Anyone else running into the same issue?
Unlocked bootloader, rooted, stock 4.4.2 Verizon Dev Edition
Only "mod" I added was MJPhillips1981 awesome toolkit to enable Mobile Hotspot.
Any thoughts?
Never mind.
Just figured out what was the issue.

Has anyone been able to get the GEL to work on their Xperia Z? I've tried a number of things and always get an immediate Google Search FC. I will keep working on it but wanted to ask the community if they were having any luck. Also, I should say that this is the T-Mobile variant that I'm working with so no option to unlock bootloader.
You have to download the Google settings for the updated GEL Launcher I had it working without issues.

Are you talking about the libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so file? If that's the case, then I already tried that. If not, can you point me in the right direction?
I managed to get it working using these
Install this first
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23212708291677093
then this.

I'm running 4.2.2 stock, got it from http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...y-fixes-gel-on-tablets-and-more-apk-download/

Thanks for the links. I think those are a little bit different from the ones that I was using. Also, I'm on stock 4.1.2 so I guess we'll find out if it works for me.
I went and downloaded newer versions of Google Play services from apk mirror and now keep getting a permissions notification.
What version are you running on your stock att branded nexus 6 and do you have the apk?
Thanks.
I have the moto version and mine came with 6.1.84. I installed 6.5 but it caused my Google Inbox to stop working along with GPM. I'm just going to wait for it to update on its own
Attached a pic of the updated version I have on my N6 (from T-Mobile). Should be the same across carriers, but someone with an AT&T version can confirm. Also, this version is giving me huge battery drain (either first or second on the list in settings). No other issues besides that though.

Stock. 6.1.88 Att no issues with battery drain. Doesn't even show up on my battery use and all options are on.
Mine is running 6.1.88 -736! Looking at Google's explanation of the - XYY version, this doesn't make any sense! This is a stock ATT N6. I have only unlocked the bootloader.
I really wonder if it is on the 736 version because I bumped my Nexus 4 running lollipop for the initial setup. I have thought about flashing the factory lrx21o image and seeing what happens...
Shouldn't I have 738 or something? A

Updated via the play store or did you manually update it?
Manually updated by downloading the apk
Someone with the stock version, do you think you could download the apk so I can flash the stock one? I want to avoid having to reflash the whole boot image just for the stock version, and I can't find the apk anywhere else.

Disable the play services then downgrade it to the stock version and re-enable it.
Here is a link to the stock one that's on my phone (I didn't post the apk)

So, has anyone noticed the same trouble as me?
I tried to configure my unique phrase on Moto Voice app and it was impossible. The app couldn't even listen to my voice. So I thought it was because I'm using Xposed Framework (alpha version) for Lollipop.
Am I right at guessing this?
If anyone has got something similar let me know please.
Normal for me

I've heard the Gravitybox for Lollipop was bricking some Moto X 2014 as its code is written for pure ROMs and our ROM is a custom one. It's warned in the Gravitybox thread.
So how did you make the Moto Voice to work? I remember I've installed Busybox, would that be the problem?
Solved that by uninstalling Moto app and reinstalling it from Store.
can someone who still has stock firmware copy over the Verizon voicemail APK and upload it somewhere for me? I'm having major problems getting it to work under Chroma and done a lot of troubleshooting with no results. Verizon tech supp told me the play store app is a little different and I need to get the app that comes with the phone
Thx

it only works properly on the stock ROM. it does not work on custom ROMs. I'm not on Verizon, but I've been reading about Verizon users not getting it to work on custom ROMs, for months.
BTW, the app does not come preinstalled on the phone. it downloads from the play store when you boot up with the Verizon sim in it.
Using the newest versions of BlissPop ROM I've been able to use the Verizon visual voicemail app from the playstore.

Dhacker actually just recently got it working for CM and I assume others have/will start picking it to their roms.
Get from here, on the play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.visualvoicemail
Side loading the app won't help. If the play store says incompatible, it won't work. But as others have stated, most recent ROM updates have added this feature. I know cm, octos, aosip, slim, chroma and benzo for sure all have it added.
I did nothing to write this fix.
I only found it.
I added Direct TV to my AT&T and got the unlimited data plan exclusive.
They locked my hot spot!
So I gladly rooted and followed the instructions on this site to install a mod with Xposed framework for KitKat Users to Enable the Hotspot!
