"C6903_14.1.G.1.534_NUT.ftf" I hope? You can't downgrade using a flashable zip, you have to do it using an .ftf file.

Then its gone forever.
There is no need to unlock anyway if all you want is recovery.
But now you have unlocked you may as well just flash XZDR kernel and then flash SuperSU then the rom of your choice.

Why you wanna downgrade?
Anyway, before any downgrade process, be sure to wipe all data.
If you don't wipe data you will have problems with nfc firmware causing in a bootloop

No need to do any of that if your boot loader is unlocked. Just flash a custom kernel.

For downgrading firmware version? That's not really a good choice, flashing with a tft file is clearly better, flashing a custom kernel can hard brick your phone, avoid your warranty and can't be restored with SUS and PCC...

No, he asked how to root. If he has already unlocked the bootloader then the simplest way to root is flash a custom kernel. Warranty is already broken and what is the point in unlocking the bootloader unless you are going to flash a custom kernel anyway

Yeah but flashing a custom kernel is not necessary for having root on the latest firmware.

No its not, but its the easiest way to get root if you have already unlocked.
And please tell me the point of unlocking if you are not going to flash a custom kernel.
Its harmless as long as you flash the correct kernel. It carries the same risk as flashing anything.

You have downgraded in order to root then to do an OTA upgrade back to .257 if I am right.
In which case, do not worry that the camera does not work in .534, just root it, and upgrade OTA.
Then try the camera.
EDIT
Also you need to clear the data in all camera related apps

Like I told you already, there is not a direct root for your .290 FTF, but a method which will give you a full root on .290.
You have to follow this 2 guide to root your .290 phone.

or
2- The best way is here on this link, Page 2, Post #16 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588331&page=2
any problem, you have to ask on the right thread or to the OP. I can't help you more because I don't have my phone at the moment.

You don't have to unlock your bootloader to root your phone. You will lose your warranty. At the moment you can't root directly the .290 with Vroot or 360 Apps.
To root your .290 phone you have to follow the instructions carefully form the link I give you.
If you decide that you WANT to Unlock your Bootloader. I have found a real easy way to go through the process of unlocking and then rooting straight after.
Give me a message if interested.
I too spent days/weeks following tutorials and could not get my head around it(Especially unlocking bootloader). in the end i found my own way...
