Flashing 4.4.2 FTF. - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I'm pretty dumb about the installing new software and other things similar to this so here is my deal. Today I got my Z1 back from warranty but it is still on 4.3 phone is branded by ORANGE PL. I've downloaded C6903 14.3.A.0.681 Global 1277-2880_R5C version of software, and there we go I need help with flashing it without any issue.
Questions:
- Should I make a backup of software am using now?
- I've got flashtool 0.9.14.0 version, is that good one?
- Will global software fit my phone, or I have to download branded version?
- How do I set up flashtool to update my phone photo below, what do I exclude/wipe (got nothing important on my device)/etc

It doesn't matter which version you downgrade to
Just exclude baseband
And if you are doing it to root it makes no difference at all

.257 FTF Singapore fw wanted

Hi guys, I have this 2nd hand Xperia SP. It's already at Android 4.3, it is a Singapore firmware.

I want to go back to an old rootable firmware so I can back up its TA partition before unlocking its bootloader. My question is, can I just flash any .257 firmware(regardless of customization number)? Like the one in here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42255153&postcount=3
Or can anybody link me to the same Singapore customization as mine, the old rootable firmware.
Thanks all in advance.

Yes, i just re-flash 4.2.2 then ROOT+CWM & flash eXistenZ v7.0.0 ROM by niaboc79.
I have one more question. After flashing that ROM i get update center notification of Kitkat, is it works if i download it & update my phone. Because i'm a little bit confuse about it & also update size is only 310MB.
Thanks

I have it, I will try it!

this file (LT18i_4.0.A.2.0.62) don't flash :S
Well, from what I can see, your phone is f*cked. It seems your flash memory is dead (however I might be wrong), since nothing flashes.
And, you can always try the older version of Flashtool to check if it works (that is the one I'm personally using since the newest doesn't work for me).

Are you using a device which wasn't offered by your service provider? You may need to flash different firmware.
Did you flash your current FW, or did you receive it via OTA? What is your phone's CSC?
If you flashed it earlier, flash again. If not be patient....

I've never flashed anything, I'm using the phone as I bought it about a year ago. I travel a lot though, so I change sim cards quite frequently.
My CSC is G998BOXM3BUK8

Changing SIM-cards regularly could be the cause...
What is shown under software version under phone info - software details - software version provider? (Or similar menu names) See attached SS.
You could consider flashing latest FW. This threat provides all info...

According to overview on sammobile.com your firmware is indeed up to date for CSC TPA (Panama).
