Hello,
is it possible to receive the stream from an local sat receiver with enigma2?

Thanks

Hi,
I've been able to do that successfully.
I have a VuPlus Solo 2 with latest BlackHole image. I enabled Tuner server + Mediatomb upnp server in BH options. Now I can see my channel list as a dlna souce using BubbleUpnp client (+ server since TS streams are not complatile so they have to be transcoded) which sends them to CC . So far so good. I can watch my Sky Italy channels just fine.
Regards.
Pino.
I testet with all apps. My result: you need a receiver with transcoding (like vu plus) or a pc with bubbleupnp server in Background. I have a spark 7162 e2 hdmu. Waiting for a video player app with chromecast.

Hi
I've just purchased a Tab that will arrive shortly, i'm looking for something similar to Air Video that i use on my iPhone to stream movies from my DNLA NAS, is there an App that anyone can recommend?
Cheers.
i use the allshare app which is included in the tab by default and it is great!! u can use it as remote control to play streams to 3rd device or you can stream to tab
I'm using "upnplay". The UI is a bit klunky but it works great.
Anyone know of a great alternative to TVMobili on Windows OS? I'm using FUPPES atm and it makes UPNPlay freeze (for me, at least)
Is it possible to access these apps externally? At present i can access the Air Video server from any site wifi site so ican watch my movies whilst away from home.
I don't think so, they are DLNA based, so IFAIK it works only on your local network.
If you want to stream over the internet, you probably need another app/encoding station

Try Plex. As opposed to Air Video it doesn't support subtitles, but it's good and with a little port forward it can be accessed from outside of your network.

Has anyone used Orb Live, it appears to do everything that Air Video does?
I was trying to access my network storage and was running into issues with it. That's when i learned about VGET and the awesomeness of it.
Link to vget: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mb.videoget *
Prerequisites:
- must have chromecast suppported video's (i converted all our family video's using handbrake to compatible formats.)
- must have avia with casting enabled via in-app buy
- must have chromecast
- must have a tv!
Setup:
- Download vget from link above.
- open vget and in options menu, choose avia as the default video player for streaming videos from settings option.
- in vget options menu, disable desktop/flash mode (as flv can not be casted to chromecast)
How to stream local network video's on your router usb storage:
- get the http link to access your router. For netgear routers it is http://readyshare.routerlogin.net/shares
- open vget and browse to above url, and then keep drilling it to the MP4 you need
- when you open MP4 url on vget, it will give a popup to stream the video. Click it.
That's it! VGET will open avia and cast your video to chromecast with no hicups!
How to stream chromecast compatible internet video's
- open the website from where you need to stream a video, in VGET
- Instead of the video placeholder in the webpage, VGET will render a download type (down facing arrow) on the webpage.
- click on the downwards facing arrow image on the webpage and VGET will give an option to stream it.
- click the stream button.
That's it! VGET will open avia and cast your video to chromecast with no hicups!
I was able to play all my compatible local video's and most of internet video's directly.
Now this makes chromecast really really useful....

Both are diiferent...
plex can't stream videos embedded in websites. Also plex needs an additional server to run to be useful.
Where as vget and avia can be used anywhere to cast videos...
Plex is for transcoding video on runtime..which vget cant do.
So plex meets a need, but is not answer to everything.
So there is a difference

That's the main sticking point I have with Plex. I don't always want to turn on my PC, which takes 70 - 100 watts just to stream a video through Plex player using the required Plex Media Server. I often just want to use an USB drive, or an external hard drive connected to a wireless router that has DNLA and stream videos from there. Avia works fine for that. Avia can also see the Plex server and it looks really nice. But again, I don't want to turn on the PC just to stream videos.
I would like to get a small NAS server under $300. All have DNLA support but none I found that can be used to run Plex Media Server so far.
Unable to get VGET + AVIA + Chromecast to stream a few days ago but it did download the video. Tried it again yesterday on the same video(I think) and it wouldn't do nothing!! Vget wouldn't play the video from my PC either. Not sure what's going on. App interaction or an update on something doomed the process.

I have a synology NAS with the ability to install plex (DS211J). Cost was about $300 with drives. I just set up a chromecast in combination with avia and it works like a charm to play local media so long as the format is capable of being played.

Do you know what's the access link for a router that has ddwrt on it? it was a dlink 615 but I guess it changed after I flashed ddwrt.

Spend a bit of time to familiarise yourself with the website and the content in the desktop browser. VGET works the same way.
Funny I just kind of figured this combo out myself when I downloaded Vget a couple days ago and saw that it gave me Avia as a player option. For those saying it does nothing when clicking to stream other than taking it to Avia, that happens to me sometimes. It's kind of frustrating I have to try the same web video several times before it will finally play on Avia instead of just taking it to the default Avia screen. I always have little issues with Chromecast and Avia though. My phone always 'disconnects' from Chromecast even though things keep playing on my TV..but I can no longer control it. I go back into an app and re-connect to Chromecast and it starts videos over. I wonder if it's because my phone is old..Galaxy Nexus.
If only Chromecast supported more codec's because only few 1 channel and project free tv links work like Gorillavid works but not Putlocker.

I am looking for a simple video player that just streams video content to my phone via dlna. plex is fine but only works with.. plex ms. my server is ps3mediaserver. I have tried skifta but it's really slow.. I have tried other apps such as imediashare or upnp player with not so good results..
I have used xbmc in the past, it works fine, however I'd rather have something simpler, only for dlna.
thanks for any idea I could try

Hi,
Get the new Version of MilkVRLauncher from GIT
I have made some new improvements:
Forwarding of local files to MilkVR.
Will now better recognize http links. Your broser should now ask you to use MilkVRLauncher when you open an linkt to a .mp4 file in the internet.
Support of chosing Audio Format. (5.1 spatial, Quadraphonic, Binaural). This option's are under the video formats.
I have added a new donation button. If you like this project you can now support me.
As soon as 25€ are "in the box" I will bring this app to the playstore. (of yourse it will stay at GIT)
greetings,
heavy
Support this Project with payPal
Would this stream from synology nas ?
Hi,
yes. You can stream from any dlna server. Use bubbleUPNP or anDLNA to browse the media.
When you chose a video it will ask you which media player to use. Chose MilkVRLauncher. This will offer you some options and one Click start milkVR ...

No, I am sorry: This is no media player. I use the Samsung MilkVR player. I only grab the url and forward it to milkVR. In my app you can additional chose format for video and audio. This informations I forward also.
But: You can play from any http source, and with ESFileExplorer from an SMB share also (in oculus dev mode)
The media player is milkVR which is using stock codecs ...

Yes, it does
i tested the app.
only video, no audio. apparently it wont transcode on-the-fly like the app "MegaCast".
no reason from my side to use your app, unless you can do better on-the-fly transcoding, for example just transcode the audio stream and pass through the video stream.
THAT would be a reason to use your app!
it was 1080p h264 + dual language ac3 (i guess) in mkv.

Hi, Purah
Thank you for your review.
Did you cast some local video from your device, or you used DLNA server? And what chromecast version you are using?
Actually ViCast does audio only transcoding when it is possible and it looks like your file is a case. There is a known issue with ChromecastUltra which may lead to behaviour that you have described. We will add this note to the description.
Could you please provide us the file which you have tried to cast?

Why cannot i cast movie codec bluray.h264.aac.mp4 from my tablet to tv. On tablet it works perfectly.
Hi,
I've got this "HuiHeng WiFi Display Dongle", which is supposed to do Airplay, DLNA and Miracast. However it has very poor decoding capabilities. As a result, almost none of my local video files can be casted to this device.
My question is, is ViCast compatible with DLNA and/or Airplay? If not, do you have any plans to include DLNA support in the near future? Willing to pay for a reliable transcoding app for DLNA.
Thanks in advance for your time

I'm was planning to buy a Chromecast today to take away with me on my upcoming one month South America trip but the majority of my media is in MKV format, mostly x264 and more recently x265. if viCast can do x264 MKV then I will definitely give it a try. But can ViCast do x265 yet? If not, is this something you think will be possible? Recently I have started only encoding or downloading x265 files due to their tiny size so if I could cast those via the Chromecast I'd be a very happy camper.
Also, is your app able to find and view videos files in hidden folders (ones prefixed with a dot)? My kids use my phone quite a bit so I want to make sure any unsuitable TV shows or movies (or any other, ahem, "adult oriented videos") I might have cannot be viewed by them.
If it doesn't can I make a suggestion? I've seen so many people also request this in other apps - basically you allow support for hidden files and folders but password protect it so even if my 5 year old starts ViCast they can only see the vids in the main Google/OS Videos folder. But if I wanted to watch hidden files I could enter the password (entered during setup) and it would list them and allow me to play them. What do you think?
Superb app! Keep up the good work..
May i have one suggestion though? Please add a video zoom option so that any video size can be zoomed to fill up any screen from where it is watched ?
I have installed de this app but it's not working on Android 9. Every time i tried to cast something the app simply closes itself. The developers still suport the app?
