I'm running Eureka ROM on my Chromecast and was wondering if there was anyway to get Showtime Anytime so play on the Chromecast?
Thanks!
an alternative is use EZCast with Tronsmart dongle (from China) but it kicks but until Chromecast can do full mirror. Very little to no lag. Best i;ve used. I use both Tronsmart with EZcast & Chromecast to watch different apps.

Eureka-ROM can get an app to run when it isn't authorized to run (because it's not on the whitelist) but supporting Chromecast for playback (or anything else) requires the application itself to implement it.
Send Showtime a note and tell them HBO is already working with Chromecast in the HBO GO app...
Does showtime anytime work on chrome for android? If it does you can stream it to your chromecast. Hth

Hello,
I have a project where I have to stream live phone camera to Chromecast. It turns out that Chromecast download the content from the internet. Is there anyway to stream locally to Chromecast?
Thanks for your help,
arash
EZCast do it.
It is great app
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.actionsmicro.ezcast
Thanks for your recommendation.
Indeed, EZCast does what I want. But what I actually want is to implement what EZCast does with more functionality.
Do you know how is it possible with the current architecture of Chromecast to stream video camera stream?
thanks

Hi
You have to make the phone as a web server and than make the stream of the camera.
I have made a app thats work like that: Live cast
google play com.dipbox.livecast
I have a note 2 with a cracked screen that's too expensive to fix at the mo and was wondering if there's a way to turn it into a Chromecast for my kitchen TV?
I will order a HDMI dongle if it's possible. I'd like it to have Chromecast functionality rather than manually using the device to select stuff.

You can turn it in to a dlna device using bubbleupnp. Install it on the note and on the device your gonna stream from.
It's not the same as chromecast (cast function in apps won't work). But you can stream movies, music, SoundCloud and youtube with it.

Cool. Does it all render on the device I'm steaming from or does it pluck it from online like the Chromecast?

Both, i got an old android tvstick with bubbleupnp installed in my bedroom and i stream stuff from my server, tablet and showbox (last one is a internet stream).
You need to choose a external video player in bubbleupnp on your note to watch movies. I use Archos video player and the free codecpack in the playstore

Yes, AFAIK the Cast SDK 2.0 release had some device-specific key/identifier requirement that sunk the software emulators.
Hey Guys,
Im looking to stream movies that i have downloaded to my SD card from my Tab S to my chromecast. I have All cast which i use for Streaming Showbox, But is there an app that i can get (Paid or not) that will allow me to stream directly to chromecast from my Tab S?
Thanks in advance
I have no problem paying for an app either, What has the best interface and the least amount of bugs.
The Chromecast app itself has screencast. Did you try that?
The best program I can recommend is still Plex , but it requires a PC and software and Plex account... But yeah, if stability isn't important, your first steps should be trying something like BubbleUPNP or Allcast or of course the Chromecast app (but the latter was eternally buggy for me).
I agree, I use plex to stream from my laptop or just the Chromecast app on my iPad.

Bubbleupnp is the way!
I have found if screen mirroring works natively, you can use VLC to play videos to the Chromecast while mirroring. Your device is used as a remote while the file is streamed.

There's a ton of apps out there that can cast local media, so screen casting is pointless. One of the better ones and free is Local cast.
Hy,
I´va a tronsmart S82 running with Kodi 14.2. Now I´d like to stream from one room to another from der S82 with a miracast dongle.
It is possible that is to operate separately from 2 different locations?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
It may be but you might want to look at the Yatse XBMC remote that will let you stream from any XBMC to CCast and even local device.
I have an HTPC running XBMC and with the App I can stream content to my Android or CCast.
If the only XBMC you have running is on the android device then Miracast might be your only option and god know how well it will work....
But Google announced better second screen support (similar to miracast) as part of Android M.
So if and when it gets released for your unit you may have another option at some point.
Have you tried simply screen casting your device to the CCast?
CCast
Hy, thx for your reply.
Do you mean with CCast Chromecast from Google Chrome? I didn´t try it yet, but did I understand it right that you can remotely control the kodi device with xbmx remote on all CC?

Yes Yatse is a remote control for any XBMC that is connected to the local network. But it also adds the capability to stream content directly to the App or to a CCast.
Normally an XBMC remote will only display on the device output of the actual XBMC unit. Yatse has a Toggle Switch to tell it to display the stream on the device running the app and by turning it on it allows you to send that content to the CCast and control it.
As for what I was referring to with Cast screen (and that was only if you are running XBMC directly on the Android device) is if your Android device has KitKat installed then you probably also have Cast Screen ability which lets you mirror your Android screen to the CCast.
Look for that in the Display Settings of Android or you might find an Icon in the Quick Drop down Menu.
I noticed I get the icon to mirror my phone to my LG tv immediately when I'm using my youtube app but not when I play a movie with the stock video player. Is there a video app that has built in Miracast? I'll try VLC since it mentions Miracast and see when I get home.

Native miracast is hit and miss as Google seems to have coded it to not fully work as to move users to Chromecast. Try LocalCast on playstore and play with the settings to see if that works.
I personally have never been able to cast successfully on my N6. I caved in and bought a Chromecast lol
I'll probably get a roku and I think it can cast to it but it might need a casting app for the roku and for the phone
