Full version is out on the market!
What are you doing go DL it already!
Left for history
============================================
Looks like its now working!
I'm using it on Vegan Ginger RC1.
Go grab the apk from the link below.
So far it looks really good,
Typing in landscape is easier, since the keys are much bigger than the stock one this rom comes with.
having arrows on screen is a big plus
And it has lots of symbols you can use by long pressing.
Speaking of long pressing you can change the time it takes to long press in the settings.
Will try post some pics later
Here is the site if you guys want to check it out for yourself.
http://thumb4beta.blogspot.com/
Known issues:
Long pressing on the settings key causes a FC.
Curious if thats the case with other roms
How did you get your keyboard to work with your tablet? I've tried several keyboards besides the one that came with my tablet and ROM (TnT Lite 4.2.5) and it won't even let me select the box to make it a choice.
Try unchecking any other input devices/kb from the settings. I had similar issues when i had other kb enabled

You have to move the Thumb Keyboard apk file from "data/app" to "system/app" via Root Explorer.
Then you reboot and go into your Market and longpress the search text box. You'll be prompted to choose your input method.
Im also testing the keyboard for the developer. So far so good. Always loved the paid version i bought.
I like the new layout though g tabbers will never get to enjoy the multi touch that it now supports (i think our hardware supports only 2 touch points).
Edit: Yes, long press on settings causes a force close on TNT Lite over here too. Reported to developer. I think its actually because he disabled the functionalities for other layouts.

Did the whole process again and it worked! Love it
I downloaded, installed, enabled in settings, and selected as the input method. So far it's working just fine. Haven't tested that extensively yet but for now it's pretty awesome.
What's the verdict on this so far? An improvement on the previous version?
Is voice recognition working?
Been using the paid version and it's great. However the voice to text doesn't work. Is that fixed in this version?
It doesn't? Think you need to activate it in settings. Works on my g tab.

Thanks for the help with getting the keyboards working. This is a nice keyboard.
Voice is working fine on my tablet.
I like this keyboard a bunch, hands down the best I've used on the tablet so far. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes out of Beta.
agree. Very very happy with it.
does this not do spelling or auto correct ?

I have not checked the voice part yet, but spelling and auto correct works fine.
Both the market version (3.0.2) and this version are constantly FCing for me / not working at all under CM7 and I'm pulling my hair out trying to understand why.
The more I use this keyboard the more I like it. I keep noticing things that are just well thought out and useful, like the long-press for smilies on the left space bar and .com (and long-press for .net and others) button. Even common fractions on the center-right number pad. Very cool, very useful, and definitely a keeper. It's been rock solid and stable under VEGAn 5.1.1. I'll definitely be buying a copy when the full version is released.
Please give complete paths. There are several data directories on my system but none contain an apps folder. My system folder does though. I installed it and it shows but i can't enable it. Runs fine with just a standard install on vegan ginger.
Any way to get stock ICS keyboard on an att vivid rom? The stuff in the market is sketchy
as of right now there isn't any way, however thumb keyboard is a fantastic substitute to the htc keyboard, or even perfect or swift key.
however thumb has been my favorite

I'm not trying to push a product its just that I've tried many different keyboards and this one has the most customization.

Im using Go Keyboard right now since its the most popular.
Hacker Keyboard is my favorite. It's very accurate, adjustable size, and loads of features.
Cool. Thanks. Let's hope we get stock ICS keyboard on this.

There is an "ICS Keyboard" in the market, both a free and paid version. Its actually one of my favorite keyboards simply because it's so responsive on my rather low end device. I switch around though, I keep Go Keyboard and Hacker's Keyboard for when I feel like switching things up.
I've used a LOT of keyboards on the market :-/

perfectly good ICS keyboards in market...i've been using the same one for 3 weeks.ICS Keyboard by Binary Bulge. the free one...
Installation Process
Question: is the installation process similar at all to the way you did it in the past? First install the keyboard, then go turn the keyboard on in settings, then go to a text input field and long-press and get settings, choose the newly installed keyboard? This is not working for me, I can install, and enable the keyboard, but I cannot find any way to switch my input method!
If you know the answer I'll thank your response
But seriously, thanks

Hey together,
couldn't find an answer and the official WhatsApp support wasn't much of a help either, so here's my problem:
I'm using a HTC One, all stock, WhatsApp+ v.3.58 and SwiftKey 4.1.1.146.
Whenever I type something and want to add an emoticon, the Emoji window doesn't "replace" the actual keyboard. It just comes on top, which takes away a lot of space, is very inconvenient and forces me to first use the back button in order to send my message. When I minimize the keyboard and then press the emoji button, the layout looks fine.
I have tried it with the normal WhatsApp, the stock keyboard and also various versions of the respective software.I attached two screenshots, one is how it looks after I typed, the other one how it's actually supposed to look.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Updatet SwiftKey to newest version. Same problem
I got the same problem.
I'm using a Nexus 4, tried both the original whatsapp and whatsapp plus.
Stock keyboard and Swiftkey, nothing seems to solve the problem...
Someone found out what's wrong?
I have the same issue with my Nexus 4 and HTC One too.
I've managed to solve the problem by disabling "Pie Control". Not sure if this helps.
Use the official app, when I remember right this doesn't work with WA+ or try to change the hight of the emoji area to the stock value

A little background. I finally got PA rom on my phone and realized that I needed GPS and I wanted some of the feature on PACman. After about 4 hours with PA, I flashed PACman.
1st, This rom is awesome. It's very quick and seems stable. I've had one restart since using it (about 24hours now). I love all the features but I have a few questions.
1. How do you change the pie colors? Can you change the colors of the items in the notification bar without applying a theme?
2. I'd like the items on the screen: browser, keyboard, etc... to be a bit bigger. How do I do this?
3. I did a Titanium backup before flashing, but it doesn't say I have anything to restore. There is an option to extract from a nandroid backup, but that's with the paid version. Before I buy, does that work?
4. I used the Moto Smartactions app a lot. Is there a way to get that back?
5. I use gmail mostly, but still use the 'email' app. I guess I'm used to the Moto 'email' app, is there a way to get that back?
6. To pickup 4G lte, what's the correct APN?
7. With PIE controls, how do you access Google Now?
I'm hoping for a bluetooth fix too. I can find devices but can't connect to them.
Well your Titanium backup must have been deleted when you did a system wipe or factory reset during the PACman installation. The best full backup in my opinion is going to be CWM (nandroid). I don't know the answers to your other questions since I never use those features
1. Go into Settings, Hybrid Properties, swipe right to open the sidebar, go to Interface, uncheck "Enable per app color" (unless you want that), and change the colors to your liking (I can't seem to get them to stick. The bottom 2 are for the status bar.)
2. By bigger do you mean the address bar and such? Turn the 2 sliders in the Interface tab (directions above) to the far right and make sure it says phone in the box above it.
3. If you made a nandroid backup before flashing PAC, restore that, change the Titanium backup location to your external SD card, backup, then restore the backup of PAC.
4. Use Tasker or Llama or a similar app.
5. Use the one from the Gapps zip that you flashed (you did flash Gapps, right?).
6. Use the "ATT Phone" APN that comes already activated with the ROM. The signal bars will show 0 when using 4G on any 4.2.2 ROM.
7. You don't.

1. That's what I was doing, but it doesn't stick for me either. I thought I was doing something wrong. Anyone know a fix ? @skeevydude ?
2. That's what I have my setting on, but it seems that, for example, when the keyboard comes up, it's much smaller than it used to be.
3. Ok, that was probably my problem, I should have backed it up to the SD. When you restore from TB, would it bring back all my text/other data?
4. I've heard Tasker is good, but I'll miss Smartaction
5. I did flash GApps, from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314604
6. That's what I'm on now, working good :good:
7. No way to access G now? I actually got used to using it to send text etc... when I'm in the car.
Example for #2, screen size. Here's a photo of my email. Everything seems so much smaller than it did on stock. Maybe my eyes are going bad.
You can access Google with the navigation ring or setting it as a long press on pie I believe.

Thanks for everyone's help.
I use Nova prime, so I used the swipe up gesture to access Google Now, works fine, problem solved
I made sure I was in stock phone UI, the keyboard is still small. I'll check around the swype keyboard options.
I changed the settings for Nova in the quick settings menu to 720p and adjust the size manually. This helps alot, but I have to do this for each app. I wish I could set it at one standard across the board.
I still can't seem to get the keyboard any bigger.
On that note. The ATT AHD had swype keyboard on it stock. Is there a way to get that back. I purchased swype for my Nexus 10, but I like the stock AHD version better because it doesn't have that 'dragon' feature. Is there a way to extract that keyboard from the stock version?

yeah just download the stock files of I remember correctly a link to them can by found in skeevydudes fastboot thread in general
it will be under system/apps
I looked, but didn't see it, maybe I over looked it. @skeevydude, have a link to stock apps? I'd like to get the stock swype keyboard if possible.

From Stock JB ATT.
@skeevydude, Thanks a ton! Unfortunately, it didn't work. It installed but once I enabled it as the default keyboard I continually get a popup message saying Swype has stopped. Oh well, I still have the newer version, just really don't like that Dragon feature...it's overkill.

Try pushing or copying to /system and set the permissions the same as the other apps (644,rw-r-r). That was a system app. And uninstall any and all traces of swipe before doing this.
A few other questions (I don't want to whore up the PAC rom thread)
It may be a setting, but when I open most apps (chrome, play store, etc...) there is a bar of either color or white between the status bar and the window. I can't figure out how to get rid of that.
Also, on the pro version of ROM toolbox: Does the boot animation installer work on this phone?
@skeevydude,
Here's a screenshot of what I meant in the last post. The line between the Now header and the status bar. It is like this on nearly all apps. It's not a big deal, but I didn't know if there is a setting I'm missing to fix this.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for bad things that happen as a result of flashing this.
Prereqs:
- Use kitkat recovery (i.e. CWM)
- Must have unlocked bootloader
Doesn't Work:
- Google Camera (Stock camera works)
- Probably other things (haven't had a chance to test everything)

Awesome!
Will give'er a go, once I've backed up my current setup. Thank you.
Update: Clean Install, wiped everything. During setup the keyboard doesn't pop-up, so just skip through setup until finished. Then go to settings, then Language & Input. Select "Current Keyboard" and throw the switch in the upper right corner and the keyboard will auto pop up when in an input box.
This is nice. I like the look of it. Will update more later as I explore, But so far its looking great!

Looking good. For those who want to know, the s-pen does work but not the same as when using touchwiz. Also, shows a mouse pointer on screen when using it. A little startling at first but I kind of like being able to seen where the point is going to touch down.

Bugs
I've discovered that Netflix doesn't work. When trying to play a video, it just sticks on "Loading."
Some googling has revealed that this is pretty common with CM12 builds, although it seems to slowly be getting fixed.
I see this in my logcat:
Code:
12-14 00:05:16.683 W/ResourceType(2381): No package identifier when getting value for resource number 0x00000000
12-14 00:05:16.683 W/PackageManager(2381): Failure retrieving resources for com.netflix.mediaclient: Resource ID #0x0
Hope this helps!
EDIT:
Google Play Movies suffers from the same issue.
Code:
12-14 00:32:46.588 W/PackageManager(2381): Failure retrieving resources for com.google.android.videos: Resource ID #0x0
MX Player plays videos fine though. I suspect because it relies on its own libraries/codecs, rather than the built-in ones.
ROM is good. Moving applications to the memory card again is impossible.
Is there any chance to repair this error?
Stop brining up this folder mount app2sd stuff until the day the dev for those apps make proper lollipop update as far as I've heard lollipop fixed a large amount of sd card access.
Back on topic as app2sd function is offtopic due to kitkat breaking it like a bad habit....
Besides the lack of soft keyboard when starting up pleasantly pleased by the tablets performance.
sofar though seams a slight drop in fps in ppspp compared to kitkat guess thats just still fine tuning the mali gpu drivers for lollipop
double adaptive display in display settings one up top an one on the bottom... a little confusing but ok.
No option to remove cursor as I can tell for when using s pen an some apps that bring some of the spen like function back say no multitouch found.... Guess that is also a issue with just getting the drivers for the wacom digitizer ported over.
Overall two thumbs up for updating our device faster then samsung would have if they felt like it!
Yes I am requesting the ROM for 5100
