I recently read on Android police's web page that pretty soon the galaxy nexus will have flashable images available of the Ubuntu mobile Os and I was wondering if a port would be possible on our humble I9000 in time

The Ubuntu installers on Google Play Store installs full Ubuntu desktop, not optimized for phones. I think that @kevtrysmoddin asked about this http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone

Well in that case...
Ubuntu just released their mobile version, and xda is porting/optimizing it for the Galaxy Nexus, and seeing as it's almost the exact same phone it won't be long after that before it's available for us

I just recently rooted my nexus 7, and now using codecfireX ROM, does anyone else using this ROM? If yes how was it?
I preciously used paranoid android ROM but the systemUI keeps crashing on me.
