Any time you go from a 4.3 or 4.4 ROM back to stock 534 you lose your IMEI. You have to go back to 4.3+ to get it back (or flash a modified 534 ROM like Nut's pre-rooted)

Yah, but Nut's is a different story, as it isn't a stock firmware package (ftf) like the op is talking about. I will clarify my post

No, it just says that you are allowed to unlock the bootloader. Some variants of the phone can't be unlocked.

So it's nothing to do with root or not?
I thought it's suppose to be a NO there before root
Anyway thanks

Nope. If you CAN unlock the bootloader, it will say "yes". If the bootloader CANNOT be unlocked, it will say "no".

When you have unlocked the Bootloader the bootloader status is set to: "bootloader unlocked: yes" if unlocked is "bootloader unlock allowed: yes/no"

Flash the kernel from the FTF again with Flashtool.
When selecting the FTF to flash -
Uncheck all the boxes in the 'Wipe' section.
Check everything except 'Kernel' in the 'Exclude' section.

to make things easy for you, flash the whole ftf, dont wipe data, cache or appslog
edit : grammar problem
the flashtool asked you "which package you would like to exclude", so you just tick them to exclude.
if you no tick ( no exclude, the flashtool will flash it.
totz pinoy ka ba?
did you try to flash the whole ftf?
or maybe you can follow both their instruction . try kingvortex instruction if the process doesnt work then try samsing process

Ohw, I thought you are already in 4.3 sorry for that sir..So, you are still in a locked bootloader right now Sir?
Hope someone or Sir DooM will make this rootable for Unlock bootloader
i think that the only way to have a rooted 4.3 on a LB is to downgrade to 4.2.2 then update it to 4.3 using CWM / TWRP to keep the root other than that it's not possible
i didn't root it yet might try it later today but hope a new root way to appear soon

Sir, how about for Unlock bootloader like me? Is there a way to root this fw?

[Q] Bootloader unlock allowed: No

Ok, so I've upgraded to 4.3 and lost my root. As far as I know, to get root on 4.3 I will need unlocked bootloader to flash custom kernel and/or ROM. Unfortunately in the Service Info / Configuration of my phone it says: Bootloader unlock allowed: NO. So here's the question: is there any method of unlocking the bootloader other than official from Sony? Looking at the Xperia Z and ZL forums looks like there isn't, but maybe someone had succeeded on the Z1?
Thanks for any information.

There is many threads on this already. The easiest way to unlock is with a paid code (10-20$ US). You must be 100% stock or as close as possible to stock to be able to sim-unlock.

Everything in there is paid. And as a search result commentator I want to say that I dont want to and I won´t pay. I did this for the sprint version which was supposedly the most difficult phone to unlock. Why is it that the GSM version is payable and not the (mostly) CDMA which I know is practically the same phone.?
How can I unlock this POS without giving my money to some A'hole scammer and totally free with the existing HTCONE SimUnlock and some Stock Rooted rom? Thanks...

S-OFF then
use SIEEMPI method like for the HTC amaze.
In some cases, the carrier can also unlock the phone for free.
if you can't s-off, then there is nothing to do, unless you change your mind and pay for a code.
good luck :fingers-crossed:

So I need to s-off then use sieempi, but I'm wondering if I can install Firewater with CM11? The guide I found says I need ARHD because of the unsecured kernel needed to get S-off.

I can't find any info saying that CM11 is also unsecured that allows S-off with Firewater.

SD Init Fail
That's the error I get when I select SIMLOCK. I used Windows to navigate to the root of the SD card and dropped the Config.dat in there.
I bought a OTG cable and then found out that I need an external drive that's powered so I could flash the config.dat.
Spliced a quick and dirty Y-OTG cable and was able to SIM unlock! Yay

use a Y-OTG cable with a HDD formatted in FAT32
Hey guys, quick conundrum, and I want to make sure I'm taking the right steps.
I purchased an M7 for my dad, but I unlocked the bootloader and installed Slimkat before I typed in my SIM unlock code.
I've read in here that I have to restore the phone to stock.. Do I need to address the S-ON/OFF issue, or can I safely keep it S-ON if I don't intend to return it for service at this time? Will an ARHD based ROM allow me to do the unlock as was mentioned here?
I searched this topic but didn't find an exact answer re: the S status and SIM unlocks.
Didn't want to start a new thread, so I tagged it on here...

Could you explain better...
Could you enter flash mode?
If you can, follow [NUT] OP and flash stripped ftf.
LINK
That way you'll get stock kernel...it's normal you can't boot your device, you have custom kernel on locked bootloader.
I'm not sure, never tried to unlock BL on Z1 but you should first flash stock ROM and kernel...
This way, I'm not sure you'll be able to enter flash mode to flash ftf from flashtool.
But, as I said, I'm not 100% sure.
Try that method and post what happened...

This is a great thread --> Disaster Recovery by NUT
See the section (click to expand it) about flashtool.
It explains how to connect your phone in flash mode when it's in a bootloop, etc.
Reading the whole lot is recommended, but that's the part you need.
I would pick a stripped ftf from NUT's download page to match the firmware you were running, so if .757 use the stripped .757 ftf, etc.
Then flash the stripped ftf which contains the stock kernel and baseband
That should fix your phone, and retain your data. :good:

No this is bad advice
If he has flashed a custom kernel and maybe a custom rom (Such as Cm or aokp etc) then this will not help
The OP gave limited details about his situation. So flashing a stock FTF will help him. Flashing a stripped FTF or stock kernel only will only help if he is coming from a stock based rom.

Whoops, sorry, very true
Should have thought really, the only real reason to be on a custom kernel is to install a non stock based rom

Not really, I am on stock ROM work a custom kernel. If the op had given more information we could give detailed help, but this is just another example of someone shouting help in a generic sense , in which case I give generic help.
So many users need to learn how to ask for help

Otherwise you have to go all Sherlock on them, yes lol
Hopefully the OP will let us know what rom he was running, and he may get a more specific answer.
It look like the OP relocked wit the wrong TA! ..lol.. I hope not for him...

Before you unlock your bootloader you should backup your TA.
When you relock with your own restored TA you would get your DRM keys back, etc like you hadn't unlocked in the first place.
If you didn't backup your TA you can still relock your bootloader, but you've lost your DRM keys.
You can't flash someone else's TA as it won't work either, and as far as I understand it, brick your device.
You have to have stock based firmware before you relock your bootloader.
If you relock with a custom kernel installed, it won't work.
What rom and kernel were you running prior to locking your bootloader?
i know, i just wan to know wrong TA issue come from user chose wrong file or tools can make it wrong.

Wrong TA, backed up from different phone, even the same model, and restored on your just to have the DRM Keys back. (hard brick)
I said that because it was an idea as the OP didn't explain yet WTH he did on his phone.
BTW, at this time I think we lost the OP somewhere..LOL...

No you wont, just flash a stock kernel and a stock based rom (If you were on a non-stock based custom rom) after relocking.

Need some help regarding RUU and OTA update

Okay so been some time since I've been on here and since I have got a oneplus one and I am selling my M7.
I was rooted and running tickdroid 8.0 I think it was, 4.2.2 as I didn't feel the hassle to update it etc.
Now I managed to get back to stock by flashing the stock RUU and my software currently stands at 4.1.2
I searched for an update but it says it's up to date? The phone has stock recovery etc I just want to update it to the latest firmware before I sell it. So any help to get it up to kitkat would be appreciated
Bootloader is relocked
Software 4.1.2
S-Off

Ok so do you want 100% Stock or just the stock software
I have a O2 4.4.3 stock nandroid ? But it's no good to you if you want to set your bootloader back to locked. That must be done on hboot 1.44

No unfortunately not. Setting 100% Stock is not so simple. The firmware to match the rom is on hboot 1.57. You need to lock the bootloader on hboot 1.44 and go back to s-on before you update to hboot 1.55, after you lock the bootloader you'll have no way to install the Rom.
You can use my reset zip method though. I don't have the time to knock up a guide for you right now because I'm in work. If you can wait I can get it up for you later on this evening. Or just go and read the nkk71 nandroid guide. It's a liitle more involved than the reset zip method but does the same job :good:

you might want to check the MD5 value of your nanadroid backup zip file. Use WinMD5 program (google it)
The MD5 should be ea7969028463b7c14317cc6ea312e76e, if not then its a bad download.

Hey @alray, Tonight I was gonna farm the OTA for the firmware you need in the other thread. I was planning a full wipe for ARHD 84 anyway. But I see @nkk71 is already sorting it. I did find a link for the .9 but it was dead
I don't know if it makes any difference but I did learn that the .8 is for Unbranded Vodaphone and the .9 is for Branded Vodaphone.
