We’re still a week away from the Samsung Galaxy S5′s Australian launch, and the price-cutting battle between telcos, online stores and retailers is already happening. If you’re willing to wait a week or two for your new phone to be shipped over from Hong Kong, you can find a great discounted deal.
Millennius.com has the black 16GB SM-G900 Galaxy S5 for $779, as well as white — that’s the cheapest price we’ve seen online so far for an outright handset. Kogan has the same model for $849 in all four colour variants, as well as a $999 32GB capacity, but all stock has apparently already been snapped up. MobiCity wants $899 for the 16GB, but unlike Kogan is still taking orders. These phones will almost certainly be international units coming from Hong Kong, where prices are lowest for grey importers to source their inventory.
eBay prices are depressingly high; the cheapest you’ll find a 16GB model is $958 with free postage, and $1079 for 32GB. If you want to buy a discounted new Galaxy S5, you might like to have a look at Melbourne-based Millennius.
mobicity went from 899 to 849 then sold out. now its back at 899 lol.
never buying from mobicity again after my experience with my xperia z
EDIT: oh, this isnt a retailer, but there are S5s going for 699USD on ebay and it has free shipping to Australia. can't link here since im at school
Thanks for that, I will be buying one on the weekend from them after I get paid from work.

I dont think the ebay ones are legit when you have these companies that are selling them cheap compared to the big brick retailers.
I dont think you can go lower then them at this stage, there almost approaching the S4 price if ebay is legit which I dont think so

Yes here exynos is official version. The price is bit surprising as note 3 was launched here for $830. I was expecting the $850 for s5.

yeah, here in australia the price of S5 is 849 to 899, S4 launched for 749 here i believe. :/
I pre-ordered mine from AT&T the other day. The no contract price is $650.
I found the Octa Core exynos cheap on Ebay ($650ish), but I want the snapdragon one.
I just went on millenius.com and it turns out they only do bank transfer and something else for payment.
no paypal option seems super shady to me..
I went to the local electronics store in Herzliya and they told me 2,600.00 shekel ($745.844) which is actually less than I thought it would be. I thought it would be more like 4000 haha.

Okay...I've been drooling over this phone for the past few weeks. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger...but I'm looking for the least expensive but most reputable online dealer to make my purchase. I'm in the USA so it would have to be imported.
Suggestions? Experiences? Warranty issues? I'm all ears. Let me know what your experience has been with the different online retailers.
Cheers!

Good Point! eBay is probably the one place I haven't looked! Thanks man!
Amazon has a few sellers offering them for around 650. they're also fulfillment so you get free 2 day shipping.
I'm also getting ready to pull the trigger.
If you're just looking for a cheap price, eBay has Australian Notes on sale, which I think is the cheapest of them all due to currency fluctuations.
Anybody know of a seller that does international shipping that has a REALLY lenient return policy? I tend to have horrible luck with displays and don't want to get stuck with one with defects (I once had to return five LCD monitors in a row because each one had more than two dead/stuck pixels! Also, my current Cellphone, a Streak, has an always-on stuck red pixel).
Given the fact that AMOLED screens slowly develop defects, I would really like to find a seller that offers 14+ day return policy with little or no expense on my part, in case I end up making multiple returns.
I found this in another thread but Integrontech has them for $650 also. Here's the link: http://www.integrontech.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-N7000-16GB-Unlocked-Black-p/sam-n7000.htm
I've never used them...so I'm not sure how reputable they are.
I did buy my i9100 from expansys USA and it was perfect! Fast shipping. Never had any trouble with the hardware...so I never dealt with the warranty part. But my experience with them was very good.
Might pay to be a little more patient, I'm thinkin' there will be at least another 50 drop post Christmas.
Just a thought and I could be wrong so...
Be nice to use that extra savings towards accessories though IMHO
When I first started lookin' I couldn't find one below 730.00 so if I can get one for six I can that custom leather case I want and break even there.

I've got friends who would buy this for me in either India or Australia.
Where would I have either one of them shop in their respective countries to get me one? Is it worth it, plus shipping, or should I just drop $650 on Ebay? I mean, from what I saw the exchange rate, 35,000 Indian Rupees (MSRP) is $660.

Newegg had free 2-day shipping (shoprunner free year trial) and I had a $20 coupon from google.
So, $679 and I'll have it Monday. Plus there is a free charger thingy thrown in, so that's a plus.
I just really hope my unlimited data isn't f-d around with after putting my sim in...

Hi everyone, ill be going to Korea on the 23rd for my Christmas vacation and one of my goals is be able to buy the Galaxy Note at a cheaper price(i thought that since its made in Korea, it should be cheaper). Do anyone of you know the current price of the Galaxy Note there? where can I get it the cheapest in seoul?
Dont know exactly but im pretty sure it not cheaper by any means
Also dont buy one there roms are not compatible
oh really? so I cant flash it to South East Asia Rom?
Not sure about South Korea but I was just in Hong-Kong and at Fortress they are selling them for 5998 HKD and I was also in Bangkok and found that they were cheaper in Bangcock at 22,700 Baht. In Thighland You also get a 7% VAT refund at the airport so it is cheaper in Thailand to but than Hong-Kong. Taiwan's price is currently about 22,700 NTD.
Taiwan and Hong-Kong have both Black and White while Thighland only has Black at the moment (unless you buy one that is being sold on the black market).
Oh, that means, its cheaper here in the philippines. I saw a shop selling Php 28,700.
I want to get before I leave so I can already use it when I travel there!

I like how you originally spelled it correctly and then intentionally put a malicious misspelling afterwards.. LOL
The cheapest offering in our country (PH) is 30k with official Samsung warranty with NTC seal. 26k with just the shop warranty.
Don't buy in Korea, it's like buying stuff in Japan, they have their own hardware configurations there, not just software. HK is the best place to buy gadgets (if you're not so concerned about warranty)
Where did you saw the 26t?
I'm getting mine next week and i bought it from Samsung store in Thailand
I'm From Israel, do you think i will have a problem with the Note?
I dont think that the International Roms will work with the Korean model 100% because of the different cpu and modem

I got mine at the airport so no free battery. The free battery that they give you is not the original one but should be ok. The original battery in Taiwan sells for 1580 NTD at the Samsung store. Not a cheap battery but a must have. I will be buying one. I already bought the external battery charger for around 680 NTD to charge the spare battery. With a spare battery this Note should be good to go

Thanks for any help!
I bought mine on Amazon.com
It's coming from overseas but they have ways of resolving problems and refunding $
I bought mine from Amazon as well...
Just made the purchase today, the Gold model was just too beautiful to resist.
It was almost impossible for me to find the 64 GB version, so I had to settle for the 32 GB.
Not a big deal for me personally, most of the stuff I do now a days is almost always backed up to the cloud.
I've seen them for sale on various sites, eBay, Swappa, expansys-usa, amazon and more...
Prices vary from reasonable to ridiculous, so be mindful of that as well.
I ended up paying $750 with free one day Amazon Prime shipping included.
There are a few on ebay. I ordered mine from Taiwan, shipping was incredibly fast. It got here in 3 days through DHL. Gold color with 64GB
Only $715 64GB

Right before I purchased from Amazon, I did one last run across multiple websites. At the time they didn't have the N920i version in gold/64 GB combo.
So I went ahead with the 32 GB.
For me, it's not a huge deal breaker. I switch phones often. My last 4-5 phones have been 64 GB & 128 GB and I barely fill them up all the way.
So I'm okay with my decision now.
I'll eventually sell this in a few months and purchase something newer.

It's still a beautiful phone, I just fell in love with the gold and silver models when I first saw them and swore I would buy one in gold or silver.
That is a really good deal for $590.
Just wondering if anyone has bought the S10 from eBay and who did you buy from?
Also which version did you buy?
I’ve never bought anything expensive as this from eBay and the discounted prices seem to scare me in regards legitimatcy.

It should concern you. I would suggest a lot of research of the seller, paying with a means that gives you some protection such as PayPal or credit card, the sellers return policy, and more than 1 persons good experience with the seller.
Just ask yourself this:
Is it worth buying the phone at a sketchy price that could possibly end up being a clone or scam one week before legitimate versions are available in stores?

Yep, well established Seller! I think they sold over 2,000 Note 9's....
That isn't a huge discounted price so I would feel better about that seller than one that's cutting a lot of dollars off the price. That's only 60 or 70 dollars off what Amazon sells it for with an included SD card.

I purchased and already received my Galaxy S10e, SM-G970F/DS from the same seller mentioned. Included an SD card was likely a Latin American model or something because it booted up in Spanish. Otherwise, it's been fantastic and I've been using it since yesterday. Located in the US and running smoothly on Mint Mobile. Bought for just shy of $700
My concern is that these devices haven't even been released in the US yet and this seller is selling them for $100 less than the MSRP. Also, the fact they are supposedly an international model, yet are coming with a US power adapter? Lastly, this appears to be the phones everythingapplepro used on YouTube for his drop test and it broke quite easily, faster than most expected with cornings gorilla glass 6. Not saying these phones are not legitimate, but I have a bit of reservation on them being consistent with Samsung's released product due to the above concerns. If they are legitimate, fantastic deal at that rate.

I think this identical phone with a bundled SD card is only 60 or 70 bucks more on Amazon. Of course there won't be a warranty on the international version purchased in the US.

Yeah, I see that on Amazon. However, it is from a 3rd party seller which is consistent with these eBay phones being discussed, not officially sold by Amazon. I am keeping my official Samsung preorder to be sure. I'm a bit curious to see other drop/durability tests and other YouTube reviews once the official retail units ship out next week.
Also, something to note, the 128gb SD cards are also included with these eBay models we are discussing. Comes with an SD card in the box, clear case (which was rumored early on in the leaks) and a US wall charger.

Don't fall for the superficial benchmarks around, we still don't know why people avoid posting battery tests involving the SnapD, also it's permanently bootloader-locked and some updates never get to it.
Anyway don't buy from eBay, Samsung doesn't manage those sales, you get no pre-order bonus, your warranty might be forged and it definitely doesn't look legitimate when some unknown third-party seller puts their hands on pre released devices, selling them for about 10% less than the release price, delivering faster than Samsung itself.
The bonus buds alone are worth more than any eBay deal could save you, and if anything happens with an official pre-order you have legal power, stick to Samsung, Amazon or other officially recognised shops that respect the pre-order plans.

It's now sub 1200 Euros in Germany, if you look around a bit. Nearing 1100 in a few places.
Price has cratered harder and faster than any phone in living memory.
Samsung must be pumping these out of the factory pretty quickly, and not intending for new models to take as long as Fold 1 to Fold 2.
I can see this going below 1000 around Black Friday, and definitely by the New Year. If it's not already replaced by the end of Q1 '21, I'd imagine the phone might see significant development and community involvement, below 1k.
You're insane.

Really, care to explain why? Lowest retail price has dropped over 700 Euros in less than 2 months.
Samsung are well known for front-loading pricing, and quickly tapering it to distributors and wholesalers, but it's never been quite like this. The device is clearly intended to sell in volume, and not be the flagship for anything like as long as the Fold 1.
Re: development, plenty of 800-1200 Euro devices see lots of development.

In the next two days I am going to buy a brand new in box Z Fold2 for €1.000 or less in Germany.
Not from a shop (several are offering them for €1.150 already) granted, but in Germany a lot of Z Fold2 have been included in a subscription renewal package where people just keep their current phone and monetize the Z Fold2.
I see the prices going down almost daily. It's a simple matter of supply and demand.
Check out https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/
The same thing happened with previous Samsung flagships.
LG devices also depreciate very quickly, but that is because noboby wants them and LG has to lower the RRP to sell them.

The €1200 price you mention is a scam. No one is getting the phone for that price.

I know it's probably a foreign concept, but supply chains and retail channels are relatively competitive in Europe .. particularly Germany.
Probably seems unreal to you when informal price fixing in a hugely non-competitive market rules in the US ... and you just got a Verizon Fold 2 for $$$$$$$$$$, with no hope of waiting for discounts.
Why do you think anyone with a clue in the US buys from European retailers? Price including tax in Europe (which you don't pay) is usually much cheaper than price excluding tax at US retailers, save for Apple. That's what no competition does.
And now you're mad and refuse to believe anything.

Those are pretty much all either used or branded / locked to a network.
Show me a link to a commercial seller who sells sim free new sealed box Fold2 including full 2 year official Samsung warranty ... if you can't then just delete this thread
Not true, as I have explained most of them are new in wrapped box with full Samsung European warranty.
And as far as I know no German provider sells these branded and/or SIMlocked.

Lol.
Are you really not able to use price comparison sites or enter search terms and use filters on Ebay?
Rhetorical question. Evidently not.

I don't think any contract phones have been branded / locked for 5-6 years in DE ... and he appears to be implying these are secondhand contract phones. I'm not even sure heavily subsidised pay as you go phones are branded anymore.
Lowest retail price for sealed NIB Fold 2 in DE is 1149.99 today. It has been lower. Trend is still downwards quickly though.
I bought one of these z fold 2 of Germany.
1215€ and came sealed... I activated Samsung care+
I dont know the reason of the low prize of those phones, but are real and legal.

I bought this Fold 2 for one month ago too in Germany ebay kleinanzeigen 1350 Euro) . some people buy buissness phone cards with a fold 2 and they sell the fold 2 and use the phone card.
Now it is sometimes a little bit cheaper but ok .... I use it for over a month now and I love this phone ! So great stuff Samsung did here ...
You can buy these used for around $1400 US off of Ebay (which is around 1250 Euro, which is what I see it for on the German eBay site). Hoping for a slight bit more of a price drop from Black Friday, but I noticed that Samsung is still selling it for its original price, and they've dropped the price of trade ins by around $200.
I don't know why anyone would have paid full price in the US as it was on sale the opening day at every possible outlet and you would have had to literally give them more money than they were asking for the device in order to pay MSRP; I paid 1600 directly from Samsung's site on pre-order for the unlocked variant and others did better. Day one the latest greatest is always going to be more expensive than it will be just a short time later; you all know that, I'm not telling you something you didn't know. You do need to put it on a level playing field though, you can't compare the MSRP here to the actual price somewhere else at a different time, you have to compare actual price at the same specific time in order to get a valid comparison.

I'm looking to buy it again, and I'm not seeing all these great deals. Samsung's site is $1999, unless you trade in a device. The deals on eBay are ok for a used device, but not great. Amazon has some refurbs for $300 off, which is ok, but again, it's a refurb, to which they only promise that you won't notice a problem "holding it at arm's length". I haven't seen any sign of a new unit coming down in price from $2k.

Be very wary of purchasing a phone tied to a network contract.
These phones may get blacklisted a few months down the line if the original owner doesn't pay the bill, or if they have insurance and claim a month or two later that it has been lost or stolen.
... I know this from experience ... you could end up with a 1000 euro "tablet" that cannot use a sim card anywhere in EU

It's good advice, and I am worried about it. I see a number of devices for sale that say they're on a contract. Kind of terrifying that someone decides to switch providers and suddenly my phone is blacklisted.
Starting to hope for a Black Friday sale!
