Do you have an APN configured? If not, you'll need to add one. I had the same problem myself after flashing a rom last night. I just manually added the APN and off I went.
You can find it under Settings->Wireless and Network->Mobile Network Settings->Access Point Names.
This is the Telus APN from what I can see (on Rogers myself so can't confirm):
Name: TELUS SP
APN: sp.telus.com
Proxy: 74.49.0.18
Port: 80
Username: <Not set>
Password: <Not set
Server: <Not set>
MMSC: aliasredirect.net/proxy/mmsc
MMS Proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS Port: 80
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
APN type: default,mms
you'll need to pre-pend h t t p : / / (no spaces) to the MMSC setting. The forum wouldn't let me post an outside URL

No worries. Glad it worked out

APN settings for Straight talk

Hi,
Has anyone tried to activate data using straight talk? I cannot get to connect to the APN with all the available options on the web. If anyone has gotten a working APN setting using this phone model and straight talk please do let me know with the ROM, Radio and the settings that you are using. I am using cyan vivo 10.1, 19M as well as 24M radio without any success. Thanks for any help in advance. I can get voice and sms with the straight talk service though. Only the data plan does not work.
OK, finally figured this one out after a couple of days of hard work. I had to install the Stock ICS ROM 3.6 WWE and use the built in APN configuration for Tracfone. This configuration made it work for straight talk without any modifications. Both data and mms configurations worked. So I noted them down and flashed cyan vivo 10.1 and yay now both data and mms work. But not sure if these are intermittent but have been using for about an hour without any issues. Below are the settings that I used for the JB ROM. You can combine both of them into one, But just to be clear I have these two separately.

[Resolved] Any mms changes between firmware C6903 14.1.G.2.257 and 14.2.A.0.290?

Any mms changes between firmware C6903 14.1.G.2.257 (Android 4.2) and 14.2.A.0.290 (Android 4.3) when mobile data disabled ?
On APN settings like EXAMPLE A,
EXAMPLE A

it was able to send/recieve MMS messanges even when mobile data is disabled before 14.1.G.2.257 (Android 4.2).
But it came to be unable to send/recieve any MMS messaages on this APN settings after 14.2.A.0.290 (Android 4.3), when mobile data is disabled.
It is also strange that MMS can be sent/recieved when Wi-Fi is enabled and mobile data is disabled on EXAMPLE A apn settings on 14.2.A.0.290 or later.
It APN setting is like EXAMPLE B, we can say "MMS is unavailable without mobile data enabled" so easily. But I was at least able to use MMS without mobild data enabled until 14.1.G.2.257 (Android 4.2).
What kind of change happened between Android 4.2 and 4.3?
I would like to know your case. Thank you for your answer in advance.
This issue is also deeply related to my Mms.apk and this thread.
Are there any one who are facing same issue?

In Europe SMS and MMS are only received/sent on 2G, 3G, 4G connections of Telecom providers.
EDIT
Check your Messenger setting. Under Advanced your phone number.
In settings - more - Accesspoint names - <possible T-mobileMMS> : username, password - MMS proxy/port

You will want to cut the MMSC from the T-Mobile MMS APN and paste it into this one. Also Add mms to the APN type, it should read "default, supl, mms"
Save the APN settings you just changed, and delete the T-Mobile MMS APN.
