Hi guys,
I have a some problems with Throw function in my Z1. Firstly I want to sorry for my poor english. I wish you can understand me.
I have a PC and VAIO laptop, and Throw via WiFi doesnt work. If I enable Bluetooth it works correctly, but you know, range of BT is terrible, so I want stream music via WiFi.
If I use PC Companion, wireless connect work perfectly, I can copy files, and update my phone, but when I use Throw, and select PC or laptop via WiFi it loading for while and finally nothing happens. Even sound timer always display "00:00". When I click Play button, it's again the same - loading and nothing.
In Windows Media Player I turn on Stream->Allow remote devices to control my computer , and in further options "Allow all" in sharing streams.
I fight with that since 3 hours, and I give up... Anyone any idea ?

I have no idea what you're trying to do but :
Throw means throwing informations with your phone not sharing or taking control of another media.
With my Z1 i can throw music or photos to my TV for exemple (that simply sends and plays the music on my TV).
What do you want to do exactly?

I want to be able to throw music to my laptop or desktop while all three devices *Z1 Laptop Desktop* are connected to same wifi network.
Also what is the best cheapest way to connect my phone screen to my non-smart TV? I do not opt from ChromeCast
Hey there, guys.
I'm facing this problem too. For some reason "Throw" stopped working or works when it wants.
Long story short, i have .757 NUT's, Rooted, LB and Xposed installed with not else than Super User Mod.
When i try to use Throw, i can't find my Samsung Smart TV (In the past it was able to); funny thing is that i cant use Throw for watch videos on my PC using XBMC, but XBMC can access to my content vía uPnP and can reproduce the videos, phoos, etc. I use skifta which does "the same" than Throw and it works perfecly, it can find my TV and can reproduce the videos, but i can't understand why my naive APP which use DLNA wont work.
Any fix or workaround?

I dont know if this is possible or the right terms to use but basicly I want to have my PC in the living room , and watch TV in my bed from my diamond
I have a wireless router and I have Vista Ultimate with a dual TV card in there
What SW do I need on my phone to recive live tv? I see a few apps out there wich seem to broadcast my TV all over the internet , then I can download it from my phone , but that uses data , and due to my slow internet connection is not useable ..
Is there a way just to send the live tv signal directly over the wireless without going through the internet?
I would like to be able to change channels and so forth from the phone , and maybee even have my girlfreind watching something else on the PC since we have a dual tuner card
Nero MediaHome I think allows for TV stream over the LAN. Not sure how it works as I've never tried, I only use it to stream media files.
UUUUU thats something im down for. Did you chek out Programs: Streaming Media???
Luck dude!
I'm not sure if this helps, but I read somewhere, sometime ago that SLING media (who make the Sling player for internet TV) was making an app for the Nokia N95. So its defo available for phones, whether it works out the box or can be tweaked for the (much better) Diamond is something you or somebody else will have to investigate!
Hope this helps!
DG.
TVersity should be able to do this just fine:

hmm did you try Orb?
Hi everyone..
I am looking for software that will allow me to access my PC's USB webcam and stream images to the phone... If possible, also stream the audio of the room.
I would be connecting the phone via WiFi to either the same network or a diffrent network.. I want to use it as sort of a home security measure.. I have no problem if I have to install some software on my computer as well... I am running Windows 7 on my computer... Thanks in advance..
Hi all. Just curious if anyone has had success syncing Winamp over Wifi as it claims it can. I've tried on two phones and now the Gtab and all I ever get is FC. Plays local media well, but when I go to the "Enable Sync" is settings.... BOOM! FC.
No one?! No body has used Winamp before?
I haven't tried on the most recent version, but I was able to associate the tablet and use sync without any issues when I tried.
This was about three weeks ago, so probably five different firmwares and one Winamp revision ago.
I'll try it again tonight and see if it's still working.
winamp on windows crashes on me after only a few songs but I do get some.
Thanks. Please let me know. I use it all the time on my W7 laptop, but can't get into the setup for wireless sync on the tablet (or my Hero). I'm bummed, but if someone else has the same issues at least I know it's not just me.
It works great on my Nexus One, haven't tried the Gtablet yet. For reference my PC is running Windows 7 Professional x64.
Are you trying to use your gtab as a wireless remote to play your music on your computer, or play your music from your computer on your gtab over wifi?
If you are trying to use your gtab as a wireless remote I have a pretty cool solution that I use all the time (not with winamp though... sorry). My htpc is connected to my stereo / tv and I sue the gtab as a wireless remote for my music.

I'm on W7 x86. Not sure what the issue could be. Perhaps I didn't set it up properly on the PC side.

I simply want to sync Winamp to the GTab as the app states it can. I'll have to verify the PC setup I guess.
I had to do some tweaking, rebooting and other stuff but I was eventually able to get it to sync to my Sprint Hero and GTablet. I'm on whatever the latest Winamp is now, Win7 x64 Home Premium, and I could get my PC to see both the devices fine; just sending files was the problem. It ended up being that you have to have both the auto-mount AND sync enabled for it to actually send files. Found that on the Winamp forums.
So if you're having a problem just getting it to enable the syncing on your phone, I cannot help. Sorry.

I installed it on my GTab from the market - hit the wi-fi tab in WinAmp and it discovered my SeaGate NAS storage and grabbed all the music from it with the only issue being a couple of Album covers are wrong. I am running TnT Lite 3.1.4...

Ok. I'm going up to TnT 4.10 tonight so I'll reinstall it from the market and see what happens. Thanks. I'll keep ya'll posted.

I had been using Winamp for quite some time now. But only running a international radio with no problem.
I love the winamp app, works like a charm! Today I tried the wifi-syncing option, but it won't work on my X10i. Milestone works perfectly, but with my X10i, Winamp can't even recognize it as my X10, just a wifi android device. And it keeps telling me I don't have enough free space, even worse, it tells me 0MB (0%)/0MB... Anyone else having this problem? Couldn't find anything on the web about this problem
I got it to work fine.
Have synced both over WiFi and USB. Seems a bit slow.
One thing I wish they allowed you to do is select the destination for the synced files. I want to put my media on the external SD.
I might post something on their support forum about that.
Deleting pmp_wifi.ini from %appdata%/roaming/winamp did the trick for me when my pc couldn't discover the winamp on my android. After restarting winamp on your pc, you should be able to see and pair with your devices.
Thanks for the "enable auto-mount" trick! My winamp would get stuck after a few songs. Looks like it's going for the whole 12 gigs now.
Edit: winamp crashed again, even with automount enabled. Still searching for a solution..
Hi as title says I have a question about smartshare....
Now, I've already "connected" LG OB and my laptop and play music and view pics the question is, is it possible to transfer [or copy-paste don't know(?)] from phone to laptop using smartshare?
Thanx in advance
You said you've already "connected " means you succeeded to connect via WiFi? Or just usb or Bluetooth connection with laptop?
No, you can't. Smartshare is LG's DLNA app. You can stream media from and to other DLNA devices. I use it to play music on my Sony home cinema set when I'm in the kitches for example.

I mean via WiFi, I can play music as Trekvogel said and watch pics on TV, etc. I wanted to know if it was possible to transfer files using smartshare cause bluetooth it's kinda slow [for music and vids] and in the hipotetical of being out of home and no USB, so I guess it´s needed to remove SDcard or never forget the USB

many thanx man, it is pretty useful like LGpcSuite but without the plug i guess
You could also use Dropbox to sync files, which works quite well on local networks.
- Idea: Want to play Mobile Games on my big HD TV (has no DLNA), only solution so far: MHL Cable, but this is a pain in the a s s you need a MHL Adapter, a Charging Cable and a 5 meter HDMI Cable. b*tch please. that's no fun.
- Problem: TV has no DLNA function where i could mirror the Mobile Phone screen, else it would be solved.
Is there a Solution?
my PC is connected with DVI-HDMI to the HD TV, so if i could make my PC work like a DLNA Receiver with VLC Player or something, maybe i could get the Xperia Z find my PC in the LAN as DLNA device and stream the Xperia Screen (Games, Videos) to the PC VLC Player and watch it on my TV then like i play games on my PC.
Is this possible and how ?
DLNA will not enable you to play games on your tv. It will allow the playback of media.
You need something to mirror the phone image. Like MirrorLink. Which isn't available yet.

ok, that's what i thought in the first place.
i contacted the sony support today and they told me that i can not play games from my phone on my older sony bravia tv without a MHL Adapter Cable (Micro USB to HDMI), but with a newer DLAN TV (yes DLAN, he thought it is correct like this, in the end i told him it's called DLNA).
that's where my thoughts came from, that a pc may also be able to view the screen picture and act as a DLNA Receiver like the newer DLNA TVs.
It's not DLNA, it's Miracast. Currently no solution to have your computer act as receiver exists, but it is theoretically possible on any device with WiFi and WiFi Direct.
Remember though that wireless mirroring doesn't work simultaneously with regular WiFi and has over a second delay.

You could play limited media through your laptops DLNA server from the phone, just select your computer from the throw settings. But of course you will have to have the computer connected to the TV.
One scond delay over wifi, dude you need a new router or network config, there is a delay, but I would suggest it shouldn't be one second, this would be due to the connected device rendering the image for display not WIFI lag.
Yes as for using your tv for what you are asking MHL is really your only option

He asked about mirroring, not streaming. Streaming music or movies to your pc is easy, I just use foobar for that (music only).
Miracast doesn't use your router at all, it's WiFi Direct which means it goes directly from your phone to the receiving device. You obviously haven't tried it because there really is quite some delay. Your phone has to compress the display data on the fly, transmit it and then the receiver needs to decode it. Don't expect that too be to fast. Check some YouTube videos and you'll see there is a delay.

Yep and what do you think DLNA is??? Only streaming of various media types. So the answer is clearly NO. That was his question. And that is what I told him

Yes I wasn't referring to WIFI direct nor miracast, and neither were you in your quote stating about the over one second delay, well at least you didn't make that clear. I was referring to using wifi to mirror my screen on my Sony TV, and I state that quite clearly.
You ovbiously got out of the wrong side of the bed
