HELP! I cannot boot into recovery - Verizon LG G2

I was attempting to go from Malladus 1.2.9 to 2.0.0. I was running 12B and I thought I followed the directions. I created a Nandroid backup prior to doing anything. This is the steps I attempted to follow.
1. Created Nandroid backup using TWRP
2. wipe system/data/cache
3. flash vs980_1xx_to_24a.zip to prep for 4.4.x
4. flash malladus-vs980-2.0.zip
5. flash lg_apps_kk-20140408.zip
6. flash PA’s GApps package
I received a message that step 4 failed. I then attempted to reboot into recovery to go back to my backup, but I just get a black screen. I also attempted to hold the vol- & power button to go into recovery, I get the warnings about factory reset, but then goes to a black screen.
I'm by no means an expert, but I've been running Malladus since 1.1.4 without issues. I need HELP and fast. Thanks in advance.

Well, its not bricked at least. Can you ger into download mode?

My exact same problem...I'd love for someone to help out with this.

I had to use download mode to go back to stock then was able to install 2.0.0. I think it was because I was using an older version of TWRP.

[Q] CWM Recovery Boot loop - LG Revolution

I'm stuck in a CWM Recovery boot loop.
- ran Mt's Root&RecoveryAIO - Root and CWM Recovery
- backed up my phone with CWM Recovery
- put GingerVolt on my SDcard
- did a factory reset
- after reboot phone loaded directly into CWM Recovery
- Installed GingerVolt from SD (zip) restarted and I was back in CWM Recovery. Restarted again. Back in...
- Restored backup didn't work either
I cannot access my phone via usb. It Blue screens my PC or shows up as a internet connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did u try the get out of recovery zip? I pulled the sd card out to load it.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51199467/exitrecovery.zip here is the exit recovery zip. flash it in cwm you need to get it on your sd card i think you can mount your sd in cwm now to get it there and in the future when you do a factory reset dont do it from the setting menu boot into recovery and choose the wipe data/ factory reset button option.
Thanks I appreciate your help I did use that zip. Definitely a noob though, I couldn't find anything related to that script in any of my searches.
It's buried somewhere in the development section I just keep it in my dropbox so I don't have to search for such a common problem.
I tested something to try and fix the factory reset from the settings menu but it didn't work so for now that's the only fix.

Thank you!!
This worked out perfectly for me, thank you. I just have one question for you. Does this take me back to pure stock straight out of the box? I only ask because I noticed SuperUser is still on my phone. I would like to take my phone back to "straight out of the box" if possible. Is there such a thing after a phone has been rooted?
Scratch that, it still has root. I will just stick with root for now.
Follow this exactly to get your phone back to stock. If it fails around 10% then get a different USB cable.

[Q] Boot loop CM 10

After updating to cm-10.1-20121231-NIGHTLY i'm having problems with a boot loop. After rebooting the phone keeps hanging after showing the spinning CyanogenMod logo. From this position i cannot get into recovery-mode or download-mode using the 3-buttons combo. Also the computer won't detect the phone. What can i do to solve this problem?
Can you write down the steps you did to update your ROM?

I've updated using the option in "settings"menu and then the "about phone"menu. The possible update were also shown in the notification bar. So i haven't downloaded them and used the recovery-mode.
Try boot into recovery and install zip from sd, navigate to CM update and flash the update again, maybe wipe cache partition and dalvik first. Flashing twice sometimes helps.

Try these:
*Remove battery.Don't switch on your device.Just go to recovery using button combo and wipe dalvik cache,data.etc.
*If you can't go to recovery.Just go to download mode and flash a bootloader via ODIN( PC).

[How To] CWM Recovery

With the new boot loader unlock it comes time to use a recovery other than safe strap. The easiest way to flash a custom recovery, in this case, clockwordmod recovery, is to simply download ROM Manager and use it to flash the Motorola Photon Q version of CWM Recovery. I flashed it and booted into it and haven't experienced any problems as of yet so for those looking for a custom recovery straight out of the gate, this is for you.

Nice i don't know if i should try it or wait for an official one for our device. In the mean time back to my nexus 4

If you really want to give it a spin you can always flash the Photon Q version otherwise I'm sure there will be an official version ported soon

So far, i have installed the cwm for the photon q like you, and made a back up through it. Im going to see if it will restore from it as well. ill keep everyone updated.:good:
:edit: I sucessfully backed up my stock JB rom, wiped everything, and restored everything back and everythings perfect... I dont know what else to try before attempting to flash using the photon CWM. any ideas?
I uses the photon q recovery to backup & restore, and haven't had any issues yet. No ROM flashing for the time being, just haven't tried it yet.

Did you try to go back into CWM and wipe everything again after the boot loops? That sometimes helps when it is boot looping after an install.

I'm Stock Again, Restart always sent me to fastboot with a failed flash error, I could back out of it to the pizza ROM each time however I don't want to depend on my phone booting incorrectly so I used RSD and I'm stock again, I'm going to give it another try tonight.
UPDATE...Reflashed everything started over and everything works PERFECT Yippie!!! I'm very pleased!!!!

So what was your full procedure? I want to try this and try to install CM10 later.
From what I read, you installed the Photon Q CWM, installed Pizza through that, got boot loops, flashed back to stock, then installed Pizza again?

Fastboot was kicking errors and was boot looping into fastboot with firmware flash fail, I found however I could start into AOSPizza in DB mode (Safe Mode) , so I did that, charged up the phone 100% then used RSDLite and Reflashed Stock current firmware, it however does not re-lock the bootloader as some have mentioned might be the case in other post's, from there I started up the phone, turned on usb debug, used "motochopper" to root it, then installed Rom Manager from the market, flashed clockwork to device with the Photo Q CWM , copied AOSPixxaV1.zip ( The ROM ) and GappizzaV1.zip to the Phones internal storage not on the external SD memory card, from there went to clockwork mod on my atrix opened up the program and selected to reboot into recovery, went to the mounts and storage then select Mount System then go back then install zip from sd card then choose zip from sd card, then scroll to your rom and select it and it will flash when its complete you will go back and go to reboot system now, it will ask you if you want to bypass stock recovery on boot select it and your phone will reboot into AOSPizza......Have Fun!

N7000 - sticking during Odin flash - logo plus yellow exclamation triangle

Hi
Ancient history - I rooted my Galaxy Note a few weeks ago with a Philz kernel. I didn't really know what I was doing, but it seemed to work fine. This morning, my phone was shut down, and wouldn't start up, sticking on the Samsung screen. I read other threads here, and it seems like to fix this, I need to flash the same Philz kernel using Odin when in download mode, then start up in recovery mode, mount as USB and extract my files, then restart and reinstall files, and I should be back to more or less where I was last night. /Ancient history
I've installed Odin, started the device in download mode, found the correct .tar, connected the phone, and started the process in Odin.
When it got to restart, the phone is again flicking the logo screen on and off, now with a yellow triangle and an exclamation. Does this essentially mean I need a different kernel? I was hoping that reflashing it with the same Philz kernel would solve the problem, but it appears not .
I solved this bit
I also solved this bit. Please see the edited original post for the current problems.

if you already have flashed philz kernel, try to boot into recovery mode with volume up+power+home button. Yellow exclamation is nothing to worry about, it can be removed once you have phone booted up.

Yeah, I found that I can get into recovery mode, I mounted and backed up my USB, and then I did a factory reset. The phone now runs, and I'm finding myself tempted to put in a KitKat rom, because I'm a glutton for punishment.

if you made nandroid backup from philz kernel then flash philz kernel, reboot recovery and try to restore. If you didnt include preload in the backup then that could be a problem. You can do a clean flash for the stock rom and then advanced restore and restore data.

If you tried what i mentioned and that didn't work then you can clean install stock rom and you can extract the backup on pc by using 7zip or compression tool and the reatore tbat using titanium backup pro. I haven't tried this ever but this ia what i was suggested by @nokiamodeln91

If your on sprint variant you can update to kitkat and root it with IOroot25 that's what i did. I'm also waiting for roms but not 4.2.2 roms im waiting for kitkat roms i don't see the point to be hype for JB roms when kitkat is out and as long as you can root kitkat that should be fine to hold you off until roms start popping out.

So if I flash this stock Rom will my phone accept the kk update or do I still need to unroot? I read something about needing to unroot but also read you can flash a stock Rom? Confused about the best way to take the kk update. I've just seen some people saying it's best to wait for a kk Rom and others say go ahead and update then root haha

Was finally able to download the zip file, is there anyway to get it on my device from Recovery? My Device is stuck in a boot loop but I can get the phone into recovery mode, but I believe the CWM on my device isn't working 100%, I can back up and restore if that helps, but when I restart the system, I get nothing but the LG Boot Logo.
Tried adb sideload, "device not found"
UPDATE: Somehow got sideload to cooperate but keep getting * failed to write data 'protocol fault <no status>' * get this at about 55-60%
Sideload gets to exactly 59% every time, then fails. Can I not sideload this Stock ROM?
