You didn't post any pictures? Anyway, to use different lockscreen other than the stock ones, you'd have to use a third party app or maybe be on a cm/aosp rom

I don't quite understand you here. Could you explain better what type of lock screen you want? Maybe link the image or something

Hi everyone xD
I have like three months with my g1 and would like to use a custom ROM but i have some doubts that would like to clear:
Wich is the most stable and fluid firmware for the g1 now?
Could i finally be able to send and receive files on bluetooth(i currently can just SEND, and only to some devices D?

The rom I'm using right now includes auto-correct for spelling, I suggest you try it
I have no idea what he is using, but right now I am using OpenEclair, and I am very happy with it.
1. CyanogenMod / SuperD are probably your best bets.
2. Yes, you can send AND receive with Bluetooth.
3. Yes, you need root.

Oh, and if you look at the top of your screen, under the "Welcome, YOURNAME", there is a button that says "search". If you click it, and type in words, it will give you answers.
Or if that doesn't work, there is always Google.....I know, this must be way out in left field for you, and I'm probably the first person ever in your life to tell you to Google something.

To get normal screen size change in startup.txt all lcd.density to 240, not 160.
I'm not sure if the xd guys have build their image with support for anything other than US English.

in fact, no.
I could build a system image for other languages but you would lose all the cool stuff they have done to customize it. I would recommend asking very nicely in the xdandroid 2.2 thread in the Raphael forum.

I have searched on XDA and googled it but not found method to REMOVE lockscreen not DISABLE it.
I might have missed out some results so dont rage about it like use search button......
There are many methods to disable it..... I want to know how to remove it from the rom itself... Any help appreciated :good:
There's an option to disable lockscreen in ICS about gb and froyo I don't know.

If you're on ICS or JB, go into settings > Security and select to Screen Lock to NONE

GB in cyanogen mod settings>tablet tweaks> disable lockscreen

what i want to do is remove the lockscreen of the rom and put another one in....... i can install another lockscreen app but that is not what i want... i i wanted to delete the froyopro lockscreen and put in win 7 lockscreen... like integrate in the rom itself...for my personal use... rohinzaraki you make roms you can suggest a simple way?

GO TO THE PHONE AND THEN LONG PRESS ANY NUMBER AND THE SPEED DAIL LOG WILL APPEAR THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO CONFIG. IT

I don't think you can add traditional speed-dials to dialling keys by long-pressing - it doesn't work for me - but surely "Starred Contacts" (one swipe to the right of the dialler) makes speed dial redundant? If you want one-touch dialling to specific numbers, you can always add direct dial shortcuts to your homescreen or in a folder via Homescreen Longpress>Apps>Shortcuts>Direct dial.

it is there, but sony disabled it for some reason. if you have root, i can make a modified phonebook.apk with speeddialing enabled. just need the original apk as mine is modified to support a non-standard dpi and may not work propperly for you...

Do you mean this function? I have access to it by opening phone.apk and long press on a number or by going to settings in phone.apk

For some ppl this is disabled inside the phonebook.apk (that is the one responsible for the dialer, semcphone.apk comes in after you push the green 'dial' button).
Anyways, if this is still important to the OP and others, pls post the phonebook.apk from system/app and i will uplode a mod of it with the enabled speeddial thing, it will take under 10 mins to do =)

is there a problem getting root? since it is availble for locked bootloaders, afaik you risk nothing - you can root and unroot and even being rooted does not brek anything including the BE2 and ota / sony upd tool updates

This happen to me all the time when another app on the phone go in conflict with the one I try to install. This happen most with two version of the same app, you have to uninstall the first one to install the second one but if is not like that I don't know why.
You don't need someone to port it as Sony added it to Z1 in android 4.3 (14.2.A.0.290).

I see, then you should root. You will just benefit from that. Otherwise I think will be close to impossible to "convert" the app.

I told you, you don't need to port the keyboard as Sony added it to z1 in 4.3 (you said that you want it for the one-handed writing)

What I need the mainly is not the one hand keyboard, as I have already exist in [email protected] android 4.3, however the things I want is not just a single hand typing keyboard, what I need is the hand writing method on Z Ultra
