i cant access adb
it always gives an error and says no devices found
Please guys help me get my M7 Up

Look for the all in one toolkit and adb sideload.
You May need the new drivers it has.

Try to return the device to stock. So the first thing you want to do is install the HTC drivers on your computer. Next find the RUU (rom) for your device here: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/ruu-file-downloads/
Next thing is you want to boot into the bootloader menu and connect the usb. It should be in fastboot mode now. Now since you have S-On you will have to relock the bootloader before you are able to flash the RUU. I'm not 100% sure how to relock the bootloader but google is your friend. Once bootloader has been locked you need to boot the device in fastboot mode once again. once there you will have to run the following commands in command prompt.
use cd to change the directory to where you downloaded the RUU zip. ie if its on your desktop then it should be (assuming its windows):
cd C:\Users\"your Username here"\Desktop
next you want to run
fastboot oem rebootRUU
then once the htc logo pops up run
fastboot flash zip "the name of the RUU zip file".zip
The first time you run the previous command you should get an error like this:
FAILED (remote: 90 hboot pre-update! please flush image again immediately)
Once you get this error run the previous command immediately. The RUU should now just flash the phone back to stock and you should be good to go!

Re: Htc one m7 no os
how do i know which RUU will work , how will i know the compatibility, my fone is unbranded so no Sprint, At&t, none o that shows when i usually turn my phone on

you can change the CID to 11111111(SuperCID) and MID to PN0710000, that way any RUU would work. These forums should help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305490

sometimes my m7 can not be detected by my computer so giving commands to it is impossible.
then i restart my computer and its all ok.
you should try that

FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
that is the error i got when i tried flashing the ruu "RUU Zip M7 HTC Google Edition_3.06.1700.10"

Did you change your cid as in the previous post? To flash the Google play edition ROM you will need a the super cid or the Google one

Since your phone is unbranded I would go with the developer sense ROM. This might also need the cid change as well, but the developer ROM is the brightstar US one

you are in a conundrum at the moment. In order for you to change the CID you need S-off. So that would be the first step. Find a way to get s-off then everything should just work smoothly
*****Edit*****
Don't know why i didnt mention this before, but the google play edition rom needs s-off to work which is why it didnt work. So like i mentioned before try to install the brightstar US developer RUU. Also what is your CID ATM? You might need to install an RUU specific to your CID
---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ----------
you can get your CID by booting into fastboot and running this:
fastboot getvar cid
The biggest thing you need right now is to get back to a running rom. From there you can root, get S-off and then run any sort of rom you want. With S-on you are severely limited.
---------- Post added at 01:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:51 PM ----------
on second thought lets try and get you back up and running with viper rom as that seems easier at this point. As long as your bootloader is unlocked i think we should be able to do it. Do you by any chance have a USB OTG cable? It will help immensely if you have one.
The first thing you should do is get twrp custom recovery. from here:
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-m7.img
next you want to flash this recovery using fastboot
so navigate using cd to where you dowloaded the file as before
then type in command line
fastboot flash recovery "NameOfRecovery".img
after this you should now have TWRP recovery installed. Next you will want to boot into recovery and if you do not have a USB OTG cable then follow the instructions in this video to load the viperrom zip file onto the phone
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CivvxcM1PCY
Once the file is on your phone. You will want to do a data wipe/factory reset in recovery. Now you can finally flash the rom and will hopefully get you back up and running.

Guys,
take it easy a bit, flashing RUUs, changing CIDs, Kindle Fire sideload youtube etc. is rushing things a little, especially with S-On!! ... and S-Off can wait.
especially without a "fastboot getvar all"
at OP, please start by
1- posting a "fastboot getvar all" (excluding IMEI and s/n)
2- what recovery you are running (name and version)
3- what does Windows Device Manager show (while in custom recovery) -> "Unknown Device" or "Android USB .. -> My HTC" (if it's the former then check my guide FAQ #2... disregard the guide only check the FAQ!!)

lol guess what guys, i jus got my device to accept the sideload command...i unplugged my device and plugged it back in and now it wont pick up sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so im back in adb devices trying to push the rom, i reached as far as this command "adb push Rom.zip.zip /data/media"
but it says Permission Denied..why?

THANKS A BUNCH GUYS FOR UR HELP, I finally succeeded in doing it , i done it by sideload and nailed tht ****!!!!!!!!!!but cudnt do it without u guys insight, patience and help thanks

Not a problem. Glad to be of some help.

[Q] HTC ONE bootloop, no recovery, wrong CID, S-ON

Hi Guys,
1 month ago I chaged my HTC ONE into Google Play Edition. Then Yesterday I wanted to get it to stock sense.
What I did:
*) restore CID to HTC__032 (do not know if it is right CID, network: P4 play for Poland)
*) restore stock via TWRP
*) downgrade bootloader from 1.54 to 1.44
*) locked (reveone)
*) S-On
Now, my phone got always bootoader with a msg: "Security Warrinig"
Canno go to recovery - phone always reboots. System doesn't start.
I'm assuming that to repair my phone the first thing I have to do is S-OFF. I cannot do this via HTCDEV unlock file, every time when i fire "fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin"
file is successfully sent and that's all. "Swipe - unlock" screen doesn't appear. As we know ADB PUSH won't work in fastboot mode.
How I can transfer reveone file into internal storage to get my phone s-Off again and corretley flash a bootloader (1.54)?
Regards.

so let me get this straight:
1- S-On
2- LOCKED
3- No functioning ROM
if yes, you're pretty much stuck
did you get a new unlocktoken from HTCdev or are you using the old one. try registering a new account with HTCdev and get a new unlock file.

yes, I have tried - no success.
At first, the HTC Dev Unlock does NOT give you S-Off. It just unlocks your bootloader. And why did you change your CID if you didnt know if it was the right one? Google will help you to find the right one.
In case this IS the right one, I dont think you need S-Off as you're able to flash a new Recovery without S-Off. Try HTC aio Tool for example or via adb/fastboot flash. If this worked you'll be able to flash a new firmware.
Good Luck

So you were s-off before then back to s-on. Or how you downgraded from 1.54 to 1.44 ? I am confused now

Thank's for all your responses.
So:
@nkk71 - tried with new account - still no success.
@Frask3r - as long as I'm not able to run anything except bootloader: adb commant won't work(no way to perform push), fastboot only works.
@polariscon - I wanted to flash my googles' bootloader with the orginal one from HTC, so I flashed via fastboot.
I can confirm that CID is correct one HTC__032. I do not know if it will help.
You can flash with fastboot commands

Ok.. so to do it, I need: RUU 1.29.401.12 Radio 4A.18.32.63.15 for model PN0710000.
This software version I have installed on my HTC ONE. As far as I know I cannot flash it with any other RUU.
Am I correct?

oh I just saw you downgraded to 1.44, try an RUU (windows exe) from here: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/ruu-file-downloads/
which is compatible with your MID & CID (use fastboot getvar all, to determine MID & CID)
Hello.
I need help to fix my htc one.
I did delete everything on my internal sdcard. Cause i want to make it as new to give it to my girlfriend. But when i did that. Its stopped working. I've tried to use all in one kit by squabbi. But it won't work to change boot or anything. Maybe i did smt wrong.
When i turn on my htc one. Its stuck in boot. White screen with htc logo on it. I cant even turn it off again. I have to wait when the battery its empty. And then i can turn it on to fastboot. Before all that. I came into recovery and then its stands no OS on the phone.
But after i yried to fix it by myself then it will not be able to even touch the recovery. I push the screen, but nothing happend. I think i did it worse or smt. Pleas help if somebody can. It would be great.

if the ruu.exe doesnt work, then there's this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...0-01_release_318486_signed_2_4_decrypted-zip/

After reading OP i think you have many things mixed up so plz clarify
What happens when you try to boot into recovery...if its stock recovery it takes some time for red triangle to appear.
Which "swipe-unlock" screen are you talking about in unlocking bootloader.
When using RUU zip try more than once sometimes it takes 2 - 3 tries to work

But you can still boot into hboot so it might not be all lost
When was the last time you able to boot normally (after each steps you mentioned in OP)
I'm Sorry for answering so late. My phone just came back from "local" GSM repair center.
So what they done?
They destroyed my back cover and using JTAG changed cid to: HTC_02_2 and version-main to 1.00.000.00
and they told me that I'm not able to flash my phone with any current ROM version because I have to wait for
the latest one.
I have tried to update my phone with RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.1_Radio_4A.13.3227.06_10.27.1127.01_release_308001_signed_2_4.exe on my own.
I changed my cid in android-info.txt but after "signatures checking" step i received error msg no 131 (customer id)
Now I'm wondering, if I will procceed with below steps:
*) change cid to: 11111111 (using JTAG)
*) still s-on (i cannot change it - bootloop)
*) bootloader locked
are there any chances to make it works again?
Cheers
Robert
Can you unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery, root, and install a custom rom?
Then S-Off, and move to a HTC__001 based International HTC One RUU file.
What is your hboot version? or fastboot getvar all output?

Help me please! :(

My current situation is : M7_UL PVT Ship S- On Tampered relocked & unrooted again. No Rom installed, no backup, no recovery!
:'(
I tried installing RUU file but it failed, tried two/three different RUUs.
Also tried to achieve S-Off but maybe I'm to dumb & it didn't work.
I'm out of ideas, please help me

Im pretty sure you cannot boot into a custom recovery with S-ON
To remove the TAMPERED and LOCK the bootloader, you will have to S-OFF using rumrunner for hboot 1.5x or revone for hboot 1.44
The current Rumrunner can work with a custom rom e.g. the latest version of ARHD or Insertcoin ROM that has an unsecure kernel. To do this though you will have to unlock the bootloader using htcdev and install the custom rom and then S-OFF

Yeah you cant boot .img files any more with s-on or s-off htc removed it in the now HBOOT and fastboot.
Dont panic mate its really easy to fix
Simply download ARHD from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023 make sure you have all the latest drivers and everything installed and rename the file to rom.zip you will need TWRP for this i believe and simply boot to recovery (TWRP) and push thw file to your sdcard using adb push rom.zip /sdcard (takes a while) simply flash arhd rom.
Once your phone boots you can use rumrunner.us to s-off the phone. Follow the instructions on their site. Once thats done boot to fastboot and use the command fastboot oem writecid 11111111 you will now have supercid and you can now flash any ruu you like. (unless you need to downgrade hboot.) If thats the case pm me and i can guide you through it on here.

I used to use ARHD but I switched to maximus HD because of the OTA and the 360 camera mod.
So to upgrade firmware you want to boot into fastboot and type "fastboot getvar mid" write it down then go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485651 and download the correct version against your mid.
Put it in your adb/fastboot folders and making sure your still in fastboot type "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
Once you phone boots into update mode you will see a HTC logo on your screen and nothing else.
Rename the firmware you just downloaded to firmware.zip and type "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip"
It will say say failed pre hboot update flush image again. Simply type the exact same cmd again "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip" and it will flash the latest firmware.
The progress bar on your phone probably won't go all the way up but as long as cmd says finished its done so just type "fastboot reboot-bootloader" and if you look your main-os will have changed.
That's it.
Your on the latest firmware meaning all the Roms should run smoothly and you should have no more issues with exposed.

One thing I forgot to mention you need super cid so if you havn't already you need to be in fastboot and you need to type "fastboot oem writecid 11111111" and then fastboot reboot-bootloader you cod should have changed to 11111111 allowing you to flash an ruu for any phone now.
Everything done, thanks for your help!

You mean I can't boot into a custom recovery with S-OFF and a unlocked bootloader? Sry.. I'd test that but my phone is sent in for repair

Yeah afraid so. Tbf I don't know of that is the case for every phone but the m7_ul UK edition couldn't get it to work on any device I tried after contacting a friend who I have inside HTC's repair centre he claimed the feature does not work with the latest hboot.
I might see if I can get some other devices from work to test this further and if it is true for all variants then maybe enroll on a workaround

no problem, it might have actually been broken by accident, someone disassembled the code and saw a bad memcpy; sort of lost track of the post though

Screen Fuzzy after GPE Conversion.

Hello everyone,
I was following the conversion to Google Play Edition on this website
http://htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-...with-bootloader-recovery-ota-updates-0148068/
After changing my modelid and cid, I typed "fastboot OEM rebootRUU" and now every time I turn on my phone I get this screen. (See attached). Even if I try to boot into recovery, this screen still appears.
I doubt there's a way to fix this but any thoughts would be helpful.
Thank you.
Due to the nature of a LCD panel that static is technically not a natural occurrence as it is on a crt panel, I suspect you flashed a bad recovery or someone's joke, try changing recoverys

How did you changed your MID? Which method did you used? It looks like you have flashed the eng hboot. in that case, the screen you see is normal, you must run the ruu to restore the hboot and then you'll get rid of that screen. This method of changing MID is NOT recommended like said in the first post of the thread you have used to do the change MID. There is now much safer and easier way to do this from custom recovery. Flashing the eng bootloader could brick your phone.
reboot your phone to that gray screen and then launch the gpe ruu.exe. Each time the ruu says "waiting for bootloader" reboot the phone manually by holding the power button. When the ruu flash is complete, your phone should work normally. Next time, don't use this method to change MID.

In 99% of the cases, this screen is caused by flashing the engineering bootloader to change the MID.

Thanks for the response, to change the MID, I did flash the eng hboot.
Yeah, it looks like it is normal. I tried running the ruu but my computer won't detect the phone at all. I've read that this is because I'm running Windows 8.1 and there's an issue with the drivers.
I'll have to revert to WIndows 7 and do it
Thanks!

yes unfortunately you can't use this method with 8.1 like warned at post 2, 434 and 439 and you should not use this method at all like warned at post #1:

If you don't want to downgrade your windows version, use a ubuntu live cd. You can use fastboot from ubuntu (linux) on your computer without installing the OS.
Next time you want to change MID, use this tool from a custom recovery, its easier, faster and safer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535365

Roms with Aroma Installer never work. Suggestions?

My HTC One has all the necessary prerequisites for flashing Roms. I'm not sure how to check s-off though, but I think that's the case. I can flash Roms that do not use Aroma, but if the ROM contains Aroma there is no use. They all freeze at a certain point, I believe around some part that has to do with the System. For example, Maximus HD freezes at 1% when formatting something. Any help would be appreciated. I have looked a lot for the last few days, and can't seem to find an answer.

Okay so I'm assuming that you're flashing a kk rom here. Are you on the latest recovery and also on a kk base with the latest radios and hboot already on the device? Also make sure you're flashing the right rom for you're device. What device do you have? And also send the link to the rom you're trying to flash just so I can double check that it's correct as if it's freezing at 1% then all I can think that is the problem is you're either trying to flash a kk custom rom on a jb rom without updated firmware and radios or your recovery is out of date or the 3rd reason could simply be you're trying to flash the wrong rom for your phone.

That is the rom, It's Maximus HD. My hboot is 1.54, I'm not sure if my phone has the latest radios, but I have the latest TWRP recovery. 2.8.0.2 I think? I have the HTC One M7 for AT&T., but it says HTC One UL in the same screen I found the hboot. I believe the phone was converted to the GPE edition since it says GOOGL1 on the hboot screen. (I bought this second hand)
EDIT: I just want to add that Android Revolution HD yields the same results, but at 10%. And my phone is currently on a stock build of Sens 6 4.4.3, but the rom before it was GPE.

If you go into your bootloader you'll see under the **unlocked** message you'll see something that has the phone model and then ship and after ship it will say either s-on or s-off and for the ROM you're trying to flash you have to be s-off thankfully you're on hboot 1.54 so you can use rumrunner to gain s-off if you're not so check that

Have you checked the md5 of the ROM to make sure that it isn't just a bad download or something which you would just need to re download it again?

Redownloaded, same issue. My CID says CID-GOOGL1, could that be the issue? I heard that the CID is supposed to be something like 1111111 or something like that.
After every attempt, when I restore a backup, I see the text "E: Unable to mount ' /cache' " in red

Yea that's actually what I was just about to say haha I just had to grab the links to the CID's so you can find the one for your phone as it's a converted gpe phone not a factory one which means you simply just need to go to the link I'll post here and find the RUU that is for at&t and the CID will be listed under the download link then you just need to change it.
Link for CID: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/ruu-file-downloads/
Once you've found your CID listed in the link which I'll have a look myself to see if I can find it for you but you need to then go into terminal or cmd and type in:
adb reboot bootloader
adb oem writecid CWS__001
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
I changed the code so that it has the correct CID for you so just type in what I've typed there and you'll be back to normal and it should all flash fine

I always receive the red text saying it can't mount cache so don't worry it's not going to stop you from flashing that's just an issue that I have no idea what's causing it but cache is a temporary file anyway so it isn't going to affect installing a ROM well at least it hasn't for me

Unable to install or reset

So I've been communicating with HTC people via their support chat, I know my phones been screwed for a long time but they said they want me to send my phone into the repair center which would cost up to $200, so initially I said no way because my contracts almost up so it's not worth it.
So pretty much when I power down and hold home my screen says:
***Tampered***
***Relocked***
***Security Warning***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
Hboot- 1.56.0000
My question is how do I fix the re-locked since that's the part they want me to send my phone in for.

only way to get it to say locked instead of relocked is to get s-off on your phone, and for that you need a working rom and also will need to use sunshine s-off tool which will cost $25, but this wont help you as HTC already know you once unlocked your bootloader.
on a different note, why do you need to send your phone to HTC, whats wrong with it ? its nothing to do with the relocked status, I can lock, unlock or relock all of my HTC's in 5 mins, but that would explain why they will charge you for any repairs, shows it was once unlocked and that voids your warranty.

lets get straight to the point, what is wrong with your phone, or what do you want to do to it, does it work now, does it boot etc ?
---------- Post added at 07:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:18 PM ----------
you have many options, you can post your fastboot getvar all now as it is with relocked status and see if we can find an RUU to flash to your phone
or
you can unlock your phone, flash a custom recovery and then flash a custom rom, choice is yours, but all depends on whats wrong with your phone, why you want to send it to HTC.

My phone refuses to let me go into recovery mode, it just sends me back to the fastboot screen I want to update it, I have the RUU but the problem is since it says re locked it refuses to let me update or reset. I don't want to send it to HTC, their support chat told me to send it to them because it wouldn't let me update. Which was the reason why I wanted to speak to them to see how I could update it.

couple of things first of all, if you have the full RUU for your phone, then it needs to be relocked to flash it, can you post a link to it or the full file name.
if you have a custom recovery on your phone then relocked is why you cant get into recovery, your phone needs to be unlocked to enter anything custom, stock recovery will look like a big red exclamation mark on the phone screen to start with.
you also need to be using M7_WLS Spirit files, GSM files wont work.
now the downside, if you do have a custom recovery on your phone, you wont beable to unlock it, that requires stock recovery, only way to get stock recovery back on there is either flash the correct RUU for your phone (if there is one) or flash the firmware.
can you post your fastboot getvar all without imei and serial number please.

easier way, in your bootloader where you got the other information from, does it say os version at all ?
---------- Post added at 08:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:49 PM ----------
I'm going to have to go in a min but have a look here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-sprint/news/ read the manual update instruction on this page and follow them, if your current OS version is a 5.xx.651.x then use the RUU that HTC gave you, again just follow the manual instructions on that page linked above.
if your current os version is already 6.23.651.6 then use the RUU at on that page, the download link is at the bottom, again just follow the manual update instructions.
Your phone will work fine again after either of those.

when you plug your phone into the computer, make sure its says fastboot usb on your phone screen inside the bootloader and then go into device manager on your computer, see if your computer can see your phone, it should say at the top of your device manager - Android Devices - MyHTC, if you have a yellow exclamation mark in there somewhere that says "One" or something like that then you will need to manually force the driver.
