I am not sure what's happening to my phone. I have the Google Nexus One. I'm running the CyanogenMod7.2.0 RC0, before i was running the CyanogenMod7.1.0 and before that Miuiandroid.
It was working perfectly and until a couple of days ago the camera and flash light stop working No matter what ROM i install it doesn't fix the issue.
1. When i select the Camera i am getting this error "Sorry! Activity Camera (in application Camera) is not responding."
2. When i select the Torch/Flash light it says its on but "No light".
3. With CyanogenMod the screen goes blank after a phone call :/.
I try so many different things and nothing seems to work. I wipe
Also when i flash Miuiandroid my phone keeps rebooting so i have to flash the CyanogenMod7, either way nothing fixed the problems.
Any ideas what could have cause these issues?
Okay, I did a ton of research on this, but when I flashed the ROM, I ended up with some major problems. I hope someone can help. Here's the deal:
Started with the stock ROM (Gingerbread 2.3.6), no overclocking
Backed up apps & data with Titanium Backup
Backed up contents of both internal and external SD card to my PC
Backed up phone to external SD card using CWM 6.0.1.2
Performed ROMwipe
Flashed odexed build, CM10_LINARO_20130118_ODEX_IRX120
Flashed DemonsBlood v8
Flashed Gapps
Rebooted
Now, the new ROM was working, but I started having trouble navigating and certain apps would force close, or I'd get messages that certain things had stopped working. Also, I could not figure out how to set up my home screens and wallpapers and settings and such the way I wanted. So I decided to go back to my stock ROM. But when I flashed my backup, the phone now acts as if it's been factory reset (although I can still boot back into CWM recovery). Also, when I download Titanium Backup, Facebook, and other apps, they force close upon launch.
I have wiped the ROM, fixed permissions, and tried again, with no success. I've copied the files I backed up to my PC back to the phone, but no joy there, either.
Ideally, I'd love to get my phone back to where it was before I attempted this - or, as a second choice, go forward and use the new ROM & Kernel, because I was pretty excited about trying it out. But I feel like I've lost a ton and now it's not working properly at all.
Can someone help me restore this? And tell me where I went wrong?
UPDATE: In CWM Recovery, I selected flash image from external SD card and selected CM10_LINARO_20130118_ODEX_IRX120, then rebooted. Now it gets stuck at the boot screen (Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G, Exclusively from T-Mobile). I tried booting into recovery, but no luck - same result, stuck at the boot screen. So I booted into HBOOT (vol down + power), got a warning about a custom ROM with a choice to reboot or proceed. Since I figured rebooting would just put me back at the boot screen, I chose to proceed. It is now showing the following:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-T679
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: NO
CURRENT KERNEL: SAMSUNG !!
Then there's the android icon and underneath it says:
Downloading...
Do not turn off target!!
Sigh. Help.
Okay, I got out of ODIN mode and managed to reboot into CWM recovery. Progress! I wiped the ROM, flashed CM10_LINARO_20130118_ODEX_IRX120, SpeedyGonzalez_OC_1.5.5, and Gapps, and rebooted.
So now I'm running CM10 Linaro, Odexed, with SGK. Okay. **deep breath** The first thing I see after the boot screen is "Welcome, choose your language" and then "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped."
OK.
Signing in with Gmail . . . (screen does not auto-rotate at this point)
Contacting Google, then again "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped."
Completed setup, then again "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped."
Going to Play Store to get Titanium Backup. And a few more apps.
Auto-rotate now works.
Into Titanium Backup and I get this warning: "This device's Android ID has changed. This normally happens after a device replacement or factory reset. The Android ID is the most common way for apps to identify the device. Any app that relies on it for security/licensing purposes may stop working (or need to be reconfigured) unless you restore the previous Android ID now." with a choice: Keep the new one, or restore the old one (I only have the free version, so this choice is not available).
Should I get my apps back from Play Store or Titanium Backup or both? (I now know to restore the "app only" from Titanium Backup.)
I'm going to keep plugging away at this. Any suggestions for my next steps?

i would suggest using TWRP recovery, backing up your internal, wipe cache 2x , wipe dalvik 2x , factory reset 2x, wipe rom 2x, and wipe internal 2x. then flash rom and gapps
I have ViperOne 4.2 rom installed with latest fw, radio and Elemental X kernel 10.10.1. I have this setup now for about 2 weeks or so and have not changed anything on my phone drastically or have installed any new software etc.
Today all of a sudden my phone rebooted and once it did i am greeted with the message that Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped. When i click ok the UI seems to reboot itself quickly but then i get the same error message again and again after repeating these steps.
I have restarted my phone several times, even booted into safe mode only yet the same error keeps comming up again and again.
Can anybody advise what the problem could be or what to do to make it stop?
Worst case scenario i can restore from a Nandroid backup but i would prefer not atm as i'd rather know what is causing this problem.
Any help would be appriciated!
Great. I tried to delete the cache in recovery just as a try. When i rebooted i was greeted by stockish type of welcome screen with setup your phone info. So i went back to recovery to try restore the nandroid backup which is on my phone. After some time TWRP sais "Restore failed".... never had that before either.... wonderfull...
So this day just keeps getting weirder and weirder. While trying to somehow restore my nandroid (which still does not work btw) when i go to power off my phone via TWRP it sais no SU is installed and it seems i do not have root permissions.
Which is very odd because i am S-OFF, SuperCID for quite some time now....
What the hell is going on today? Meh...
I had the FC in com.android.systemui too, but so far i did`t have the issue with restoring. Would be also thankful for further advise...
Anybody an Idea?

if you're using a custom rom try a 'dirty' flash (flash without wiping). That fixes most of these types of FCs without losing any data.
I am using the Viper 4.3 ROM, was choosing to NOT install some of the Apps that would be included on a regular install - maybe this causes the FC. I try without removing these applications. Thanks for your advise! :good:
Hello All,
This is the second time this is happening to me since the latest update, I do not know what is triggering it but the screen goes black and the "System UI has stopped" keeps popping up and even if i close it nothing happens. I cannot access anything in the phone not even reboot menu I have to force restart it everytime. Laste time i ended up formatting the phone which worked but I lost all my data. Please suggest what to do.
edit - I have also booted it in safe mode and the same error pops up.
EDIT - SOLVED - This page helped a lot (https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/737y3j/helpfix_substratum_system_ui_has_stopped_issue/) The bixby method or the samsung find my phone method works.
Same here
Damn it, what samsung it doing!!!!!!!!
I'm running CM12.1 on an international M7. It's been running fine for two years, but about six months ago it crashed and got stuck in a boot loop. Wiping the cache alone didn't help because it got stuck in an "optimizing app" boot loop, so I wiped data too to make it boot again.
Since then it has been difficult to install new apps from the play store. Sometimes it will reboot after installation of a new app. If that happens then then starting newly installed app will cause an immediate reboot again. After this happens, restarting will also give me a number of "Trebuchet stopped" messages. If I'm unlucky, then it will reboot into a boot loop again after installation and I'm back where I started.
Since the rebooting occurs with different apps and always happens first after the installation, I suspect the data gets corrupted. Which may mean the flash is defective.
Is there a way to properly diagnose this? And if it is a flash storage problem, is that even fixable?
Did a full reformat of everything and reinstalled it with Resurrection Remix. So far I have not had any problems.
