Oh.. Sure my friend, happy to be the first man, but may not try it now.. I will just download it and use it once needed, as I have already debloated those apps...
Any chance this might be doable for the Droid Mini? I'm assuming (yeah, I know) that if done it would be flashable on a current Mini with 4.4 (locked bootloader/unrooted) since it's still considered a "stock" 4.4. ROM?
Since the Mini only has 16GB (about 11GB usable at best) every little bit helps...

How would you flash it with a locked bootloader and no root? You can't flash in stock recovery.
RSD Lite, perhaps? Honestly I didn't think about it at the time I made the post, having a "senior moment" I guess. Getting sick of flashing anything, actually.

this is intended to flash it on custom recovery with obvious rooted and unlocked bootloader, not on rsd lite.
i really wish you can flash it on a locked device.
Jaocagomez, are you using this ROM now? How much is the storage used by AndroidOS in "Settings->Storage". My phone is using 6.52GB, even its de-bloated (So I have converted many apps to system app to use the FREE debloated space). If yours is showing less usage (it must be) and you are NOT having any issues (even using as daily driver), then its one of the best stock based ROMs available here, imho.
Thanks...

The system partition is what it is. You can't adjust that. The 6.52GB is the same across all stock roms.
Dear akellar, Thanks for the info...
@ OP
Whether OTA is blocked in this ROM? I mean sir, have you removed MotorolaOTA or one such app too? As OTA will fail in this ROM right?
Thanks for this ROM, as it will save lots of time debloating, when we have to flash a stock 4.4 ROM.

i didnt remove motorolaOTA from the apk's but i think it wouldnt work. if a new android version comes out i'll just debloat it as i already have everything setted up.
A system update will fail using this because it is debloated you will have to fxz to get the bloat back and take update
^^^^
Yes. To get OTA, we have to return to stock using rsdlite. and get ota.
Though OTA installation will fail, there is a chance to download the OTA, if we are less careful - which may lead to consumption of data. Thats why I have asked so.
May I request OP to remove MotorolaOTA apk files too in the next iteration (say for 4.4.2 or 4.4.3 in future), if its not going to be a tedious job. Hats off to you sir for your nice efforts. Sorry, if I said anything wrong or asked too much...

Sorry for the noob sounding question, but what recovery would you recommend for this almost stock rom?
I have tried CWM - 6.26.6~ which was modified by another dev -
but it would not load this rom just got stuck in a boot loop -
did work with Cyanogen so not sure what the difference was, but they do not have a stable build for my
Moto Maxx Dev edition -
Any better suggestions for the recovery?
Thanks,
I am looking forward to a debloated 4.4 rom -

Very stable and a great alternative to those who want a pre rooted GB Rom with many useful Apps.
Just one thing i forgot to mention... live wallpapers are not supported so to maximize battery.
looks good .....
does this rom has updated graphic drivers ....
can you post some benchmarks like nenamark2 and quadrant ....
No updated driver as far as i can see, feel free to benchmark yr own X6 though.
Somehow this Rom fixed my crazy screen axis reversal issue i was having on this X6 so im happy.
Im still to try tonight on my other X6 the Apanda101 stock rom and Huawei's U9000 V2.610 Rom, which was the last official Rom they made for our unit.
cheers
Is it possible to get original thread for this ROM

The Apanda 101 Stock 2.3.5 Rom installed fine, pitty the screen was unresponsive!? Hrmm.. i thought they were internally the same, maybe it has different hardware?.
Didnt get round to installing the last official Huawei Rom, will give it a go later tonight.
Anyone want the Apanda 101 Rom to try for themselves just ask, it was a ***** to source and then extract from the .msi

you can bro ..... flash it through CWM and enjoy.
Some inbuilt apps like night time, uber music, I love them. Everything works fine. Even games runs very smothly
In an all its good ROM like RC2 with some optimized functionality
do you need patched boot.img ?
What is patched in boot.img? Android commander is just like a frontend for adb you just need debugging mode on in your device as afaik. Then it works with all the roms.

I mean.. one of my WellcoM A99 X6 had the crazy screen reverse axis issue and ??somehow?? this rom made the issue go away. No Rom's have the issue my phone has the issue. Its not the first WellcoM A99 X6 that ive had that has the issue either, I previously purchased another WellcoM A99 X6 which had the issue and i returned it to Thailand within the warranty period for a replacement. Unfortunately and more bizarrely this particular X6 acquired the issue after the warranty had expired so i had to live with it.
EVERY other Rom ive tried on this X6 eventually over a space of a week from fresh install resulted in me not being able to use the phone. Simply unlocking the phone from sleep was a nightmare it wasn't letting me drag the unlock all the way to the right, and wanted to do the opposite which is put the phone on silent.

geezus its a RUSSIAN Rom! hense the U9000RU, there will be no "fix" for the English. It has English as Androids main language to choose from when first booting and configuring android. Some apps like SETCPU are only in Russian.. these apps in their full form are readily available to replace from the interwebz
Here is an almost stock 1.29.651.10 ROM, both Odex and Deodex, based on my Sprint One system dump (I RUU'd, took ota, HTCDev unlocked, TWRP, dd'd /system). I flashed both and everything appears to work fine. If anyone finds an issue, I will correct it and re-upload. Would downloading the odex version of this and flashing over stock rooted be the best way to get the OTA updates, without having to set our apps gmail, etc. up again, or will there be a recovery flashable .zip in your opinion, that will do the trick?

This is a flashable .zip for recovery. You could dirty flash, but I never do. I use Titanium Backup to backup everything, full wipe, flash new base, set up accounts again, restore apps and data.
Yes, thanks, I know that is the preferred method. I guess I am just looking for a flashable .zip of the the OTA that will just update the stock with the new files, so that it still shows stock in about phone, etc. and is as close to stock as possible while rooted and able to add most of the goodies...LOL.
I guess I should just flash the new base using TiB as you said, and let my staying with rooted Sprint Stock obsession go...I mean, I've already installed MoDaCo to get rid of the darned menu bar!
Thanks again for all your hard work and patient answers...When my clients finally pay me for last month's work, I'll be sending a beer or two your way!
So wiping and flashing this is equivalent to taking the ota??? Or is ruu than take ota than root again than flash the way to do it???? I just wanna go the best possible way. Thanks

I see what you're asking. The issue there is that it shows every apk and framework file is different from the last base because the version numbers were bumped. I'm not going to go through almost 300 files to see if it was just the version numbers that changed if you dirty flash this (no /data wipe), that would be like taking the OTA but I can't promise that it will work properly.

Just out of curiosity, what is the order you're recommending here? Are you meaning wipe System, flash, wipe data or wip data, wipe system, mount, move ROM over PC, then flash it? I'm not quite sure what is the order of everything you're recommending.
Also, I had flashed CM10 to try it out and it borked my file structure. Will this cleaning fix that issue?

Kernel was updated, baseband I'm not sure. I did the RUU and then the OTA, so it would have flashed any firmware (stock ROMs intentionally do not touch firmware) but mine says 1.00.20.0315 for baseband.

Mine is same as yours, so appears no baseband update. Thanks, bro. Appreciate your work too!
-viperboy- said:
Kernel was updated, baseband I'm not sure. I did the RUU and then the OTA, so it would have flashed any firmware (stock ROMs intentionally do not touch firmware) but mine says 1.00.20.0315 for baseband.

No bugs. It has tmobile support for your data. Its for the vs980 Verizon.
I know it had nothing to do with your ROM but I can't stand lg's stock notifications. I'm running the stock version lollipop you released, the zip one. My question is, can you help me find a way to reduce the clutter in the status bar?

This is what I'm dealing with for baseline.... Usually there are some more notifications to deal with. I hate the am/pm, NFC, vibrate, and I only want the % battery... What could I do to achieve this? Thanks in advance, I don't know how involved your answer will be but if it includes programming knowledge you don't need to waste your time, it'll go right over my head.

I suggest you install Xposed for lolipop, and use the G3 tweakbox 1.4 beta 2.

That was my first thought but when installing xposed I ran into force closes that halted the start up. I read that by freezing the smart cover and weather apps this would fix that. Is that still the case for this version of stock LP?
Also you recommended the G3 tweak box, can I assume that wasn't a mistype of G2? I have used it in thee past while on G3 Roms but didn't know it could possibly work on the G2.

It wasn't a mistype (make sure you use the G3 1.4 beta 2 in p_toti's thread). Yes, freeze those 3 apps, or remove them.

Thanks a lot! I would have never thought to use the g3 tweaksbox, and gravity box is a little wonky on lg stock Roms.
How did you guys install the framework? I tried and got this (see screenie).
I flashed the xposed zip file first and then installed the app as was instructed....but the framework won't install..... Lg g2 arm-v7a is compatable correct?
This is my first dive into a stock lollipop ROM, so please forgive me if I missed anything.
Edit...ok, I had both apps on my phone....I installed the Right one now....but it's saying. I can only install by flashing....what does that mean ?
Edit #2: I guess my screenshot below shows that it is in fact working? I installed G3Tweaksbox beta but a warning pops up whenever I open it stating framework is not installed?
Love this ROM BTW.
Hotspot
Anyone else have issues with Mobil Hotspot with this ROM? I can't get mine to turn on. After I turn it in, the off/on button turns to blue, but my other devices cannot access it. Also, I can't turn it off without restarting the phone.
How can i install this mod?
Hey guys.
G2 is my new phone from now on. I'd like to install this mod by Micro.
I'm on 24A, Vzw Software Assistant can't detect my phone, so i can't upgrade to 27A
Could someone be very patient and tell me step by step how can i install this mod?
Should i:
1. root using Stump root,
2. Autorec,
3. flash TWRP from blastagator
4. flash 27a bootstack
5. flash Micro's mod.
Is that correct order?
Thank you!

Are you stock? If you are, that's correct order. If not stock and already have twrp, just flash my 27a bootstack and full wipe and flash rom. I would also download 24a bootstack and put in internal memory and do a backup first just in case you want to restore back to 24a.

Same.
Edit: Just reflashed XDABBEB's mod, and all is well. (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934540692)
Are there any kernel tweaks to this rom? Im on xdabbeb's 39a and overall it's stout, battery life is decent but it definitely needs some de-stockifocation of the stock kernel.
Looking at the features list, I'm not seeing a big depature from the ota . what am I missing?
Anyone having issues with Titanium Backup? I can't get it to create a backup directory nor can I do it manually. Known issue? Thanks
Storage
Flashed this Rom today and have lost storage. In my root explorer I have sdcard and storage and they seems to have the same files. But when I try to download language package for swiftkey it tells me It cannot save to storage. Also my pictures are not showing in the gallery.

Were u on a custom aosp or cm rom? Those jacked up my storage. Look for an O folder.
Hey Everyone! I'm proud to present to you the first custom rom for the Xperia Z3V. I've been hard at work on this for almost a month now, ever since purchasing my Xperia Z3V. I realize we have limitations due to our locked bootloaders, but I was surprised to see I was alone in the development world for this device. I'm not sure if we are going to receive a Lollipop OTA ever, so I decided to cook up a ROM that looked like Lollipop. I'd like to give a huge thank you and shoutout to @GigaSPX for test driving an early build of this.
ROM Features:
Stock Based Rom from firmware 23.0.E.1.44
Deodexed
Heavily Debloated
Lollipop Themed
Brighter Flashlight
Mobile Hotspot Hack
Sound Mods
Increased Battery Life
Kitkat SD Write Fix [Allows 3rd Party Apps To Write To SD]
Added FM Radio and stock Xperia Browser Apps that Verizon left out. [Use Earphones on FM Radio app for best results!!)
Future builds may include init.d support and stagefright patches. I had an earlier build of this with these installed and it seemed to cause a battery drain issue as well as impair the sound quality.
Prerequisites:
You must be rooted and running either build of Kitkat 4.4.4.
You must have the XZ Dual Recovery Installed. http://nut.xperia-files.com/
Reboot into TWRP. Make a backup!
Wipe System, Data, Cache, and Dalvik.
Install the ROM.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think... and say thank you!
For ROOT ACCESS, You must flash Chainfire's latest SuperSU flashable found here Latest SuperSU after the ROM installation.
Thank you to @zohaib0001 for the sound mods!! Original Thread
If you want louder headset volume, flash this after flashing rom. Louder Headset
To remove ALL sound mods and replace stock files, flash this. Restore Stock Sound

Works just fine if you flash not on .44, but it didn't keep root. Is this because of not being on .44?

I have no idea. That's odd! I am not surprised that it works for the older firmware since there is no kernel flashing, but I'm gonna reflash it on both firmwares and make sure root is ok. In the meantime though, it's no big deal just flash this in TWRP to get root http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Ok, root issue is my fault. Rom isn't pre-rooted, but Original Post updated with easy root fix. For those who prefer KingRoot, the latest KingRoot apk would also root you quickly. Thank you @wellwhy for calling this to my attention! This is the kind of feedback I'm needing. Is everything working correctly for everyone? Are you guys enjoying the ROM so far? Keep me posted with your thoughts!! Thank you guys.

Yeah, works great. FM radio worked fine, and it seems stable throughout. Flashlight is definitely a lot brighter too. Only tiny dispute is I don't think the lollipop keys lit up blue, but that's just a small fuss that doesn't really matter. Nice work so far. Maybe you can somehow figure a way to get lollipop on this thing.
Hi, thanks you for your ROM, question: working in D6603? thnks.
You cook up rom to look like Lollipop, it says on your post...
First thing to look like lollipop it's status bar. I just recommend you to edit status bar look. No hate man
So far, so clean, but I'm having a couple of issues.
I can't add cards to Android Pay, even after disabling SuperSU and using rootcloak. Also, I'm using the 5.3.19.19 Google app, which worked perfectly fine before flashing this rom, but now crashes every time I use the Google search bar on the GEL. Oh, and I can't access Developer options because it crashes every time I select it in the settings. And one last thing: since the Ron is deodexed, can ART be turned on? Other that that, this rom is very clean and I really appreciate your developmental work, man! Thanks!

I recommend you flashing a rom that's actually made for the D6603. The international variant offers a lot more variety, options, and support than what we have here with the D6708.

Did you do the full wipe of system, data, cache, and dalvik? If you did, did you restore data from an old backup on top of this rom? The only reason I ask is because the google app version in this rom is not 5.3.19.19, and the latest update from the play store is 5.2.19.19. Your issues seem to be stemming from a residual data conflict it sounds like.
Also there is no option to switch runtimes in Xperia Handsets on KitKat. We've never had that option, and we never will until and if we get lollipop. There's no libart.so file im system/lib, so sorry for now it's dalvik only...

I wiped cache and dalvik, but forgot to wipe system and didn't touch data. When I get the time, I'll TiBu my app data and go for a clean flash. Also, I got 5.3.19.19 from Android Police. It remained installed after I flashed this rom over stock, but after I noticed the search issues I uninstalled and reinstalled it and got the same problem. I'm sure a clean flash will solve it. And that's a bummer about the runtime, but I figured as much. Thanks for your time, Zach!

I think you will hard to port quick settings... I just mean for signal icons, battery icon ... not notification panel.
I had a problem after flashing that when someone would call me and I would put them on speakerphone they would hear a really bad echo of themselves, bad enough that I had 3 different people mention it to me. I figured this might have been related to the sound mods included in the rom so I flashed the restore stock sounds zip and the problem seems to have been fixed although I've only been able to test with one person. I would like to see if anyone else could replicate the problem
Hello if you own an LG G Pad 7.0 v400 and for some reason you didn't get an lollipop update or you coming back from a x ROM and want to flash
lollipop immediately instead of downgrading to KK and then updating it I have a KDZ for you.
*Due to locked bootloader on 5.0.2 you can only root it, flashing custom recovery will brick your device.

Actually it might be due to locked bootloader on 5.0.2, tried flash something via Flashfire but it says it cannot overwrite anything over existing data, or simply just says flashing was successful and boots LG's soft..
Maybe we could make something in the future. I'll keep trying and thinking.
Thank you for your work
Just to be clear I have some questions :
1 - Will I be able to flash KitKat KDZ over any ROM via this guide? (Can I downgrade from Lollipop?)
2 - This should help me after downgrading to root then install TWRP and then basically any ROM I need.. right?
3 - I heard about some devices (v410 specifically) when downgrading.. It makes the internal storage only 4 GB.. Do we have this issue on any of our KDZ on v400?
4 - and only two last questions that are unrelated to the topic (sorry)
Does this tablet support OTG?
And when installing CM12.1 can I have OTG (if supported) and IR working?
Thanks again for your time.. Have fun making our LG tablets better
Kindly press thanks if I helped

1 - Yes you can, when I was making this guide I was downgrading to the stock 5.0.2 (the one in the guide) from cm13 android 6.0.1. When you downgrade it to either KitKat or Lollipop (KDZ) from any ROM it will bootloop, you need to factory reset it manually and you're ready to go! It is the same for downgrading it from this 5.0.2 kdz to Kitkat. If you anyway want to downgrade it straight to KitKat just use V40010c kdz instead, it is available from a while..
2 - Unfortunately Lollipop 5.0.2 in this device has a locked bootloader what means you can't do anything, anything except root (same method as on 4.4.2 confirmed working) but that's basically all. If you want to flash the ROM as I do you have to downgrade it straight to KitKat, root it, flash recovery via app like flashify ( for some reason it does not support fastboot ) and then flash the ROM.
3 - I'm not actually sure what you mean but in this tablet (doesn't matter what ROM or firmware you're running) you'll always have 4GB of memory for your usage. partition is divided into two: 4GB of memory for you and 4GB is taken by the system. I'm pretty sure cyanogenmod needs less space but I never tried messing up with my tablets data partition. I think it is possible though but I just don't recommend it, high risk of literally breaking your tablet. I tried to extend data partition on RemixOS, I did something wrong and it never boot up. Tablet is not a memory stick, you can't just format everything.
4 - Yes, it does support OTG, confirmed working on firmware 5.0.2, CM12.1 snapshot, EuphoriaOS and CM13. Doesn't work in the recovery. And about IR blaster - Simply no, cm and other ROMs are almost stock android that doesn't even know what IR blaster is and any LG APP cannot be installed on different source code than their's.
Thank you so much for your explanation.. When I meant 4 GB.. I mean 2 or even less available for user.. The default in this device is 8 GB.. 4 GB for user.. But it seems like there's definitely no issue at all when installing ROMs and moving between them.. Thanks again..

I think you didn't my video's description properly, 5.0.2 has locked bootloader so you have to return to kitkat to flash the recovery. You can revert to kitkat by following this tutorial with the exception of using this kdz file: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW975106432109876543213/V40010c_00.kdz

Which kdz? 5.0.2 or 4.4.2? For 5.0.2 use Androidfileshost link from first post, for 4.4.2 use the link from the post you have quoted. It does work, download starts automaticly

Thanks man, I don't know why my Google Chrome shows a blank page and don't start download so I used a download manager and it's downloading.
Last question, can I use this KDZ (4.4.2 V40010c) on my tablet (V40020b)?
