I had the problem too. Needed to factory reset, not restore anything, and the wifi tether for root app was working again.
Needs specific settings though. I'll share tomorrow sometime if someone else doesn't first. It's easier to paste from the pc.

If using the TrevE mod version...
Device Profile - Generic ICS/JB(wlan0)
Wifi Driver reload - checked

check also routing fix and mms clamping
and enable wifi encyption, might help too
now, this is not the native hotspot, this is for wifi tether for root users.on the market

As promised, the settings (sorry it took some time). These are settings using Wifi Tether TrevE mod
Device-Profile: Generic ICS/JB(wlan0)
Setup-Method: Auto
Fallback Tether: no
Send Netd Max Client Cmd: yes
WiFi-Encryption: yes
SSID: HTCONE
Channel: 01
Don't disable bluetooth: no
Wifi driver reload: no
Wifi driver reload 2: yes
LAN Network: 192.168.2.0/24
MSS Clamping: yes
Routing fix: yes

has anyone got the native hotspot working?? i thought it would be working over here for sure.. i just had the galaxy S4 sprint and every rom had the hotspot hacked it was sweet! is it harder on HTC phones to hack??

Why not just use Wifi tether?

Works perfect for me on cm nightly 7.21

They got the native working cuz they can't use the WiFi tether app.
We got a modified WiFi tether app to use.

I had it working at first, then after awhile it stopped working. Not sure why but a factory reset fixed it. Try that.

Anyway to get 3g when roaming?

Is there anyway I could get my phone to pick up 3g when in the roam only mode instead of 1x

It requires being rooted and using a modified version of EPST (or a custom ROM with it included, like Bad Boyz). Then you can use ##PRL# and your MSL to manually update your PRL with one that includes 3G roaming. Some searching around the site should fill in the details.

You need to download a PRL file and save it to your internal storage. There's a "PRL Archives" thread around with a bunch of them, and info on them.

You tried to connect with what? Nokia 3310? It doesn't have mobile data. More info please. What phone? Stock? Rooted? If rooted, what ROM?

Avobe signature makes me believe he is using an HTC One... :laugh:

Check your apn settings, must match with your carrier apn
settings --> mobile data --> Access point name ---> <apn of your carrier> ---> <check all info are correct, refer to your carrier website>

So, I'm using ARHD with Sense 6 (HTCdevs unlocked and S-ON) . My HTC One is an AT&T version. The problem was that I lost my data service on EDGE (2G) and I see a change in settings menu: "GSM/WCDMA/LTE Automatic" changed to "2G/3G/4G automatic". I would like to recover the mobile data and see the stock config. ( "GSM/WCDMA/LTE Automatic")
I was seeing the *#*#4636#*#* and I clicked "USA Bands" and more later "Automatic" for 2G/3G Frecuency Bands menu. :what:

T.V. app won't download list of devices.

Does anyone know why this may be or a fix for it? Phone is new out of the box and I updated the T.V. app.

Did you update the app in the Play Store? and is GPS on?

I have done both, yes. Going to try clearing the cache now.
