Hi, try to flash 3.62 firmware with Hboot 1.54. Then, rumrunner should work. Then you should change your CID to SuperCID 11111111.

Hi again.
I've been looking a little and in my opinion, the rumrunner should work on h1.55. But, it depends on the system that you have on your PC.
If you are running on Windows 8/8.1 - there's a problem with usb drivers delivered by Microsoft.
On Windows 7, there are Intel drivers.
So, assuming that you are running on Win7, to verify if there is correct conection between PC and your HTC One, download adb an fastboot, for ex HTCOneRoot pack from here : https://mega.co.nz/#!dcZTDDzQ!SCd73VExhwCviFTWljDrtiW4EvFp161DsFpo443-aLs
I use it without any problem. The unpack, and run CMD as Administrator. Go to the folder with HTCOneRoot, connect your phone (in normal mode) wait until system installs drivers and type : "adb devices". After a few seconds, you shold see a list of connected devives. Something like 3HXXXXXXX. If you don't see it after about 10 sec., it means, that you have problem withe device drivers in your system. Try then to install the included drivers.
If everytnig is OK, I mean if your device is listed after adb command, try to run rumrunner, but you shold run it from normal workig mode of your One. Not fastboot or bootloader.
One I had a HTC One with Orance CID and a simlock, I've spent 2 day but finally I've won !
Let me know, how it's working. (by evening)

Like I said in your previous thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552669
You might want to read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
If you read, then you will understand that the RUU you want to execute need to be compatible with both your CID, MID and hboot version.
So yes its possible, but you need to be s-off to change CID/MID and to downgrade hboot if required.
and please don't start 2 different threads for relatively the same questions.
Hope it help

yes, use revone tool for hboot 1.44 or use rumrunner tool for hboot 1.54 and 1.55
This is the first thing listed in the thread I linked above.....
First you need to be S-Off, this will NOT work with S-On!!!
A) If you’re on hboot 1.44 use revone to get S-Off: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2314582
B) If you’re on hboot 1.54/1.55 use rumrunner to get S-Off: http://rumrunner.us/ and http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2487888

I can't answer that cause I'm not familiar with rumrunner since I s-off'd my One when it was on 1.44 hboot with revone. In theory rumrunner 0.5.0 should work on all international variant with hboot 1.54 and up except verizon model that need a different version of rumrunner. Maybe you should ask help directly on rumrunner thread for that step or search the forum for similar issue with s-off on 1.55. Hope you will find out.

I went back and forth with rumrunner and moonshine while using a rom 4.3 GPE ROM with twrp and it kept failing. ultimately installed a 4.1.2 stock then used revone and it worked wonderfully. I was able to remove the tampered flag, unlock the stock bootloader and flash the GPE 4.3 and receive the updates. I also only have a mac so i was limited in not being able to run .exe's.

Tampered flag is just that, a flag. It doesnt hinder anything, just a pop up for "Warranty" purposes. The flag pops up when you unlock the bootloader but when you get S-Off you can remove the flag.
Since you have access to windows i would go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428276 and find the .exe RUU for your area. Just get into your bootloader, select fastboot usb and run the .exe. Pick the lowest firmware available so you can ensure that you get the 1.44 hboot.

The zip can only be used with S-Off where as the exe is designed to be used to return a phone to stock with S-On.
Just get into fastboot and run the exe, it should do the rest for you. It will wipe the entire phone, but as far as I'm concerned, a blank phone is better than an unusable one.
I'm not sure if the hboot makes a difference, but mine downgraded when I flashed an older RUU.
Once you get the older hboot and firmware, you may have to unlock your bootloader again through HTC Dev, then S-Off. Once your S-Off unlocking your bootloader is much easier.

If you want to run a GPE RUU.exe your phone MUST have CID compatible (BS_US0001) with GPE and MID: PN0712000
you can check that with this command:
Code:
fastboot oem readcid
fastboot oem readmid
if they doesn't match, you MUST be S-OFF to change them
If your device is currently a DEV edition, you should already have PN0712000 as MID so the only concern is that CID need to match GPE RUU
You should post your
Code:
fastboot getvar-all
and remove imei and sn so it will be easier to see what options you have.

I downloaded RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_BrightstarUS_WWE_1.29.1540.16.exe but my current ROM is Android 4.3 version 3.22.1540.1. I suppose I got this error because I tried to install a oldest version in my device. Does it make any ****ing sense?
I'm downloading the .exe for 3.22.1540.1 and than try to install it.

If I have a hboot S-ON it has to be LOCKED or RE-LOCKED. It'll never work with hboot UNLOCK. So if your hboot is S-OFF it not matter.

[Q] Can't get S-OFF even if my life depended on it

Like the title says, I can't get S-OFF after spending hours trying to get S-OFF. I have an unlocked and rooted the phone using SuperSU v1.80. Here are some relevant numbers: HBOOT 1.55.0000, ROM 3.24.531.3, Android Version 4.3, and the phone was bought and uses T-Mobile. I have followed tutorials on revone, moonshine, and rumrunner universal edition and have had no success. If there is anyone who can help me find out what I am doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate it.
EDIT 1: I also did the 1.55 specific rumrunner method.
Try rumrunner methode for hboot 1.55. That might work

Woops, forgot to say I did that too.
do you have drivers installed? what does the rumrunner says?
Yea, check that you have the drivers installed, and that also HTC Sync is uninstalled. Next you should have ADB debugging enabled as well.
And now try to run rumrunner as administrator.

[Q] how to get fastboot working

Hi,
I'm stuck.
My phone is not recogniser in fastboot by the PC.
I have a HTC One UL (Intl.) S-OFF, CID HTC_032, ARHD 30.6, Hboot1.44.0000.
As my phone does not vibrate any more, I tried to return to stock to take it service.
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
I downgraded Hboot1.44.0000. and I LOCKED and removet TAMPERED my bootloader with this tool http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/1-29-401-12_hboot_1-44-zip/
I downloaded this EXE RUU RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed
Started it, rebooted my phone, yet my computer will not recognise the phone in fastboot-usb. Unknown USB Device (Device Failed Enumeration)
ADB still works. My rom is usable.
Can someone guide me how to get fastboot working, or how to flash another HBOOT, and then get to stock.
I have to be 100% stock to take it in service and when i start my phone a red warning appears.
Could i be able at least to get the command fastboot oem writesecureflag 3, to be S-ON and tahe it in service?
Thanks in advance,

If I run the RUU and then S-ON will the red warning (when the phone starts) dissapear?

MID: PN0710000
CID: HTC__032
--> then the RUU you posted is good.
However, if you are having problems running it due to Win8/8.1 the you need to get your hands on a Win7 machine. Can't help with Win8/8.1 problems. sorry
The red text will disappear after running the RUU, so please follow the steps properly, 1 then 2 then 3; i wrote them in that order to avoid problems.
S-On is YOUR choice, but if you want to do it then follow the steps 1 then 2 then 3, and if you're going to take OTA updates then only after you go s-on. (otherwise once OTA updates hboot to 1.55, and you go from s-off to s-on on hboot 1.55, it will trigger a TAMPERED again)
SOLVED
Thank you both for helping me.
I installed the RUU form my windows 8 (not 8.1), phone was recognised, then returned to S-ON.
Now I can take my phone to service.
I even updated my phone after applying S-ON.
Special thanks to nkk71 for your great guide for returning to 100 % stock. IT WORKS!

Both cid # and mid # MUST match the main-ver you want to flash. CID and MID require s-off to be modified.
i.e if you have a x.xx.161.x main-ver, you need corresponding MID PN0710000 and one of compatible CID like VODAP001 or VODAP102, etc... (Vodafone)
i.e if you have a x.xx.401.x main-ver, you need corresponding MID PN0710000 and one of compatible CID like HTC__001 or HTC__101, HTC__203 etc... (stock international)
If you have a CID that doesn't match your main-ver, your phone will not find any OTA update
If you have proper CID but wrong MID, your phone will find and download OTA, but will fail the update process.
f you want to convert using a RUU, both CID and MID must match otherwise the ruu will not flash.
copy/paste the output of this command
Code:
fastboot getvar all

Yes it should
So go to this thread and install adb/fastboot.
turn on usb debugging mode on your phone ''settings ---> developer option ---> check the usb debug box'' if developer option menu is messing from you settings menu do this: settings ---> about phone ---> tap the build number rapidly until you are prompted you unlocked developers option.
connect phone to pc via usb while phone is normally booted in Android (better to use port behind the pc instead of usb port in front. also i will recommend you not to use a windows 8.1 computer.

You'll probably encounter problem later in the process with win 8.1. Win 8.1 require hboot 1.55 for fastboot to work. During the process you will need to downgrade hboot to 1.44 to flash the international RUU. And your phone will not be recognized by computer when using fastboot and you will be stuck there. So better to find a windows 7 computer or maybe you could dual boot win 7 on the same comp.
now you should be able to continue with next step even with win 8.1
so start Minimal ADB and Fastboot, a command prompt should open. with phone connected to pc and usb debugging enabled, check that drivers are working properly with this command:
Code:
adb devices
should output this:
Code:
List of devices attached
HT(yourserial#) device

so now you have to
unlock your bootloader
install a custom recovery + root
gain s-off using rumrunner
note that unlocking bootloader may void your warranty as advised by htc on htcdev.com

So does this procedure requires rooting?
And if it does how can a rooted device receive updates from HTC?
And once the whole procedure is complete will my HTC One be still rooted?
And i could get a window 7 pc tomorrow , so will continue the remaining procedure tomorrow.
If u could pls give the detailed procedure, i would perform it tomorrow and will let u know .
Thank u so much for helping out.

Yes you need root to s-off. You need s-off to change cid and downgrade hboot. you need to change cid and downgrade hboot to flash international ruu.

When you will flash the international RUU.exe, your device will go back to 100% stock (stock recovery, stock OS, stock hboot) means no root anymore like if your device was brand new.

no the ruu.exe will remove root. You can always re-root if you need root after all that procedure and after downloaded the latest OTA

after you gained S-OFF:
Change your CID
Code:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
fastboot reboot-bootloader
note there is 2 lower cases H T C _ _ 0 0 1
confirm cid has changed
Code:
fastboot oem readcid
and then follow this guide to downgrade hboot, removed tempered flag from hboot, lock bootloader and flash the ruu.exe. Use this RUU.exe for international

Rumrunner not working on 1.55 / 3.62.206.1 after OTA - O2-UK

I received an O2 HTC One that had had some messing.
Device was S-ON, Tampered, Relocked with FW 3.62.401.1, custom ROM and HBOOT 1.55.
I unlocked the bootloader using HTVDev and ran rumrunner over it to get it S-OFF.
Plan was to return it to stock. I followed a guide on here to return it which entailed:
S-OFF
Downgrade to HBOOT 1.44
Change CID to HTC__032
Run RUU for FW 1.28.401.1
Change CID to O2___001
Restore Nandroid 1.28.206.1
Lock bootloader
Remove tampered
OTA updates to 3.62.206.1
S-ON
Because I am a fool I forgot to Lock the bootloader and remove tampered before I went S-ON. I am now on 3.62.206.1 and rumrunner does not seem to work. I get to the same point every time...
Code:
Checking for updates......
Test 1: Rebooting into bootloader
Waiting for fastboot (7/120)
Waiting
Test 2: Booting device
Waiting for ADB (35/120)
must ferment longer...
must sanitize, skunky rum is nasty
hold please..............................................
[------------------------------------------------------------]
Rebooting into bootloader (again)
Waiting for fastboot (7/120)
and then I get the FATAL error.
Things I have tried so far, all get to the same point:
1. Windows 7 w/ HTC Drivers provided with phone
2. Windows 7 w/ HTC Drivers downloaded
3. Windows 7 w/ CWM Drivers
4. Windows 8.0 w/ HTC Drivers provided from phone
5. Windows 8.0 w/ HTC Drivers downloaded
6. Windows 8.0 w/ CWM Drivers
7. Windows 8.1 w/ HTC Drivers provided with phone
8. Ubuntu 13.10
I am absolutely stumped. I can only assume that after the OTA update to 1.55 my phone is no longer vulnerable to whatever exploit Rumrunner uses.
Unless anyone else knows any reason for it to fail at this point?
Oh, and each OS was a clean install. I have spent a lot of time today on this!

That sound's awfully familiar, do I have anything to do with that?
If yes, then I said to S-On after 1st OTA ... not after OTA to 3.62
is you bootloader unlocked, or can you unlock bootloader using HTCdev?

The boot loader is unlocked. I can flash custom recovery and roms and also have the current rom rooted. It just appears that my HBOOT doesn't want to play ball.
It did indeed say to S-On after 1st OTA but also had a note that it may not be necessary. I read through and figured I would skip it as I was
, ironically, worried if I would successfully be able to S-OFF the next time around. I guess it was a kind of trial run and I was trying to play it safe.
