the temperatures you posted are normal and within operating range,

WHich Rom are you on by the way?

For what? Wasting bandwidth and time.
If you're connected to mobile data all day long, I used to charge twice a day also (especially on 3G network) on heavy usage. BUT if you're not, I'd suggest you to full wipe and start over. Recently I got 2-3 days of battery without data connected, some light game, several hour of music, calls and texts
edit: oh, also check if there's any application that make phone keeps awake although screen off. look in battery use in settings
hmm.. what does Android OS do? it seems eat my battery about 25%?

Dear All,
I've playing around with my fren's SGS2 and looking at the battery usage.. Seems like Display is taking 36-40% of his battery on the SGS2.. And cell standby on his phone is only using 6% of the battery..
On my OB, the display is only using 6% of the battery power and cell standby using 45%..
I was wondering whether is the cell standby taking up a big amount of the battery and causing my phone to run out of battery so often.. Althought the nova display is saving alot of power..
Just remember,it's on % not an exact point

can we flash the baseband?
Same problem here. I think it is a bug. There is no way that cell standby is consuming this much battery.
Sent from my LG-P970 using XDA App
what baseband ? sgs ?
Well it depends. If you leave your phone overnight its cell standby will be at a higher percentage than display, since the display wouldn't be used at all

Hi
I am using Zeus v1 rom and I have the same problem. At night with phone in standby, in about 8h it spends 10% or more. With everything of and in 2g and gsm.
I have the same problem when using the indian based official GB. My battery drained in 10 hrs of minimal use. no wifi or 3g just 2g service. I followed the instruction on flashing another GB update which is for V20b & v20n but did not succeed in wiping data & flashing superuser. I am still waiting for helpful guides from the seniors here.
With regards to the original posters comment you need to remember that the percentages that are posted when you go to the battery use in settings are a percentage of the battery used. The only way that the two handsets could really be compared is if they have both been used in the same way for the same amount of time.
How long are you getting out of a charge and how heavily do you use your phone will give a better indication of the standby usage in relations to your friends handset.
hi friends.
my note is installed with stock gb rom and speedmod 2-12 kernel. my battery is draining like water while browsing web in 3g. from 59% to 1% in just 2 hrs. recently i dropped my note on road. top left corner was scratched and few cracks in the glass of the display but display is pretty good.i didnt notice this much draining before. so i need to know is this normal? or else i damaged the antenna or any other parts of my note. i attached a battery usage graph for you. and one other thing i left my city after i dropped my note as i am on a business visit to mumbai. here i get h+ that is hspa but the download speed is only a max of 60KB in my place i used to get 1MB download speed. i am worried anything is gone in my note.????:-(
thnkx in advance
Well this is bad. Are you running any background apps?
Well note uses super amoled with huge 5.3" display which is bad for white pages and on the internet most of the pages are white so decrease brightness while using internet
And 3g consume more than wifi.....

Hey guys!!!
Here's my daily question
When I play for at least 45 minutes my phone starts overheating (special when it is charging) and it can reach 45 C and more which is annoying and terrifying
What do you usually do in order to keep the temperatures low?

If you are rooted check threads on Z2 section, there's great idea and solution for that (you'll need to undervolt your device)

Unfortunately you really can't keep them down all the way, the phone will heat up regardless, you're stressing the components by gaming, this will make them heat up.
You could try using lower clock speeds or not charging when gaming, strimming apps back, closing all unwanted / uneeded apps, lowering brightness, turning off wireless controls, taking a break more often, playing in a cold room, playing without a case.
Other than that theres not much else, maybe kernel control of the processors / GPU

My XZR also got warm during surfing the net. After upgrade to 4.4.4 the heating issue much more better. During surfing the net average cpu tempt 50*C. And during gaming the highest tempt was 65*C. You can download cpu tempt at Google play to monitor your cpu tempt.
