Glad you like it lol I think the gun metal one is the best colour overall. Shame about the nfc but at least it's transferable

I wanted to get one of these along with a metal bumper, but I feel like I'd have as much reception as I did in 1995 with that setup.
Looks awesome though.

my bros has one of these for the S3 but he said his GPS signal wont lock when he has it on, is the same true for GN2?

It defiantly degrades the signal but it does still work

Just got the Otterbox commuter

And my god am I impressed. I've used otter boxes since the iphone 3gs but I was torn between this and the body glove case. After this purchase, the Otterbox brand will be on every phone I own. Totally recommend this case, it comes with an screen protector you apply but I'm not a fan of those so I can't say anything about it but still, worth every penny. You just can beat the quality of these, fits like a glove, no movement what so ever.

How many days did it take to get to you? How long in processing?

Unboxing

Got my Gear in this morning. Wanted to do an unboxing video. A first for me. Enjoy!

Give us your impressions.

So far, I am limited until my phone arrives later on this afternoon. Right now I am wearing it to see how it feels. I have large wrists so I had to use the furthermost hole in the band, but it fits well. It has a bit of weight to it, which for some, might take a little getting used to. The buckle also serves as the speaker.
If you're typing it can interfere with the wrist rests on your keyboard but your mileage might vary. I did power it on and take it outside to test outdoor visibility. It's sunny here in Houston today, I didn't see any issues, but again, it's just my preference.
It came with a 71% charge. I used the cradle to charge it to 100% which didn't take long at all. The watch is pretty much useless without the phone.

I want to see a pic of it on your wrist for size comparison plz ,,,,thx

Can you tell me if an MMS will show up on screen ?
How far away from the phone can you get before it loses connection ?

Still waiting for the phone to arrive. UPS is notoriously late for standard deliveries around here. I was surprised when they overnighted the watch lol.
I'll try these things out as soon as I can.

So what's the deal with this? As far as I can see my screws look to be the same height but it could just be an optical illusion LOL.

Thanks, I was worried the Gear might not fit. My wrist is 8 1/4" (21 cm). I usually need extra links with a Fossil watch.

I was talking about being aligned clockwise not at the same height. Hahaha

Judging from a few comprehensive review I've seen yes it does have limitations like for the email. However this thing does have potential... At this rate though, checking the battery life will have to wait till tomorrow as I still don't have the phone...

HTC one durability

Welp broke the screen on my second phone now. Man if you drop these phones on the corner, the screen Is guaranteed to break. Anyone else have a similar experience? I do have a case on these phones by the way.

ive been lucky, dropped mine a few times and its still good, case is pretty beat up but rather it be beat up than the phone.

That sucks man! I guess I have a good case, I've dropped mine a bunch.....first few times I kinda freaked, now nothing happens, and I pick it up! Sorry for your loss.

I'm using the Incipito Dual Shine Pro, 3 major drops on the corner and no damage to phone. 2 small cracks in the case though. Better the case then the phone I say. Sorry you weren't so lucky op.

actually no not at all.. dropped this guy many many times and have a couple chips in the metal but the screen is fine. Even the other day im running on a tredmill and flap my headphone wire with my arms as im running.. it fell on the belt i kicked it and it still was fine.

I have a Otterbox Commuter on mine, and it has seen the concrete floor at work several times without consequence. Invest in a better case.

I spilled bong water on mines and my girl scratched it a little with my keys over top speaker other than that no drop damage and trust it's seen it's fair share. #TOUGH

I have had some serious drops before this and it was fine. It's weird that it ends up being the small drop on the corner that does it.

Cruzerlite XDA case. The thing has has protected my phone multiple times till the corner drop.

Yea even a thin case around the phone will prevent this from happening - it will absorb a lot of impact since its a compressible material...
basically w/o a case if u drop it on the front corners it will likely crack the screen
This is because the impact is abosorbed by the metal- which will not compress, it will just push all the force down to the glass screen and crack it.. if they just had a little bit of rubber or plastic between the metal and the glass it would alleviate the impact enough so that the screen wont crack as easily.

I power slammed my phone and the screen broke. HTC makes crappy phones. I'm buying a iPhone

The effects of the curve

After using this phone.. Has anyone tried looking at a flat phone and see the corners bending backwards? I know they're not but the flex has made my eyes seem like the corner of other phones look like they're bending away from me.

Give me some of that stuff your smokin. Hehe

Omg I thought it was just me! For a while, every time I used my Nexus 4 it looked bent to the back until my eyes got used to it. With a case on the Flex, (or at least my case) the curve is less prominent so it helps if you switch to a flat phone every now and then.

I noticed this with my wife's new phone and tried to explain it. She cared about as much as you'd expect... which is not at all. It is significant though. It really messes with your eyes.

Cant blve someone made a thread about this lol bc i thought i was goin crazy! I rly love the flex, the only thing that worries me is the ghosting on the screen. Hope it dont stay, so far it just fades away. Ive seen it on every flex ive touched [emoji53] oh well screen is still nice and the battery is sick. I dont think i would pick any phone over it right now but thats just me [emoji4]

I haven't noticed the bending backwards, but when I picked up my wife's iPhone 5s, I couldn't believe how small it is! I was afraid I was going to break it. Pictures looked bad, because they were so small, items were hard to click on, it was horrible!

Heck try using a iPhone 4 it blew my mind almost thought it was fake cause it was so small.but any phone I look at not beside the flex seems to look like its bending out

I told this to my friend when I was using his note 2. The corners look like they're bending out and theres a ball in the center. So weird. kind of like convex and our phones are concave
