honestly it's a lot faster than any other ROM I've tried
aside from UI changes and compatibility issues
I don't see why you would need to upgrade to Kitkat

I don't know what is wrong with our device... Sense ROMs are always heavier than AOSP or CM ROMs, but they always function better. Tean Venom's ViperVIVO is the heaviest Sense 4.1 ROM, but it functions better than 4.1 or 4.2 or 4.3 or even 4.4 ROMs. The reason why I asked @szezso to debug the Sense 5 ROM was exactly because of this. Sense functions the best.
Beside that, AOSP ROMs don't have a damn thing. All they have is the "Quiet Hours" option. Nothing more for real. We might like it or we might not, but the truth is, we have just kept our device still updated. There is a reason why HTC didn't upgrade our phone to a Sense 4+ ROM. The device just can't handle it even for 90%.
Final words: We need a Sense ROM. Probably the Sense 5 if the Devs can make it work. Minor bugs are toleratable, but main bugs are not going to work out for us... The device already lacks hardware issues. If the software isn't going to be bugless, then the best way is going straight to the rubbish bin and then buy a new phone. I've decided to keep the device for one more year and the get rid of it. I haven't decided what to buy, but I know this phone is no longer even a 5/10 (Except the camera. I haven't seen such an 8 MP camera until today. It was produced 3 years ago, but still it works as a charm.) :fingers-crossed:

Notes:
if something is greyed out in tweaks, its either not available yet, or not meant for sense4a (tweaks ported from one x full sense 4)
to access quick settings, tap the pulldown carrier text
if auto brightness is on, slide status bar doesnt work
trace kb is off by default, turn on in settings->Language & KB->HTC Sense Input->Trace KB (trace color can be changed in Advanced Settings from that menu)
hot reboot is busted atm (will just bootloop) kind of given up on fixing it currently cuz so few people use it
like most Sense4a roms, signal bars work but arent entirely accurate (reads max of 4, usually reads empty)
weird quirk with aosp lock atm...only use clock in regular position otherwise you ll end up with dual status bar clocks when using center clock
weak or no haptic feedback (working on it, but may not be able to fix w/o kernel source)
native wifi tether does not work, barnacle from market has been reporting as working (will fail the first connection, restart to connect)

Notes:
this is *not* a one x rom, but rather modded ukb v to set system definitions to that of full sense4 and using resized lockscreens from the one x and other apks where possible...i do not think resizing a one s rom is a better approach than this and frankly if someone tells you otherwise? well good for them The major differences in features/function is controlled by one single string in one jar. Why add more improperly sized apks/files if you don't need to?
some sizing/layouts are off (recent apps) due to no full sense 4 phones being wvga...to an extent this can be changed, but since we dont (nor will we ever apparently) have m10 tools for sense4 I cannot change the definitions in fusion that override some settings...for example recents is defined as "qHD" and cannot be changed w/o being able to mod it in fusion i dont think...so, yeah
the rom is nearly 50% bigger in size (450 mbs vs 300 mb) because I needed to use *duplicate* widgets/apps in many cases...for example i needed to have 2 different clock widget apks; one for the lockscreen as it uses the full sense4 widgets, and one for the one v rosie since it will not recognize the one x clock widget
please don't view ukb x as a replacement for ukb v, they will remain separate and distinct (as possible) from each other :fingers-crossed:

FAQ
Q: When will (insert issue here) get fixed??????????????
A: It ll get fixed....when it gets fixed
(if it can be fixed that is of course)
Click to collapse
Q: Can I use your rom as a base for mine, or take fixes from it?
A: While I cannot exactly stop you from taking things from my rom, I would appreciate that you link back to this thread if you do so. Primarily because I credit numerous people, and I feel its appropriate that at least a link back here so those credits can be seen is shown. As for using the entire rom? I would appreciate if you didn't. Tweaks cannot be taken/ported without permission from j4n87. Kernels are from HTC, not me...but I did put work into fixing the ramdisk up, so credit is required if you are taking the one from me

Q: In the op it says "xyz" is fixed but its broken/not working for me?!
A: Occasionally when fixing one thing, I break something else...just report it to me and I'll fix it back

Q: I made a request for a bug to be fixed or a feature to be implemented 2 weeks ago and its not done yet...what gives?
A: While I appreciate being anxious for something, I do not do this as a full time job (obviously) and have varying amounts of time to put into android stuff...if you feel slighted or ignored, my apologies. I try to answer or give feedback on as many posts as possible, but cannot guarantee if/when I get to your request (and its not always possible to fix the issue you may have noticed). Bug reports are better with logcats though.

Q: I'm using boot manager and I can't get root and/or this doesnt work.......
A: Please stop right there....while I'm sure many enjoy using boot manager for various reasons, I will no longer accept bug reports from those running UKB from it. You are still free to share your issues in posts and others may be able to help you out, but I personally will ignore those posts...boot manager creates issues that dont exist in a straight wipe and install of a rom for the average user, and I cannot debug something like that, thanks.

Q: My friend has a One X/S and it has a lot more built in features, like rotating rosie, different sense lockscreens, etc..what gives?
A: This is a port of the HTC One V stock rom, which is not "full" sense 4, but rather (as htc calls it) sense 4a or "lite". Essentialy because the One V has relatively weak specs (512mb ram, 1 ghz processor, wvga screen) htc felt that it couldnt handle all the features in full sense 4, so they dumbed it down a bit.
Click to collapse
Q: Ok, I get that, by why not port a full One X or One S rom then?
A: Because our phone is wvga resolution like the one v, there is no resizing necessary. We could resize a full sense4 rom, but thats a lot of work, and honestly will always have more quirks/issues than a one v rom. I am currently working on porting in features from sense4 like lockscreens, cube animations, dialer, etc. Just give me time.

Q: There is a feature listed in tweaks, but I can't click it and its greyed!??
A: Means that either a) I haven't gotten it working yet or b) was meant for Full Sense 4 from the One X...its a pita to actually remove a tweak from the smali...so on the off chance I can get it working, I just disable it...so I don't have to add it back in
Click to collapse
Q: How can I change governors and oc settings?
A: As of UKB 3.0, we are using a stock 3.0.16 kernel. Since we don't have kernel source yet, it runs stock (though I did repack it for ext4 rather than ext3)

Q: What are the average quadrant scores on this rom?
A: Over 9000!

Q: Is there any way to increase haptic feedback on the soft keys/keyboard? Its very weak
A: It *might* be possible (and I thought it was) to fix settings within the rom, but I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to do. It seems from what I gather, that all the fixes on Sense 4 rom ports are kernel related, and that requires kernel source which we dont have currently.

Q: What's the difference between your rom and the several other Sense 4a roms that are out?
A: TBH? They are all going to be fairly similar. Different mods/functionality/tweaks/bases mostly.

Q: But someone's rom feels so much faster!! I thought they are all the same
A: I don't typically reduce animations times down to a 1/5th of what htc sets them as, which (if done) makes it *seem* like the rom is faster. If that's your thing download spare parts and turn animations off and transitions to fastest, you ll be *excited*

Q: When can we have the 3.0.16 kernel and fixed camera???
A: Its out now, camera (stock) is far from perfect...use a 3rd party app.

Q: I'm interested in helping out, is there anything I can do?
A: In terms of helping out, if you are an experienced modder/developer who wants to take on a bug in the rom, by all means go ahead and do so! Other ways to get involved is to help out in the thread...I don't always get to every question asked by everyone (especially on weekends when I'm mostly afk), so it's always appreciated when more experienced users help others out if/when they can. Granted there are annoying repetitive questions asked a lot, but rather than saying something nasty just direct them to "see op" or link a post that answers their question, thanks!

Q: I thought UKB X was going to have a whole new SystemUI and tweaks app?!
A: As of this moment I do not have permission to use anything newer than Tweaks 1.0, but some more of the lockscreen tweaks have been enabled because they work with the resized sense4 lockscreens. Yes, the scrolling pulldown still exists as I did not get to fixing that.

if you select "full rosie" in aroma you can use the 4 x 1 clock widget, but full rosie is a mess
its the one tbalden was able to sorta resize w/o mt10 tools...but its laggy, buggy, layouts are wrong, and you cannot edit the apps in the rosie dock

UI (4/5)
Very smooth, my friend also have neo v and he said amazing no lag at all very very smooth (5/5)
Launcher is quiet ugly but smoothness compensate for this (5/5)
Every thing is very responsive (settings, messaging, contacts and many more) (5/5)
Camera UI is weird (3/5)
Battery Life (6/5)
Amazing, better than ics and gb. After 14 Hrs of normal usage % drain in battery is only 13%.(6/5)
Performance (gaming)(10/5)
No OC default settings.
Coming from Jader's UHD 4.0, i want to say that this rom is beast for gaming.
Games which are incompatible with UHD (like fast and furious 6) are working flawlessly.
Games Tested
NFS MW -(not a single lag noticed)
Carmageddon- (same as MW but starting the game is quiet tricky, first skip intro and then press home button afer 10 sec long press home button and choose the game and voila now it is working)
Csr- working like charm (not even starting in UHD)
Fast 6 - Amazing
and at last my favorite game SG Dead Zone
SG Dead Zone -played 3 matches without any FC.
Music (4/5)
First i thought i'll miss walkman but DSP manager totally surprised me. I'm Using Creative EP-830 Headset and boss what a thumping bass i got.
So totally this ROM is Tailor made for neo v.
Rating 15 out of 5

Ok,so i'm using this ROM for 3 day now and it hasn't got any slower i installed a lot of apps,games...and the ROM is running almost as fast as gingerbread. At first i was skeptic about this ROM,i said "well this just like other jelly bean ROM promising but, still slow..." ,so i installed to convince my self...First fresh install it was super fast, the fastest ROM ever tried, even faster than Gingerbread,so i tested it and installed apps, games, used a lots of apps, camera recording, perfect no lag on playing recorded videos.I know 3 days is not a long time but when i used other ICS/JB custom ROM's they lost on speed pretty fast after i installed apps and games, and camera recording was always a bug,fc and laggy.I know every ROM is grate, but this ROM is awesome, super fast, super stable, super smooth, everyone has an opinion...
Thank you OP for making such a awesome ROM keep up a grate work

few basic tips to really get the most battery out of your device..
1.use fusion / fxp kernel

4.turn off wifi , bluetooth etc when not in use
5.before going to sleep , turn off useless apps such as whatsapp running in the background
6.restart your phone once everyday or every two days.. ( i restart my phone everytime before putting it for charging , i usually re-charge only when the battery reaches 1 % )

this bothers me, sorry may sounds noob, but, why do we need to flash stock ICS after flashing JB kernel?
just don't make into my sense
I mean what if I come from another JB Rom?
For me the ROM works awesome!

You can go ahead and install it over the jb rom with full wipes..
its just kind of a clean install thing because some roms may not install over some custom roms... so its just to ensure your phone is in the correct condition before flashing the rom...

This Rom is based on Rogers 9.1.A.0.489.ftf_Canada
quick note;
I fixed CWM so no more hitting no to install CWM before rebooting the phone, it just installs with the rom.
I would first like to say I'm no dev, I just used dsixda's kitchen to put this all together. So my first Thanks goes to dsixda for such an awesome tool!
Special thanks to, TiMiN8R, gregbradley, Spectre51 on how to use the kitchen, plus all other devs here at XDA that have helpped me over the years.

The rom is based on rogers latest Jelly Bean update - .489
I made this rom for all LT30a user's, LTE APN's for rogers are included.
Rom is and will be optomized for users in canada that have a locked bootloader, might work on other phones. If your brave you can test and report back.
Thanks TiMiN8R for the info
It turns out that the reduced size button mod is actually the cause of the picture effect fc. I don't know how to fix that and I personally don't care for it too much so I'll leave it as is until there's a solution. If someone really wants/needs the picture effect you can flash the original framework-res.apk but you lose the reduced size buttons.
Comming soon.
All Rogers apps removed , if you like the rogers app's you can download them from the market.
De-odex

Transdroid, must have.....

was tired of the brushed metal backgrounds and made a new style, let me know what you think.

Downlaod Xperia JB Here. V1.2 requires full wipe,if from another rom, if coming from 1.1 wipe dalvik and install. If you find any bugs please let me know.
I love feedback and will do my best to answer and keep an eye on the thread. as I'm new to building rom's I have a lot to learn. So with that being said if and when i upload a rom and it has warning in the change log, this just means it might not be stable and could cause you to have to reinstall a rom. I will do my best to ensure that does not happen by testing my self, but it's always a possibility.
Fine Print......,
if you are unsure on how to flash a rom, root a phone, answer a text or use an android phone you may want to do a little reading before you begin..
If by chance you mess up or I upload a rom that messes up your phone you ultimately are on your own and take full responsibility for anything that happens to your phone.
So all jokes aside take care and read if your unsure, Have fun.
Rogers LTE & Tethering APN settings, this came from a stock Roger's Xperia T.
So if you have lost your APN's or want to add the Roger's APN's for LTE to your rom here you go.
Good work!

Sent while on the go. Xperia T
Headphones volume issue
as with 1.1 got an issue with headphones volume. I know that it could be resolved by reinstalling the sound level limit apk. the rest is ok
Thanks man, another great release! I love the dialer colors. I also reflashed original Lidroid icons, fixed the headset volume bug. Just waiting for darn Rogers to fix hotspot!
notification widget color
it's nice design for the top bar notification widget but the silver color of it makes it hard to work with under the sunlight. Is there an opportunity to change the color? I'm not quite sure (just two days of testing), but in 1.1 version the battery performed slightly better. keep testing. special appreciation for your implementing dark theme for dial and sms apks. I have tried it with other custom ROMs, including .140 but the speed dial feature didn't work. In your ROM it works. :victory:

I got better battery live with .140 during the short time of testing it. People say that walkman bug was fixed in.140. but I lost LTE with it even with Rogers baseband and speed dial with dark theme didn't work. I'll stick with your ROM for the time being. good luck for your future developments.:good:

There are a lot of guys saying that it is possible to blablabla flash to T30p with LTE, which I haven't been able to achieve. I am pretty sure that Hackit started doing his own rom because of that issue.
the best ROM for Canada!

I agree with you. I tried different custom ROMs designed for LT30p and none of them did work with LTE after flashing Rogers' basebond. In my opinion 3.4 is the best ICS based ROM for Canadian testers (all me friends with XT use it) and 1.1/1.2 based on JB. It works well and stable in my XT.
thanks for the feedback,
I just bought an xperia zl and have been trying to get it modded the way i want, so i'm using my xperia t as my daily phone and can't be phoneless and going back to my xperia s is too hard. so i'll be a bit before i try and work on it.

Working very closely to remove unrequired LIB and ETC Files, I am now working on functionality and using the DEV DB thread please feel free to add feature requests and also add any bugs you find into the Bug Reports area so that i can
work on resolving the problems !
Also please ensure you submit detailed reviews about the ROM and Features !
I have also uploaded Screenshots of how my ROM Looks !

I have a bit of a problem doing that because i never backed up my EFS Partition before going to the 4.1.2 EMG4 Modem !
Because im a little bit silly !
Please, post the livewallpaper.apk. May be it's not a big deal for you, but I'm using WP wallpaper to show clock, alarm etc in compact and eye candy way ... and I'm missing that functionality.

It won't work on 4.2.2 v1. I ran that ROM for a long time and tried a number of live wall paper apps, even extracting one from another samsung 4.2.2. It simply crashes. I recommend you switch to the 4.1.2 v2. There isnt much more the 4.2.2 can offer. OR u can just wait for 4.3 should be out this month

Backup your EFS with EFS Pro.
I've tried it and it works without problems.
In case you still have problems, flash one of these base-bands that support the new EFS partition CLICK
I'm using one of them with your Reviva 4.2.2 ROM
Newest Versions
Hi All,
Last minute chances to let me know about any feature requests or bug reports before i start compiling the latest version !

Will
Make the statusbar icons and toggles white, like in the 4.2.2 version.
It looks cleaner, better and more KitKat-ish
Or the stock green samsung toggles would be awesome . Doubt we could get 4.2.2 white S-planner on 4.1.2. Can't say that i have any problems with it. The ROM is awesome
Work has started on the 4.3 version of my ROM !

I hope the file is less than 500 MB. I like a rom without all bloatwares. All including Samsung's and Google's. RevivaRom is promising, I like it.
AOSP can't be my daily driver since the camera shot is not as good as the stock Samsung cam. So the only option is Samsung rom, but without all the bloatwares. (AOSP-smooth and better camera app ==> best of both worlds)

On average my ROMS are always smaller than 500mb !
Only problem with the upcoming release is I am currently struggling to theme it so that might have to wait for v2 for theming !
You all looking forward ?

Yeah, bring it on! haha
One question though: is this rom using stock Samsung theme or is it themed heavily with that glorious #33b5e5 HOLO Blue? I like a rom that follows the theme of the original rom (which is what the manufacturer want users to use). If I want to see the glorious HOLO blue, I'd flash an AOSP rom.
If it is indeed themed, I hope there's a way to use the stock Samsung theme (even though I personally dislike it, but I had to have it for the sake of UI consistency)
@R0flC0pt3r thank you for the donation !
And for everyone else you are able to fonate by the donate button below my name if you enjoy my roms !
Every little helps !

Lol, this time I'm quite impressed with 4.1.2 version 2 ? Have user 4.2.2 so far and it was very responsive, but with no Live Wallpaper. Tried Wanam, but was bit laggy. 4.1.2 v2 is not 100% stable, but what a battery ! Hope not to degraded ! And hope 4,3 will be at least as good. Very nice job ! Your rom is so good, that I'm afraid to try Wanam 4.3.
