Reincarnation For GT-S5570I - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I flashed Reincarnation for GT-S5570I as steps and it didn't boot why???

Accually, I really don't have 10 posts to post on our fourm so i think you could help me.
Right?

Did you wipe? Most people say they did everything and they don't wipe. And are you using CWM or stock recovery? That's another mistake people often make.

I wiped factory data and data partition and using CWM v.5

Btw, It has an installation while flashing and it was written that it's for galaxy Y but the topic that i got link from was on Galaxy mini GT-S5570I android development fourm

Are you using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649487 recovery or which?
And the text at installation can say anything, it's a matter of changing a line in the updater script. You can make it say Galaxy S5 and work on s5570i.

I think just wiping data isn't enough. You might want to wipe everything like /data, /cache and /system.
Also (this is important), remember to mount all partitions before flashing the kernel first (wiping /system probably removes the kernel, just in case) and then flashing the ROM.
In the installation it says Galaxy Y GT-S5360, but the necessary porting has been done so it is safe to flash for our phone. You can edit it not in the updater-script but in some txt files related to the Aroma Installer.

maybe something is wrong with your sd-ext partition, the apk are being installed there because of s2e.
edit; try another format ext2/ext3

It didn't restarted again means there is some problem in installing. Please read this for more info and make sure you get the exact result as mentioned there.
Few things to keep in mind...
1. [format, optional but recommended] and mount sd-ext at boot
run mount | grep sd-ext command in terminal for it.
Make sure you get this result
/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 on /sd-ext type ext3 (rw,noatime,nodiratime,barrier=1,nodelalloc,data=ordered)
If not format or repartition your sd-ext and try again.
2. mount /data and /system on CWM recovery

Well you might not get the same like yagya did : /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 on /sd-ext type ext3 (rw,noatime,nodiratime,barrier=1,nodelalloc,data=ordered) .
The ext3 for you could be a ext4 so don't be afraid or shocked if you get other filesystem
Ok..then I will format my extra partition and try it again..and the ext partition must be formatted in recovery right? Or any specific mthd i should follow to format it...?

android see its intalled in the phone memory, but technically it resides in your sd-ext.
Ya it can install the apps to sd ext automatically once you install the scripts...download dt a2sd gui from market and select dalvik cache on sd ext..that's it all your apps will be installed on the partition that you have created...

BootLoop changing from cyanogenmod

I've a problem changing rom from cyanogenmod to any other rom; if I flash the new one from clockwork I've a boot loop, with all the roms I've tried.
The only thing I can do is go back again to cyanogenmod or flash the whole stock rom, loosing all internal sd card contents, and then install the new rom; but I've to root the stock to install clockwork again.
I hope anyone can understand my bad english, sorry.
Please help! ;-)
Byez.

Did you do the three wipes before installing? What cwm version do you have installed? The new one with the touch interface would only install MIUI and nothing else for me. Every other rom caused a bootloop. Reverting to cwm 5.0.2.7 solved it for me.

in CM /system is EXT4 but stock/some other ROMs use EXT3, so reverting to stock via a nandroid (something I've tried & seen fail) or flashing a ROM thats updater script doesn't format the partition to the type it needs will fail as you'll just overwrite the contents of the EXT4 partition & have a kernel that only supports EXT3, hence bootloops
There a flashable zip files that just format /system (and other partitions too) to whichever you need in one of the stickys in the development section, have a look in here & do some reading in those threads to see if this is the problem you are having or if I'm way off base
as with everything, backup before you mess with it
(I'm pretty new to the P990 so could be missing something)
Tnx, I will look for the script and I think the problem is just the ext4.
Thanks, I will let you know. ;-)

[Q] what exactly means "manual format /system"

Hi everyone,
Many custom roms nowadays have in their instalation instructions a point that sais that it is recommended to perform a "manual format /system". I'd like to ask what does it mean exactly? After doing full wipe/factory reset, cache and dalvik wipe should I open aroma and delete "/system" folder?
I've tried to google it but it doesn't seem to appear anywhere.
I'm really sorry for my bad english.
cheers

Manually formatting /system is recommended because it delete the system inbuilt apps which may not be compatible with the new ROM which you are going to install,
Apparently, even if the base is the same !
It is recommended by dev's ! It better to do it
I believe it happens for the rom to find completely blank space to extract withought creating malfunctions.
Manually formatting means that after you wipe data/ factory reset.. open mounts and storage (not aroma) and there you'll find an option to format system

This doesn't wipe internal SD
Quick explanation
/system/ is the system partition in android, while
/storage/sdcard0/ is the internal SD
You might also have
/data/
/datadata/
And so on, formatting either of these in cwm won't affect the others, so internal storage is safe unless you choose to wipe it.

/system is the folder that contains everything of your ROM. Devs ask to manually format the /system because it will completely wipe the ROM of your phone, including the kernel provided together with the ROM. This is to make sure full functionally of the new ROM you're installing.

Wiping /datadata is not a factory reset which prevents bootloops like yours. Wipe /data, /cache and dalvikcache, after flash the rom you want again and it should boot up

on the other hand you can use the link you mentioned too, but you may need to download a CF rooting kernel to go with it.

Problem with installing cronmod int2ext

Hello,
I am a noob with a little experience in using custom roms on a HTC Wildfire S. My WFS is broken en since today iam a ace user. I have rooted the SGA and im using CWM recovery and installed the CM9 TW-rom from Sky-walker. GREAT ROM by the way. I want to use Int2ext cronmod script but i cant get it working. Ive already tried different things. With the WFS i always used it with a lot of different roms and had never any problems.
When installing i have followed the instructions of croniccorey.
I have format my sd-card and created a partition using CWM
Also tried it with SpaceCakers SGS and AOSP GB.
And already mounted system and data.
Does anybody have suggestions what to do?
Thanks!

Mount /system, /data, /sd-ext and flash it, It should work fine
Try to put it in init.d folder and set the permissions manually using a file browser, then reboot your device

Apps are not installing after Int2Ext+
Hi,
I was using Apocalypse ROM with CronMod Int2Ext+ (Ext2 partition on SD) and everything was working fine. Recently, I downloaded a new ROM - The Ultimatum and installed Int2Ext+. It installed correctly, however I could not install many apps after that. Downloading from market would give an error. This problem is happening for only those several set of apps.
Can someone pls guide me as to what the problem might be. I'm kind of new here.

Kunal

I tried the above with link2sd and darktremor a2sd as well, but all were giving the same problem. Before installing any app2sd script the applications were installing correctly. Only after installing the script they stopped working. Is there some script on The Ultimatum ROM which is clashing with the above app2sd scripts?
I know I should post this on the ROM page, however I do not have the priviledges.

AFAIK The Ultimatum rom has already an int2ext script it might be the problem (swap all kernel) so follow he steps to install it correctly, you only need to mount /sd-ext and format this partition before flahs the rom to clean your sd-ext partition.
If you select fire kernel then you'll need int2ext script
1. download it and put it in sdcard's root
2. boot into cwm
3. mount /system /data and /sd-ext
4. format /sd-ext
5. flash the script
6. enjoy

I know how to install int2ext.. I did it for my previous ROM and it was working perfectly..
I installed The Ultimate ROM with Firekernel. I have an ext2 partition on my sd. And i did the steps as you have mentioned above, however its still giving the same issues.. Some apps are not getting installed..
