Hello,
I've started to reuse my galaxy tab in hope to lighten the usage of my phone. It's been a long long time since I last used it myself, I've restocked it and now have CWM installed. Currently on a CM11 nightly but bluetooth tethering doesn't work. The phone and tablet pairs, and the tab even shows on connected devices on my phone, there just doesn't seem to be any data transferring.
I had omni nightly installed too and bluetooth tethering also doesn't work. So is this a global KK problem? Would that mean i need to roll back to say, Jellybean?
Thanks.

Ever since I rooted my phone and unlocked my bootloader I have had no service. I flashed PAC rom and Meow kernel, both of which make no difference. I have also tried other roms such as chameleonos and Revolt JB, all with the same problem. When I search for a network it occasionally detects some but never EE (which I'm on). I have got connection twice in the past two weeks, and would really appreciate if I could have some help in restoring my device back to its previous position as a phone rather than a mini tablet.
WiFi works perfectly.
Thankyou,
Finn Duggan
Hello guys
Recently I noticed WiFi disconnects when turning Bluetooth on. Whn I opened the WiFi menu all acces points were not available. But when Bluetooth is off there is no problem. Any solutions?
I have the same problem. I'm running CM11 M11 but had the issue also with M10. It is really annoying since I also have a Sony SmartBand and therefore i can't use wifi at all.

same problem here. Seems that bluetooth low enegy device and wifi does not work well together.
I have a xiaomi mi band and it kills wifi as soon as I connect it. The only way around is to disable sync and manually sync. After sync you can go to bluetooth settings and search for devices. After that wifi connects normally until I sync the band to the phone again.
I tried the fix described by @MrSteve555 in the FXP CM11 development thread but it did not help, the issue still remains.

Same thing here. I'm running CM11 M11, Williams v4. A bit annoying if you rely on Bluetooth for the SmartBand. I've taken to having BT on all the time when I'm not at home (not using WiFi) and switching to WiFi with only occasionally turning on BT when I'm home. Not really a solution, but as a workaround it's okay.
I really hope someone can work this out. I think I will just create a tasker profile or something. But then again, not an elegant solution.
I have the same problem, I have it on stock 4.3 rom and now i just installed CM11 and there is still problem. Anyone found a solution? Do I really need to go back to android 4.1 to fix this?

Well I suggest flashing the stock ROM again on your phone. That may solve the problem..
Hey guys! I have only just joined XDA Developers so please excuse me if I have posted this thread in the wrong area. I have a Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) running stock Jellybean firmware (4.1.2 ITV) but as you all know the stock firmware for this device is full of bugs and freezes often. I successfully rooted my device and installed Team Canjica's CM10.2 ROM (4.3) from the thread on XDA Developers but the WiFi wasn't working. I then installed Maclaw's CM11 ROM (KitKat) because I thought that might solve the issue but it didn't. Here are the details:
Device scans for nearby wireless routers.
I type in the password for my home router.
Device saves router. "Saved, Secured" message displayed.
I tap on my home router in the list to connect.
Device says "Connecting" for a couple of seconds and then goes back to saying "Saved, Secured".
I browsed through the forums and some users suggested switching WiFi Frequency to Auto and turning off WiFi Optimisation but neither of those methods worked for me. The ROM was installed successfully and all other features are working properly so I don't think that is the issue. And my router settings are also alright since I am able to connect to it from my Nexus 7 (2013) properly. Can someone please provide me with a working solution for this issue? I will start receiving very high data usage bills soon because my data plan isn't unlimited. Thank you!
Is your ssid hidden (not broadcasted) by any chance? i had those troubles on hidden home network. Sometimes it worked after a while, sometimes it didn't. What helped me is to broadcast ssid for a moment, get connected with phone, remove broadcast (it will reboot router so phone will lose wifi for a moment). Then somehow it got connected normally
Sent from my SGS Adv. using xda-developers app.

I just checked my router settings and SSID Broadcast is enabled. I tried flashing OmniRom 4.3 thinking that this may be because of a problem with CyanogenMod but the problem still persists. Is there any additional kernel that I was supposed to install perhaps?
CyanogenMod 11 version ?

Just a detail to those who have not upgraded to JB stock and think it is impossible to use it without problems:
All bugs and freezes in Stock JB currently are perfectly finished.
I use STOCK, only with modified kernel (cocore 8.2) without freezes or bugs in months of use.
Enjoy the developer's work (cocafe), because without it JB probably would be impossible in SGA. However we have JB 100% functional and bug-free.
About KK and WIFI bugs:
The only KK (or based) ROM that used without WIFI bugs was RR 20140313.
In fact, the only issue is incall vol. in my experience.
WiFi Direct, Camera -> Panorama is laggy , Screen Recorder not working Not Tested
I also noticed that the battery is worse durability.
But I went back to JB Stock -- personal preference.

Actually I did try that method. Flashed Samsung's latest stock firmware I9070XXLQL (ITV) and then rooted and installed CoCore. To be honest overall performance was much better and UI smoothness was improved. But after a couple of days of regular usage with just a few basic applications such as a note taker, train arrival time, WhatsApp etc. the device started freezing up a couple of times a day again. I admit it worked much better than before but freezes and hangs were still quite frequent. Running OmniROM 4.3 now with no issues so far except for dialer FC, laggy panorama and non functional WiFi hotspot.

WIFI not working with cm-11-20140521-UNOFFICIAL-janice and cm11.0_janice.nova.201406
Same wifi problem with cm-11-20140521-UNOFFICIAL-janice and cm11.0_janice.nova.20140601. Wifi not connecting even after giving the right password (used to work correctly with jb4.1.2 and still works with desktop) only showing saving and connecting wifi. Then the wifi connection is shown to be saved. If wifi does not work with cyanogenmod11, then what's the use of upgrading?
Is wifi is not working in any custom kitkat Rom?
Please suggest a solution.
Try couple times to connect. I remember sometimes I had to reconnect 2-3 times before it gets connection. And the problem with kernel was about WIFI not turning on at all, it was not even search SSIDs.
Hello,
I cant find a answer to my problem. I have been searching and trying to fix it for days. So I got 2 HP TouchPads as a gift. I was able to install CM11 with toolbox on one HP. No issues at all with that one. Then I installed CM11 with toolbox on second one. The only issue I have is the WiFi will not turn on. When the ROM starts I hit English and then it will go to the WiFi screen. At that screen it will say "WiFi turning on". It will stay like that forever and never change. When I decide to skip the setup and turn the WiFi on with the toggle switch it does nothing. The switch will not move. I have tried CM11, Pacman kikat 4.4.4 and Evervolv 5.0.0. WiFi will not turn on will any ROM. When I go back to Webos with toolbox WiFi will work every time. Does any one know how to fix this?
ok so since no one knows that answer. Is it possible to take a backup from the good touchpad and restore it on the bad touchpad. Does anyone think that will work? If it is possible how would I go about doing that. I'm using toolbox and cwm recovery.
Just to eliminate CM configuration as an issue, have you tried using the WIFI in WebOS? I've had problems with my corp WIFI on my Touchpad on and off for a long time. Trying a different OS might eliminate or suggest a hardware related probem.

wifi will work just fine in webos.
hi every body .. i have a problem in my s4 active i9295 .. the WiFi and hotspot and the Bluetooth dos't work .. any one can help??
same problem here.
I cannot active the Wifi nore the Blutooth.
I have swapped the main board with a second "Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active" and the problem staid with the main bord.
I was think of replace the stock ROM with a custom one to se if it a bug within the stock ROM.
Any suggestion?
Just replaced the Stock ROM with CM ROM.
As expected, it did not make an difference.
The OS is trying to enable the WIFI (or bluetooth) for a few seconds and fails.
There moments (both with the custom and CM ROM) when the WIFI and bluetooth did activate but this was short lived.
I am almost convinced that it is a hardware problem.
Any suggestion and advice is appreciated.
