Hi.
I didn't find where to share it so people can try it and give feedback or whatever...so I created this thread. I compiled franco kernel with the updated code for the wifi driver (same thing that was done here).
It also modifies libs and config files so do a nandroid backup in case you don't want to use it anymore (use any other kernel...including the original franco kernel) ... or you can use (you have to use[/B]) this to revert to stock driver and pure franco #134 kernel.
Anyway... flashable zip in attached files
Source is here
I just wanted to help so be cool.
And credit to the people that deserved it.... you know who..
Well since the wifi problem is fixed (I think)... I'm just sharing my personal build of franco kernel...it's franco kernel+faux sound+faux gamma control.
Enjoy
What version (date) of the Prima Driver does this Kernel Contain? BTW, currently testing
Just as a heads up I'm using jszaq 's motley version and it's not missed a beat in weeks. It's so awesome not to have to worry about missed notifications on WiFi, after waiting so long for crappy Google to fix it.

It works for me too... But I read motley's thread and apparently doesn't work for everybody... I hope that it works for most of the people so franco will include it officially.. But since it uses libs and other config besides the kernel I don't think he will

Since it changes libs and other stuff you can't just simply flash a new kernel. Have to restore from a backup.
Edit: Forgot to report my results. My internet is 30/5 and with this new kernel I actually get 30/6.5 which is obviously a faster upload than my computer speed tests.
If I flash a new kernel, do the new wifi drivers and such go away?

The kernel changes I made and the wifi libs and config in rom side need to go together... so if you flash a new kernel only the files in rom side stay.... and your wifi will mess up... so use the revert zip to change kernel but you will lose the fix

Disclaimer: Flash this ROM at your own risk. I am not responsible for what you do on your device. I left this stock to provide a base for anybody that wants to use it. Mod this rom how you want. Just please remember to give credit where credit is due.
This is a pure stock rooted rom. It has items like busybox, init.d support and so forth. No apps were added or removed. Both Odexed and Deodexed versions below.
This is using stock unmodified kernel from HTC. Kernel source can be grabbed from HTCDev

It uses the CM ramdisk. Maybe that has something to with it?
I'm using CM10.2 which uses Koush's built in Superuser and it works fine.

Not sure if this is cm10.2's implementation or done by shubhamchamaria, but the ramdisk has a file, init.superuser.rc:
Code:
# su daemon
service su_daemon /system/xbin/su --daemon
class main
oneshot
disabled
on property:persist.sys.root_access=0
stop su_daemon
on property:persist.sys.root_access=2
stop su_daemon
on property:persist.sys.root_access=1
start su_daemon
on property:persist.sys.root_access=3
start su_daemon
Perhaps you can try setting that prop and seeing if it'll work?

This is a port of the awesome mokee os ROM I put together for myself and figured I'd share since the mokee os team has yet to release for the vzw g2
The main thread for the team on the g2 forum is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2624235. check it out for more info on the ROM. Specifically, this is a port of the d800 version where I changed some things around just to get it to flash. The real heavy lifting is done by dr87's awesome vs980 patch from the also awesome mahdi ROM thread. So go thank him, savoca, (for furnace kernel) and ryuinferno (the mokee g2 maintainer) for all their work for our community. Also I'm no dev so I obviously can't provide support or what not, and don't crowd up the devs threads with support questions as they don't support our phone. so basically this is provided as is. Also if anyone wants a different ROM ported to the vs980 just pm me and I'll give it a shot. Anyways on to the deets.
Install instructions:
wipe everything. system, cache, dalvik and data 3x
Flash ROM.
Flash gapps (optional)
Flash vs980 patch
Flash vs980 kernel (I used furnace kernel. Also idk if this is necessary but I did it just to be safe.)edit: it is required for odex builds
Profit.
Bugs: for now it says d800, I may fix it next time but it doesn't hurt nothing. (fixed i think someone wanna confirm?)
Do not use the in ROM ota update.
It says tcdma 64
If you have rotation issues download the fix from my drive then boot to recovery and flash the fix then reflash your kernel of choice (credit tangjun269)
What ever bugs mokee has
Other?
Download link: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B0lbyXDReetfSVh5MFA2M3RyMGs/edit
Might be missing something, but I don't see the ROM? Unless its probam?

All I did is to take a d802 build, unzip it, change out the boot IMG to your model, edit the updater script and build prop to include your model number then rezip so it'll flash correctly, then download your device specific patch from one of dr87's ROM threads, then flash the ROM, gapps, the patch, then your kernel of choice. The patch that dr87 made is really just a script that injects all the variant specific stuff into the ROM so u can fairly easily just include it yourself but the script works well so I didn't bother.
Landscape Hell
I installed this last night and I was really liking it BUT every app/new window I opened was in landscape mode .... the home screen was the only thing that remained in proper portrait mode ... even the MK set-upo screen is in landscape ... I could not find a way to stop this annoying feature so I bailed on it .... if the screen orientation would just behave properly, I would be much happier to try it as a DD but constant landscape mode sucks BIG TIME .... any one, any one ???

Hi guys,
I bought a 4800mAh battery for my lg 4x.. With stock and stock-based roms my phone shutdown after 10 seconds with "use genuine battey message". There is a way to bypass this check?( build.prop commands, patches, etc.) thanks in advance
Sent from my LG-P880 using XDA Free mobile app
You'd probably need a modified kernel. There's a command line parameter passed by the bootloader (batteryVerified). It's read on initialization and is loaded by LGE battery driver later. Userspace can read it, the corresponding code is here. I guess you're on stock, because I'm pretty sure this doesn't get checked on custom roms. Modifying userspace part could also be possible and even easier if the needed code is found.
Now i'm on Omnirom and the battery check doesn't appear. i tried also with a non-stock kernel (ioadak) but nothing changed. So, how must i use the code in your link?
