooted Sprint HTC ONE and I keep getting the notification that a system update is available. I have to clear data of the Updater app to get rid of it and I am getting tired of it. I got a SIM unlock for my phone about 4 months ago and the only way to do that was by rooting the phone itself. I have read that you needed to downgrade from Android 4.3 back to 4.1 and download the SIM unlock helper app from the play store. My question is- will I still have my SIM unlock if I decide to update to KitKat from 4.3? And is getting the OTA update safe if I have a rooted phone? What would you recommend doing instead?

It wasn't for 2.3, it's for FRG83D, nothing big. If you want it, revert to stock.
Hi,
I am trying to root my phone, running on Android 4.3 Build JSS15J. I stumbled upon the S3 Toolkit, but my version nr. and build aren't included, and I wouldn't know which build to pick, to safely run this.
I have also tried Framaroot version 1.8.0, and it provides me with the Aragon option, which is an exploit that's not available sadly.
Has anyone successfully rooted this version, and can guide me in the right direction?

I found a BNIB Moto X to replace my older one with a cracked screen. Out of the box it was on Jelly Bean and after a couple OTA updates it's on 4.4.2 but it's not updating anymore. Checking for updates says the software is update even though on it's an older than current version. Is there any way to bring to a newer Android version without rooting it given this situation?
My recommendation is to leave it on 4.4.2. Lollipop sucks.
I agree, but at least getting the new dialer from 4.4.3 might be nice.

Hi,
I would like to ask some help about upgrade of an Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME176CX tablet.
I've replaced the motherboard because the previous was hard bricked, so I've ordered this to replace the old: aliexpress.com/item/32907821550.html
After motherboard replacement, the following details were founded under the About section of the tablet:
Model number:
K013
Android version:
4.4.2
IFWI version:
0065.0023
Kernel version:
3.10.20-g0e009e1
2.0.4.137 #1
Sat Sep 20 03:03:28 CST 2014
Build number:
K013-WW-fac-eng-4.4.2-2.0.4.137-20140920
If I am right, this is a preinstalled Android system which was installed by the AliExpress store.
I would like to install the latest officially Lollipop firmware on the tablet, so I would like to delete everything with reflashing.
Can someone help me to reinstall the device? I would like to find the right things of these:
flashing application
latest officially Lollipop firmware
manual about the installation
Thank you for your help Guys.
