Hi,
I recently got a wireless charging receiver for the phone and now I get this annoying popup which says to close the micro usb properly to prevent water damage.
This happens also sometimes during charging in the middle of the night.
Can anyone tell me how to disable the popup? To make it clearer, it is not the flashing text that appears when the phone is connected to the charger. ( this can be disabled via xposed module)
The one I am talking about is more like a text with a white background picture.
"for protection against water damage firmly seal the charging cover before use"
Anyone else with the "problem" ?
I am on NEE-I9295XXUBMK2.
Thanks for the help in advance.
[edit]
this also happens when I disconnect the device from USB.

I second that!
I have found battery_cover_notice.xml in systemui\res\layout
There is an battery_cover_notice_image and an battery_cover_notice_message
The Pic is help_img_usb.png in folder systemui\res\drawable-hdpi
Now you can try and delete the battery_cover_notice.xml from the SystemUI

I tried and it worked ( at least the popup doesn't appear anymore) but I do not have a notification area at the top anymore. No clock, Signal or anything.
Perhaps it's because of the odex file? Didn't touch that.
I will try it again. Might be, I did something wrong.....
Thanks
okay thanks for feedback...
I will investigate this....
So is there no non-root way of disabling this?

I am.
No solution found so far.
Only I remember - that started after OTA update from Samsung in later 2013.
On original software I didn't have such warning.
Before and after is 4.2.2 Android, I didn't notice any changes, so I am lookiing for old firmware to download...
p.s. I also have wireless charger from "indiegogo"

Cloud it be that this notice is a toast with a custom theme? You could check it with my app EnhancedToast, and hide it if it is a toast. Enable logging in the app and watch it.And yes, root is required for Xposed. Btw, the Google edition don't show it at all

^Mostly what I was going to say, so thanks.
You should check EnhancedToast if you can, and you could always switch ROM's - I'm loving the CM 10.2 ROM, which doesn't have the warning, and offers a lot of other advantages. If a notification comes up in the bar, long-press it and see if comes up with the "app info" button - it could be run through some sort of stock app that you could disable or uninstall altogether.
Hi everyone! I'm new on the forum and in smartphones as well. Rooted GT-i9252 last week. Starting to develop app in future.

Any good source to learn more of ROMs? What do I lose if I dump the original, what do I get with some other ROM?
How should I backup? Meaning there's lot's of data:
- contacts and messaging and that stuff
- pictures, music, videos etc
- OS (?)
- ROM
- Apps (downloaded and system)
Maybe someone could explain the best practice to backup ROM,OS and apps.
Thanks in advance, Kaptah.

What method of rooting your phone did you use? They are not the same thing, but it is possible to do them both at the one time. If everything looks different, then yes, you would have changed your ROM while rooting.

Sorry, my mistake, i checked, but its in the Lockscreen options, almost at the bottom, @ power options there you can "Hide Wireless Charging Dialog"i think that's what you need...
You installed "Wanam xposed"?

OK I've found the option but it's not the one I was looking for. This one seems to remove the message when you plug your phone to the power supply. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway thanks a lot for your help.

This problem appeared/reappeared when i upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.3 (ML2)
After rooting ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2690133 )
and disabling KNOXagent it still gives this warning, which it did not do after the 4.2.2 Active Root.
This is merely an annoyance but if someone figures out a quick way to disable it that would be grand.
i have this issue too. cant wait for a fix for this. just updated to 4.3 a few days ago and having to tap the bubble everytime is just annoying. why the hell would they add these rediculous notifications? its not like att or samsung will stand behind the "waterproof" claim anyway..... water damage weather the door is open or closed means your screwed no matter what.
I've personally tried using the "EnhancedToast" module for xposed and the prompts do not register as toast events. It has to be something else.
Is it just me or do other members of this forum also have problems with there microphone volume?
During a call, people on the other side are hearing me not so good.
And yes i unchecked the noise reduction in phone settings.
If so, anyone got a solution for this problem?
No one???
If you're still using my CM12 build, you might increase the microphone volume with FauxSound app.
Is it in your rom?

No, it's a paid app from Play Store.
However, adjusting the same audio features is also supported by 3C toolbox or System Tuner. Both are free, yet a little too bloated with features I personally don't need.

Hi guys! Is there a way to make the vibration of the phone (no UI changes or text notification, just vibration) an event/input? Thanks :cyclops:
Uhh....that sounds weird. Can you give a bit more information. What specific thing is causing your phone to vibrate in the first place that you want Tasker to respond to?

Pokemon go app When a pokemon appear, the phone vibrate. I would like to use it as an event to make my smartwatch notify it to me.

Ahah I know I know it may sounds stupid, but it's just a way of playing it without staying watching the screen all the time while walking. I thought to use tasker to do that but I can't find a way to use that vibration as an input, there're no other notifications.

Ahh.....OK. If that is the case, I dunno.... There is probably a real hacky way to do it with shell script and root or something....but nothing straight forward

Hmm... I'm not sure if this would work, but have you tried notification listener from play store? It's a tasker plug in. It might be enough that the vibration came from the game to trigger...

Hey there.
Since the Xposed XLED module is deprecated and doesn't seem to work on Oreo, is there a solution, a mod or anything to make the notification led blinks quicker?
I mean on X Compact it blinks every 1 or 2 seconds, it's really easy to miss.
Thanks.
have you tried something like lightflow, or notification apps

Yes but it's way too much ressources, XLED was light and simple.
I figured you can achieve this with Gravity Box for Oreo.
But if ever someone can find a more direct/simple solution, I'm all ears.
Thanks!

Thanks but this is absolutely not what I'm asking.
To answer my own question, I'm now using "Light Manager".
It does exactly what I wanted, it's not expensive, and not heavy weight.
On Android 10, there are some microphone issues seen on custom ROMs. I've used myself Evolution X 4.0 and saw it.
The problem is for sure not hardware related. The problem stops at some point after a reboot. When the microphone stops working again, it only gets fixed after a reboot.
I see a lot of people trying to fix that issue but no luck...
Usually, the microphone problems are:
• No voice message output on Facebook messenger
• No phone call capability
• Maybe more issues I've not found out yet
THIS FIX IS ONLY FOR SOFTWARE ISSUES WITH MICROPHONE. IT WON'T WORK IF IT IS A HARDWARE RELATED PROBLEM.
Instructions:
Just flash the zip using Magisk Manager.
DO NOT use TWRP because the installation will fail!
Cheers!?

This is strange. Because you can always disable google app mic permission, and there are mic problems in custom roms for our device and disabling google app mic permission fix the mic problem.
Try disabling using root or ask the rom developer for a fix. AFAIK disabling mic permission to google app will solve mic problem.

disable "ok google" in google home and you're good
Some ROMs have Google built in and you can't modify it's permissions. You'll have to find a way to delete it or use a different ROM.
Hi there. Any news about this fix? I resolved disabling "ok Google" in Google home but for me is important to have that enabled. May be some Android 9 rom can solve problem? Actually I have pixel experience Android 10 and mic random doesn't work. Thanks

Disabling microphone permission for the Google app, or switching off 'Hey Google' detection, stops the microphone working completely.
I'm on crDroid 6.3 with no GApps and I have the issue that the Mic is extremely loud for Instagram Live and other inApp recording. This is probably not related to this issue here?

Me too. Pixel Experience ROM for Redmi Note 7 (Lavender) has an issue where microphone does not work for Google's Recorder app. This module patch did not work, the issue still persists!
I am very frustrated, as this is only one issue out of many that @letsmakecakes definitely knows exists but (I assume) has trouble fixing. I am not sure if the language barrier between me and a lot of users on the XDA forums is making it harder to communicate my issues, as some have difficulty communicating in English.
