Got a question that isn't Rom specific but is affecting my phone in a weird way.
I flashed ARHD 53 originally and am now running ARHD 60.0 before that I was on insertcoin for a few months, for some reason since ARHD flash I cannot setup any instant messaging such as viber or natwest banking apps, the apps require me to insert my phone number but I don't receive any message or phone call to get a code.
Stock kernal, no xposed and no mods
I can send receive calls and texts as normal but not from any apps as I cannot set them up.
Yes I am inserting the correct phone number and I have had this phone from New.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm having trouble getting emoji to work in my SMS apps. Emoji works everywhere EXCEPT SMS apps. I downloaded GO SMS and the emoji plugin, and could only see the ones I sent. Received ones are boxes with question marks in them. I tried the same with Handcent and couldn't get it to work either. I had this same issue with my Evo LTE, but never had this problem on my Evo 3D. Could it be some interference with Jelly Bean?

Go SMS + emoji work fine on my note 2 running stock jb 4.1.2, have you tried disabling/freezing the stock messaging app?

I looked through settings and didn't see anything related. I hope this is something that just requires an app update. I still have at least a week till I will receive my One but if emjoi does't work my fiance will be pissed.

Yeah. It's especially annoying since I had this problem on my LTE. I was hoping that getting this device would fix the problem.

Another odd symptom I just found: my battery drained to 32% after three and a half hours, and GO SMS Emoji Plugin was causing most of the battery drain (61%). Not sure why that would happen.

As the title states, I'm having problems with tango verifying my phone number through sms.
Heres what happens, I download the app and put in my info including email and it states that I need to verify my phone number with a sms message it will send. So I hit the SEND button and I get nothing! I've tried this both with a stock phone and with a trickdroid one and both fail to receive message.
I've looked on tango site and it states that android will automatically intercept the message and verify my account which is not happening. Is anyone else having this same issue too?
Thanks,
Tim
bump?
geez I guess no one on xda uses TANGO for their video chat needs
I use Tango all the time, its been working fine for me. On stock and on trickdroid

I know this might seem like a noob question but whenever I open a text in the stock messaging app there is a second or so delay before it opens. I was just curious if this is normal.
It is if the message thread is long and/or contains mms messages

It does it with all messages. No matter the length or content. It's not an instant pop up like lets say kik.
On any two-part text messages I receive, i only get the first part no matter the messaging app i use. Not sure if it was happening before i flashed viperone or not.
Any one else have this problem?

Do you have the latest radio? and have you updated profile and prl?
I have updated profile and PRL several times. In fact, everytime i do it, it says it updated and I'm pretty sure there's not an update that often.
I have the 913_3 radio, so i guess not the latest. Should i try the newer one?

I recently purchased a Straight Talk plan ($45/mo) so I could use my Vivid as a phone. I have consistently been updating my ROM and testing out CM10.x, CM11, RR, PAC, AOKP... Anyway, while using the latest PAC rom, I noticed that I too had issues with sending and receiving MMS messages. Rignfool had previously posted a fix wherein one would download hangouts and use that, but I did not have success with this method (it might have been because I'm on ST as opposed to AT&T, or maybe I've always been flashing hangouts as a replacement default SMS app).
Anyway, I found that in my situation (clean install of PAC rom 8-6-2014 (android 4.4.4), flashing stock pa gapps, and flashing a backup of my user apps made through Titanium Backup), installing 8sms and then choosing it as my default SMS app in settings (just called "messaging" in my case). I made no changes to my APN at this point (my settings APN was Straight AT&T, tfdata), and sending pictures worked without a hitch!
I'm making this thread to discuss any ways to fix/workaround any MMS issues, with the hopes of uncluttering the development threads and actually getting solutions to those with problems.

Hangouts installed as a user app, or as a system app (I assume when you flash the full modular or stock pa gapps it gets installed as a system app)?
