S-Health keeps popping up - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

After every call ended, S-Health pops up, after unplugging headphones S-Health pops up, and sometimes varies with other apps when exiting them or doing whatever... wtf. Thought it was me but two buddies with new S5 as well said the same thing. Any way to disable this, I don't even use it and not signed into it. Useless to me, I keep my workout sched for different days in Evernote anway. Praying to the root gods something is figured out to get rid of this bloatware.

Go to settings/application manager and find s health in the All tab. Uninstall updates first, and then hit "turn off".

Thanks. Went through and pretty much did the same for every AT&T and Sammy app showing.

It doesn't remove the apps, but at least it prevents them from running services in the background.

Same issue
I've had this same problem on my S7. I 'Disable' the app and it asks me if I would like to restore it to the factory version to which I say 'yes'. Then at the next update it reinstalls the latest updates and it all happens again. I'm not very tech-savvy so am hoping someone can help. I've now removed all permissions and blocked notifications on the app settings so fingers crossed it stops happening.

Watch on in notification bar

Ok this is driving me crazy, randomly the app watch on will pop up in my notification bar. I disable it and it will just pop up again at a random time. Does anyone know how to permanently remove? besides freezing it of course

This just started happening to me the other day. I don't understand why because it hasn't done it before. I too disabled the notification and it automatically turns itself back on. I cleared the data and started over but that did not help. I froze the app with tbu a little bit ago because I rarely use it. It is frustrating because that is one of the only Samsung apps that I like. I too would like to know of a fix for it.

holllly cow. I have been battling this for 3 days now. I thought it was just my phone being supper glitchy. I have gone as far as to uninstall the app... witch will stop it from comming up in the notification bar. Then i re download it from play store. After about 4 reboots it comes back. I will set it in the setting to not come on in notification pannel. Boom its back. No way to stop it..... same with a few other apps. Its like they do not close the correct way and do not save the settings. My swannview dvr app is one more that wont save settings because it won't close correctly.
I don't know if this narrows it down but I noticed when I had wifi turned off I never got it but the second I turned it back on it started popping up again.
I have the same problem. This morning, while trying to disable the notification bar setting again, I got nag popup about allowing Watchon to use mobile data or only wifi. I selected the allow mobile data option and do not ask me again. Now, I can't find the setting to change it back to see if that would affect the notification bar problem. I don't want to test all of the settings because I would lose the devices that I have setup. I assume the problem is caused by an update to Watchon. The only thing I have changed recently us switching to Nova Launcher. Could this be related?

Judging by this I would assume it is the location settings that is triggering this. Try to go to system settings > More > Location services > My places > Choose the places and click none. I can't confirm this works, but it seems that this is triggering for the problem. Also note this isn't a great solution; other location services may be affected with this change.
This is caused by the latest WatchOn update.
I use WatchOn since the day I get my S4 Active (2 months ago) and this NEVER HAPPENED before the update.
I had to disable WatchOn with TB.
Another example of Samsung messing up good stuff!

It has nothing to do with location services. All of mine were already set to none, and I have the same problem.

Sorry then, it must have been the WatchON lock screen location settings I was thinking of. No clue, honestly.
So did this ever get worked out? I just got the note 3 and am already seeing this behavior.
SOLUTION!..
Here is how i disabled remote control on notification panel and lock screen.
Its on Watchon Settings.
watch work done
This is what I did:
Settings
More
Application Manger
Samsung WatchOn
Remove the check for "Show Notifications"
This doesn't stop the program from starting on powerup, but it removes it from the notifications.
This is a thread that should be closed. The problem was fixed by an update. I can confirm that it did exist at one time, but the only people that still have thre problem either have not updated or they have not changed their settings.

Shealth pedometer.

When i had just received my phone i tried the the pedometer for a day and then stopped it. A week later it keeps beeping and alerting me that I haven't used it in week. I tried to find a way to disable the notifications in the settings but that section was grayed out.
Is there any way to stop the notifications without disabling shealth?

Try going to phone settings > Application Management and locate S-Health and Clear Data/Clear Cache.

[Q] Phone vibrates random

Hi guys,
I am having some problem.
Since a few weeks my phone vibrates random and I do not how to disable it. I turned vibration off in settings and in other apps. And the phone vibrates when I don't recieve any notifications. When I put it on the table for charging it stoppes after a while.
It is very annoying for me. If there is a method for completely stopping the vibration motor let me know.
Thanks.

Such vibration must cause an application. Remind yourself what you installed a few weeks ago.
Thanks. I tried to see some app settings and turned it off. The problem is that I don't see any notifications at all. I even installed the Xposed App, 'Less Frequent Notifier', but it doesn't work. And it is very hard to find the toxic app, because I have about 400~500 installed apps.
Is there some system log file where I can see which apps send the command to vibrate?

Install "Wakelock Detector" on your device. Once you sense a vibration, open the app and look for an app that uses the phone vibrator. You might want to try to get accurate information, as the app doesn't offer sorting based on time of trigger.
To get an accurate information, you can have the phone randomly vibrates for a day, and then open the WLD app and find the app responsible for vibrating.
An example is attached.
OR
You can use the App Ops. once you feel a vibration, quickly go to your App Ops, get to the "Device" tab (or section...) and choose the corresponding app that you suspect vibrating your phone. The apps listed there are sorted from recent permission trigger (or usage). So all you need to check is the top part of the list.

Freeze/Defrost

Using titanium, I keep freezing the stick messaging app because I prefer, and use textra. But somehow it keeps getting defrosted. Anyone know where this would be happening? I have a bunch of other things frozen, but none of them defrost on their own. It's happened numerous times, I can't figure it out.

I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I recently learned it doesn't hide whatever you're freezing from the OS completely... if you go into the play store for the app it will have an "enable" button. So I'm assuming it just does whatever the system does when you go to about apps and disable them from there.
I would just hide it from your launcher. It is needed for any messaging app to function properly, so tibu won't freeze it

Delayed notifications after upgrade to Android 8

I have a tmobile note 8 and ever since I upgraded to Android 8, push notifications are coming in delayed and all at once at random times. Take outlook for example, an hour might go by and then all of a sudden dozens of notifications hit all at once. I checked if maybe battery settings were messing with outlook but it is not blocked and my phone is in performance mode. Seems like my phone is going into a deep sleep and not doing push notifications as they come in. Any idea what is happening?
Same thing happened to mind after update. But seems to be resolved now. I think I went into Apps then pressed the three dots in the up right corner and chose reset app preferences. I also messed about in the notification menu somewhat prior to that.

Factory reset. A good practice after a major software update.

Disable the GOOGLE app in app manager. It should ask you if you want to go back to the factory app. Just agree to this. This is assuming you checked to make sure Battery Manager wasn't turning off your app or the data saver wasn't killing your app data access. If you have done these things and your app notification is still delayed it is being caused by the GOOGLE app. Listed as "Google" in app manager. Hope this helps someone else.
UPDATE: I should have mentioned for a permanent solution and to allow you to continue using the GOOGLE app you can go to the Google Play Store, find the installed GOOGLE app, click uninstall to revert to the factory GOOGLE app, once uninstalled click the three dots at the top right and Uncheck the Auto Updates to the GOOGLE app. This will allow you to retain the factory app functions and should resolve this notification issue at the same time.
