ok...random as this is...but if you really wish to go back...then here goes.
you require the htc drivers installed from htc sync.
the ruu you require is whatever u want...its advisable to reinstall the original from your area though...but your choice.
this wipes everything.....recovery, root everything....
ok have the ruu on your pc.
connect pc to phone
have phone in bootloader (possible fastboot usb)
phone may reboot itself into which ever mode it wants but its random as ive seen....i had it ready in bootloader and it worked
double click on ruu and follow instructions.
now it will or should install in around 10-15mins. if by chance you get installation error, follow the recovery part and redo the ruu again straight away....after a few attempts it will install.
what effect this will have on your updates to bootloader or hboot etc is unknown...as i haven't reverted to stock since unlocking bootloader...
Can i use this on the Salsa?? I think i got it from the galaxy nexus section..but will it work properly?

Remember to tell him/her to remove IMEI and serialno from the post, and copy/paste is preferred rather than screenshot

Thanks nkk71 for the reminder!
OP. Can you please remove the attachment, it has your IMEI# listed.
There is NO RUU available, only GuruReset. http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/ Which you can flash using a custom recovery.

sorry, didnt see any picture, can you show again, also please post a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n before posting).
and what do you want to achieve: custom ROM, stock ROM, rooted, not rooted? or are you sending it in for warranty and need to go back to stock?

bootloader unlocked?
and you have custom recovery (CWM or TWRP), then you can pretty much flash any ROM you like.
If you just want to go back to stock (with or without root), then you can use this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
select WIPE, select "stock recovery", ROOT and radio up to you
--> you'll receive future OTAs just fine, even with unlocked bootloader

1- OTA = Over The Air upgrade (when HTC releases a new update)
2- "relocked" bootloader is NOT ok: you will need to get a new unlocktocken from HTCdev, and unlock your phone
3- do you need to remove tampered or you dont care?
Basically, my question is, are you selling it or sending it back to warranty and need to have it look completely "out of the box", or are you keeping it and just want it working?

So what's your status?
and BTW: if "then im going to sell to someone", then you have two choices:
1- either inform the person who is about to buy it on the status of the device
or
2- you should be set things back to 100% stock; you can follow my guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082

adb works just fine in custom recovery (TWRP or CWM), you can sideload a ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317986
get one close to your firmware. can you copy/paste a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n), and we can take it from there...

to get adb working in the first place dont you need to be able to usb debug it? in the process for adb to work? even the sideload as i was trying that earlier or maybe i did it wrong?
also my internal storage doesnt come up when i connect my usb to computer why is that? and will it affect custom rom? or stock rom even?

"internal storage doesnt come up when i connect my usb to computer why is that" -> cause you don't have a ROM?
USB Debugging is needed in a functioning ROM, not recovery. adb will work fine in recovery with or without any ROM.
so maybe, first thing to do is S-Off, you're on 3.62.401.1, so download and install: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
EDIT: use adb push or sideload to get it on your phone
flashable through custom recovery (TWRP or CWM), just like any custom ROM
select WIPE, select ROOT, unselect "stock recovery"
then use rumrunner to get S-Off.

1- are you in custom recovery? adb will only work in custom recovery, or functioning ROM (with USB debugging enabled)
2- if ^^^ yes, then u have to update/fix drivers, you on Win7 or 8 or 8.1, many reported issues with 8 and especially 8.1, can u use a Win7 pc?
in short, I have a playstore M7_UL that just won't switch to LTE after flashing a couple of lolipop based roms, I already tried messing around with the APN settings. stock roms such as this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499452) will work properly with every single feature the phone should have if it was originally from T-Mobile, however I would Ideally like to update my phone to 12.
do you have any suggestions for this problem? or am I stuck with this 4.3 rom? I would like to thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and I wait eagerly for your response.
BNMotive said:
I've tried updating to several Lolipop roms, flashed 2 different radios as well as double checked APN settings and confirmed that my Sim card does support LTE however no luck, I've been having the issue of not being able to retain LTE support. only rom that worked completely was this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499452 the help would be greatly appreciated to resolve this nightmare.
my carrier is T-Mobile.

That is a very old ROM, have you updated your system to the latest Sense 6 firmware? If not, then you might want to run the latest TMOUS RUU. When completed, check to see if you have LTE. My guess you will, then if you want you can try one of the Lollipop ROM.

I tried flashing it through my PC but I get this "Error [170] USB connection error" I read briefly over the code and there are some mentions of re-locking my phone, before I get deeper into this, do you have any suggestions for flashing the right RUU?
I really appreciate the help

Yes, if you are S-ON you need to re-lock your bootloader. You can use this command in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Your bootloader should say Relocked, leave the phone connected to the computer then run the RUU.
Utterly Clueless

Finding the "right" RUU was difficult but I got it "working" I flashed RUU: "RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_TMOUS_1.27.531.11_Radio_4A.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04_release_324846_signed" that had 4G, then I unlocked and rooted once more, unfortunately I am currently still stuck with CM12 in 3g/h+, so am I missing something? I thought that by flashing a stock Sense RUU and then updating to CM12 that would help me get what I needed for 4G, any advice is greatly appreciated.

I think you have a gross firmware - ROM mismatch. You are running version 1.XX firmware with a version 6.XX or 7.XX rom. You need to update your phone to at least version 6.XX and then see if CM12 will give you 4G. If you still have troubles with it in CM12 but not in the stock then it is CM12 that is the issue! These need to be done in order so that you don't brick your phone!!!
RUU 3.24.531.3
RUU 4.19.531.10
RUU 5.14.531.1
RUU 6.10.531.10

if you have a read through the CM12 thread or use the search feature within the thread itself, you will find that 4G / LTE is currently a problem for most users and in all not working, seem's to be a problem with 11 and 12 at the moment.

as you are s-on you will need to do the updates in order, therefore your next one you'll need will either be a 1.28.531.xx or 1.29.531.xx or even 2.24.531.xx, you need to do them in the correct order otherwise you'll just keep erroring out, easier to just s-off on your current firmware.
you cant jump from 1xxxxxx to 3xxxxxxx
Windows 8.1 proved to be a very bad choice to begin flashing old RUUs. USB drivers went rogue on me, so I decided to switch to an old beat up windows 7 system. worked like a charm, I was able to flash 1.2 and 3.2 things were looking up till tried 4.2, both windows 8.1 and 7 killed the installer, 7 says it is a USB error [171] while 8.1 says it is the wrong RUU. apparently I am not the only one with this issue, I'll see what I can find. I feel that thanks to your help guys I am getting real close, I can almost smell the sweet scent of fresh 4G lolipop brewing.

Error 171 is a connection error, meaning the RUU can't connect to/find your phone, recheck your drivers with the phone booted and plugged into the computer and also recheck your drivers with the phone in the bootloader and plugged into your PC, I think you might find when its in the bootloader you have "One" with a yellow exclamation mark in device manager, you will have to manually force the driver, right click and select update driver, you the manual installation instructions, don't let windows search anything itself, it will fail.
have you also tried to just run the updates from your phone, ie settings - about - software updates ?

after the first comment in this post yeah, I had installed a very early TMOUS RUU, from there it asked to be updated to Sense 6.0, I let it update and from there I flashed CM12 and I had no 4G. would something different happen if i try this again now that I flashed 1.2 and 3.2?
more info though, both computers do "update" the phone but get interrupted. regarding the "wrong" RUU error message from windows 8.1, it says "ERROR[158]: Image Error"

I haven't been able to find any compatible nandroid backups. I think maybe im just in over my head and I don't want to mess anything up....can anyone point me in the right direction?

Yes it will wipe your phone just like it came from the factory, so backup anything important to your PC.
Yes there a HK RUU's and non HK RUU's in the thread I linked.
You can download the RUU directly from HTC:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8-harman-kardon-edition-sprint/news/
It is located at the bottom of the page. But you might want to wait a few days and download the Lollipop RUU when it releases. It will replace the current KK version once approved and FOTA is pushed out.

Here are some things to try.
Did you re-lock your bootloader?
Try a different USB port (USB2 work best)
Try a different PC.
To get back to bootloader press power vol up until the screen turns black then hold vol down.
If you know how to use adb/fastboot commands you can open a cmd and type
fastboot reboot-bootloader

I did not re lock my bootloader. I tried a different usb port, with no luck. I don't have another PC to try it with. What should I do to at least get my phone working in the meantime? even if it isn't stock? Can I just flash a rom through recovery?

If you are s-on you have to re-lock the bootloader for it to work.
You should be able to flash a rom thru recovery.

Glad I could help
I have been running this rom for quite some time and I wanted to know the procedures while being s on to upgrade the entire phone. I'm also enclosing a screenshot of my current firmware and ROM. Any help would be greatly appreciated I haven't done this since I first got my m8
Download the most recent RUU from the thread linked below to your computer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
Make sure your phone has a full charge. Reboot your device to the bootloader and connect your phone and computer via USB cable. Select the fastboot option from the menu and you should show that you're connected via fastboot USB mode. Open up a command window with ADB and type the command "fastboot oem lock". Press enter. This command will re-lock your boot loader. Now, double-click the RUU file you downloaded to start the installer. Be patient, as it may take a few minutes for the installer to start. Once it starts, follow the prompts on your computer screen. Once the RUU completes you can disconnect your phone from your computer and reboot your phone. The RUU will wipe the internal storage on your phone, so make a back-up and store it on your computer or your external SD card, if applicable.
Can i unlock the bootloader again after doing all this by typing fastboot oem unlock in adb?
I just wanna make sure I update everything correctly and get set up for a new Rom. I'm not getting all my calls or texts. So I am guessing the radio is too outdated
Is there a way to just get an image that will bring my phone back to stock so I can upgrade everything all at once

Alright and that won't screw up the recovery I have installed correct so I can just flash a new rom even with a locked bootloader or do I have to go through all the stupid steps to unlock it again

The stock recovery will be installed. Additionally, you'll need to use HTC Dev to unlock your phone again. That's the best way to update being S-on.
So there's no way to just update the firmware and radio without having to go through the rest of that?
Actually I just looked up how to get s off on my phone I'm going to use the fire water tool and then I'll use that link to get the firmware and flash that with the fuu

Without being S-off, no.

Firewater has been discontinued. You have to use the Sunshine exploit for S-off.
Got a link?

Sunshine
Sloth you deserve some Rocky road buddy
And this is what I get. I suppose nothing is simple. I got no clue what is wrong.
Kernel info
Flash a stock rooted ROM from the RUU thread I mentioned previously, then try it again.
I locked boot. Ran a ruu from boot and destroyed my os and it took me all night to recover. Can you please show me how to restore to stock? I'm kinda over it
Now that you've run the RUU, go ahead and run the Sunshine exploit. Afterwards you can go about installing recovery and flashing a new ROM, if you'd like.
Not paying 25 bucks. I'm just wanting stock. My phone got too close to getting the hammer. I'm just gonna go stock. Don't know how
