This might be to specific or weird, but is there any way to keep Google Play Music in full screen on my TV when I cast it? At the start of a song it goes full screen mode, but after a few seconds it changes to a smaller pic of the album art that keeps moving around the screen. It moves like the screen saver of an early 2000s DVD player and it enrages me.
I want full screen. Please help.
Drives me batty too but I believe it's to prevent screen burn in

yeah, certainly is to avoid screen burn.
What I did is connect the CCast in my 5.1 receiver and then just leave the TV turned off while casting Google Music

I have the video out cable for my Dinc and It works very well, but I can't figure out a way to disable the main phone screen while I am using the TV out cable. I use it quite a bit on flights as I have some MyVu video glasses that let me watch movies on them. The issue is that the battery is being depleted very quickly due to havign the main screen on even though I am not watching it.
Is there an app or setting that will toggle the main screen on or off, or let the screen sleep without stopping the video playback like when you hit the top sleep button as long as the video out cable is plugged in?
When ever I am streaming music from a web site, when the screen locker comes on, it stops the music. I wanted to know if there was a way to stop this other then turning off the screen locker and turning the brightness all the way down.
I have noticed that compare to the on computer content such as youtube. especially like androidauthority youtube video. I noticed that on YouTube their bottom right conner icon has more blank space. However when I cast from youtube to my TV. I noticed that the video is a bit cut off, not a big deal, but just a bit cut off. Anyone see this too? My TV is an Old Philips 32 inches from at least 4 years back, but surprise has HDMI-CEC
It's overscan, try to turn that setting off it has it.
Tried searching everywhere for a my problem. Just bought the CC over the weekend. Brought it home, set it up and everything worked great. However, after watching a few movies via Googel cast on Chrome using the yellow video player, I noticed the screen would dim down in low light scenes and brighten back up in brighter scenes. Same scenario with Plex, Youtube, and Netflix. Anyone else have this issue?

That's nothing to do with Chromecast. That's your TVs "feature" called Dynamic Contrast (or similar marketing name). It is probably enabled on HDMI input you are using Chromecast on.
Re: Chromecast fluctuating Brightness
I have a brand new Chromecast device and I am having brightness issues myself but think it is the fact that I have a cheap import TV. overall casting is always much darker than on my pc on all 3 HDMI ports and my TV has no Dynamic Contrast setting. It does have a dynamic color setting but all that does is add vibrance and sharpness and I leave that off as it makes movies look unnatural.
Even when I cast from my Phone or Tablet the image is darker and there are blues in the darker areas making the image beyond ugly if I turn up the brightness/contrast on my TV.
I hope I can get the cash together for a more expensive TV as I think it is the only way to get a decent image when casting. It would be good if the chromecast extension and the chromecast app had a brightness/contrast/gamma settings in their options to counteract this glitch on cheaper TV's (and cheaper than a new TV)
P.s. Sorry for necroing but this post shows that brightness issues are still happening to this day.
So the touchscreen on my phone was acting up and I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. When I was at the gym listening to music, I guess my screen turned on in my pocket and my music paused coming in contact with me since the phone was facing my skin. The same thing happened if I left a youtube video on. With youtube videos it would pause, move the time bar or switch songs. When I try listening to voicemails the phone would randomly go to standby, possibly by the double tap triggering. All this happens without me touching the screen directly in anyway. Was this something with the software or something else?
Mine has done this when my leg was sweaty, it triggered the leg skin touches through the fabric.
My screen won't turn on even if i press the button on the back sometimes but if i hold it towards any source of light it will work fine.but if I'm in a dark place it will not turn on.any ideas what could cause this?

It may be that your screen is turning on, but the auto-brightness is adjusting the screen to full darkness mode because of detecting the dark place. You can try manually disabling auto bright?
