Has anyone been testing Koush’s Mirror app?
I finally was able to get a successful screen cast to my pc, but getting it to connect takes some effort. I was able to connect using the Computer:Flash option.
Actually getting an stream to display in the browser was a combination of stopping the browser from loading, then going to the flowplayer window and pressing stop and play a few times. As you can see, when the phone is in a landscape orientation the mirror in window boxed in the player.
I’m getting about a 5-10 second lag between phone screen changes updating on the browser. Not sure what the frame rate is, but to slow for video. Has anyone been able to get the computer option to work? Or have any tips on how to get a repeatable connection?
Being able to stream video to a Chromecast from a MotoX would be a dream – not sure how likely this is as we don’t have the hardware VP8 encoder like the Nexus5.

Ok I through this together in photoshop in like 2 minutes just for an example:
I was wondering if there was any kind app that would show your droid screen on the xoom. I think there are apps that do this for the computer. I don't no if it would be even possible, but it would be awesome. There would also be like a million permissions haha.

that would be cool..
So like what the atrix does in the laptop dock?
You can probably already do this, though it may not be the best experience.
You need to use VNC. Get a "VNC server" for your phone, and a "VNC viewer" for your XOOM.
Then get them both on the same wifi network, and set them up to connect to eachother. The viewer probably won't be like a widget, but I'm sure the developer could make that happen if you bug them. The real problem is that it is choppy. And someone needs to make a VNC viewer that includes the android buttons, since normally you just have the screen and thats it.

So I bet that there is a lot of you guys here that don't like new YouTube design.
They forced all this bad changes so now you can't even get all subscription videos on one page what looks somewhat good and useful.
To solve all this problems you can now use Chrome extension called YouTube Video Deck or if you use any other browser you can go to www.videodeck.net.
With this tool you can easily see all subscriptions you want and don't miss any uploaded video. It offers different layouts and options so you can customize it as you want.
Videos are shown as soon as they appear on YouTube and if you are using Chrome you can even set notifications for new videos. When you have watched a video you can
mark it as watched and it will hide it self so your deck stays clean.
Here are 2 screenshots for a quick taste on wide screen:

Hi,
I just released my first game for Chromecast. I'd appreciate it if you can download it and give me your feedback.
Here is the description and the link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidappsdr.drawitup
All you need is a couple of friends a TV and a Chromecast. Set up the teams and let the fun begin!
The objective is to guess a secret word. The word to guess will be displayed on the phone of the player in turn. What the player in turn draws in the mobile phone is displayed on the TV. The other team member(s) need to guess which word it is.
There are several categories to choose from. Some are free, some are available for purchase.
Thanks

nice
nice app, good use of chromecast, glad to see some non movie player apps coming out.
keep up the good work!
IR worked only once with "IR Remote Control" by Johan Westling (I can't post link yet). I could control all my TV's in my house, Samsung and LG. Suddenly IR stopped working. I tried 10 apps (literally) and no one worked, even HTC Sense TV app. Couple days ago HTC app was waiting for signal when I was trying to configure remote manually. Now it's instantly showing error "Unable to configure button" like the IR blaster would be dead. Device is not rooted and unlocked and it didn't hit the ground yet cause it's quite new . Any help?

Have you tried just automatically setting up your remote in the HTC TV app by selecting the model of your tv and seeing if it works like that, cause i couldn't get it to receive a signal from a remote but it works fine when its preset.
Hoping that someone who watches OTA TV on their cellphone using HDHomeRun hardware, can hack the app to allow it to continue playback with screen off.
That way, we can LISTEN to the TV while the phone is in our pocket.
I personally want it so I can listen to sports games while doing chores around the house and mowing the yard.
