Seems to be missing some steps
First hold power button until you see power off/restart option, dont release power button instead keep holding power button until you see 'rebooting...' message, then release button, wait until recovery is shown then use power button to step through the options. Once recovery is highlighted, press and hold power button again for about 3 seconds to select that option.

simply pressing power at this stage will just reboot (continue). You need to either press and hold power for a beat or rapid press to get it to jump to next option.

When the volume keys to select the option "reboot system now" and press the power button nothing happens. Nothing happens even when I press the home button, which I did not ever worked. When I hold power button for 10 seconds the cell phone turned off, and when I hold a few seconds, the mobile restart and back into recovery mode.

if u guys just like to get the phone back to work, it would be the best to just flash a new ROM via ODIN. After that, the phone boots normally.
But I dont know if this is an option!
Hope u are still able to get the phone to downloadmode via 3-Button-Combo?!

Home button isn't working -> no 3 button combo
try using a jig to get it in download mode and flash a stock rom
In recovery mode, you also can boot system with power-button.

Turn your phone off. If you want to enter recovery mode, hold the home button plus volume up plus power button. Keep them pressed until the screen comes on. Wait for two more seconds and then let go. To enter download mode press the home button plus volume down plus power button. You should see an android with a warning sign appear on the screen.
There's no way to exit download mode, but if you are not flashing anything, it's safe to turn the phone off by pulling the battery despite what it says on the screen.

Galaxy S Plus no recovery mode

Hi!
I've just upgraded my Galaxy S Plus to the official 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Everything seems ok, maybe a bit slow though, I'd like to do a master reset but I can't be able to access the Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up and Power, Nothing happens. It just starts up normally.
I can't find anything regarding this matter.
Hopefully someone can help me.
Thanks :cyclops:

The correct combination to activate the recovery is VolUp+Home+Power.

SOLVED...... Stuck in DOWNLOAD MODE

Went into download mode...power + vol up & vol down .... Now can't re-boot.
Tried holding power button forever and nothing ...
Anyone know the trick since pulling battery won't work LOL

Ouch. What really sucks is that the battery is so damn good that it could be a while if you were to just let it drain.
I'm surprised that a long press on the power button isn't rebooting the device. I have plenty of Samsung devices (S6 edge and tablets) without removable batteries and if it gets stuck, holding the power button always does the trick.

It works on my sprint S6.. Thanks
NOPE!
its not working bruh !! i am having galaxy grand 2:cyclops:
Download Stock firmware from Sammobile
Dont panic
Download latest stock rom from sammobile in accordance to your model no
Note- download latest firmware. And also if you download firmware from other sources odin will not be able flash it so download latest stock rom from sammobile.
Then download ODIN 3 latest (3.12) and then select ap and then select the stock rom. It will take time just sit back and relax. If you try to scroll it will not respond. It will display a message LEAVE CS,
Now press and hold volume down key+ home button+ power button and get into download mode and then continue press Volume Up continue. Now get the original samsung cable and attach the cable to the pc,
Odin will display a message added. And then start. Do not interfere just sit back and relax.
Your phone is back
Oh yeah

It has to work, maybe you have to vary the timing, also you can try with tap on restart phone and keep pressing only volume up button till recovery appears.
if you upgraded to android 11 you HAVE to plug in via USB....not sure why they changed so much on android 11
I'm on A11 and the button method works fine for me... on the three S10+ phones I have used recently.
I asked this question on the community section in the Samsung members app and someone told me I needed to plug in the device into my charger and then press volume up and bixby and after pressing them while keeping them pressed I need to press the power button.and Keep all the 3 buttons pressed till I am in recovery,This has worked for me

You have no idea how grateful I am for your explanation. Everyone always says a bunch of different key combinations and timing and I ALWAYS have to google it and try many times untill I am able to reboot. But it was THIS SIMPLE ALL ALONG. Wow. This worked perfectly and only on my first try! Since there is no timing to worry about. and only one key to remember. I do normally have to have my cable connected to my PC. But now it is so simple! THANK YOU
