I've just discovered the website http://opensource.samsung.com/ . Does it mean we can now easily modify the base Stock ROM ?
I'd like to build my own Android build on JB 4.1.2, with adding some small additions.
There you will only find kernel sources, which we are already using

Any way to get the ROM Source ?

I do not think so.
Solution - modify with decompiling with apk tool.

Go into the ramdisk on both and go into init.rc
THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN THIS (THE MATTER OF BOOT AND BOOTLOOP) IS THE LINE
"export BOOTCLASSPATH" near the top. It will have a bunch of lines after it. Now in the Base's boot.img, delete this whole line. Replace it with the lines from Sense's boot.img.
see attachment:
Boot.img - Sense
Boot.img Stock LG ICS 4.0.3 Kernel

Every aosp rom uses a different boot.img (kernel) unless its just a modded one (even miui has kernel changes)
