My ideal rom would be just the same as my phone is without all the verizon/bloat apps. I don't mind some of the things but there is just so much junk added to this phone. I have setup monster but honestly I really dislike it. Tons of things randomly crash for me and I would prefer to have the standard droid three home not the basic droid style home. Does a rom like that exist? If not does anyone have a link for the stock rom just like I received it? Actually I would like a link for that even if there is an alternative in case I want to revert.
Thanks

There are a few ROMs out that are debloated. There are also scripts that will debloat your phone. As an alternative, you can freeze the apps you don't want with TiBu.
As for the stock ROM, did you do a nandroid before flashing anything? If so, just restore that.
Indeed why don't you just use the debloat script on your stock rom?

So, I was pretty excited to root my phone and ended up skipping the nandroid part (not that i didn't want to do it, but I didn't notice that step)
So, can somone just host their backup so that I can load it?
Or does someone still have the stock rom that can hook me up?
I will run the scripts once I get it back to the stock rom but I need help getting back first.
I ran the one click root,
Then installed rom manager,
Then installed the boot strapper
then the bootstrapper maid for the droid 3
then installed monster1.1 from sd
PLEASE HELP
IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, I NEED SOMEONES NANDROID ORIGINAL BACKUP

Sharing Nandroids doesn't necessarily always work. Just Fastboot your phone to stock, root and run debloat script. Viola.

Alright, I used fastboot to redo to stock. Thanks!
So I just successfully rooted my lovely HTC One from Sprint. I've got TWRP 2.6.0.1 on it and all.
I'd REALLY like to get rid of all this garbage on my phone that I'm never going to use, however I also would like to keep it as close to stock as possible. I really enjoy Sense for the most part (minus quirks that I'm willing to live with, and BlinkFeed). I know how/can find out how to load a custom rom - I had CM7 on my HTC EVO 4G (1st Gen) and loved it. But I really don't want to be without Sense.
Can anyone make any suggestions as to what I should do/which rom I should use?

Sorry, I'm overwhelmed at the wealth of knowledge here. Is there a link to the specific one you're talking about? Search didn't do me a ton of good. Though I suppose I could send the guy a message and inquire about his ROM.
Thank you for all your help guys!
Okay so I've decided that I want to try the OMJ ROM. Now here's where I am unsure of exactly how to do it. I see that certain ROMs require different methods. I can't just copy the ZIP to my internal storage and use TWRP to flash it, right? It has to be more complicated than that...
Also, I just went past the return window for the phone so I really cannot afford to brick it. I assume that there's next to no chance of the aforementioned tragedy befalling me providing I stick with the mainstream ROMs?
Most roms are in a flashable format i use the CM 10.2 nightly myself. from what i can tell as long as you can get into the bootloader your safe. I wiped my whole phone SD card and everything accidentally with TWRP one time. Ended up having to use sideload to get a CM rom installed again but i was never in danger of bricking. When flashing roms always remember to do a factory reset to wipe the cache and do an advanced wipe of the data and system. after the rom is installed it will ask you to wipe the cache again which is always nice to do.

No worries, I am new to the unlocking scene too with this device . Those flashable zips will normally have the boot.img files included and when installing twrp will take care of it via the script inside the zip. if you open the zip file with winzip or something you should see that file on the root. TWRP or ClockworkMod recoveries make it really easy to install and backup roms.
flashing the boot.img i guess is for recovery purposes say if the system is in a boot loop. Or maybe if you upgrade the system only and didnt change boot img between two different roms. I personally never had to do this. After unlocking the device i used fastboot to replace the recovery and just do everything else inside the recovery.

Alright, so I've got OMJ's rom running no problem. Love the new feel but what I'm wondering is...is there still a way to delete apps like Stocks and other crap I won't use? I can disable some but not all, and none am I able to uninstall completely.
Would it be something as simple as going into the OMJ ZIP file and removing the unwanted apk files and then re-flashing to that version?

I suppose that could be one way of doing it, but i dont think its necessary. if you are already rooted or can install root easy i would just install a Root file explorer. Browse to the /system/app folder i think it is and delete the APKs from there.

Yeah I tried that with ES explorer AND Root File Manager. ES would have an error, and Root File Manager would simply say it was deleted but it was never actually deleted. I think it has something to do with the security. I'm not really sure, haha! I'm used to being able to just openly delete apps from within Settings>Apps like the old days of my EVO 1st gen.
hmm interesting as long as the /system is mounted as r/w permissions you should be able to delete. well if you are planning on reflashing using the modify zip method im curious to know if that works.

use Root explorer, and set it at r/w
also Titanium Backup will delete it for you too.
If I remember correctly there are a few apps in the play store that are specifically for getting rid of "bloatware".....maybe search bloatware removal, our uninstall bloatware something like that. Hopefully this helps!

Well for whatever reason neither of those two suggestions worked. So I installed Root Browser and was finally able to get rid of some things.
Scratch that. Rebooted phone and the apps are back.

Thanks! I'm working on it now. I did not see an app called "ROM Cleaner" or "ROMCleaner" but I did find something called Rom Toolbox Lite that I'm going to attempt to use.
Will post back. I may look for the ROMCleaner on the net and just install it manually.
Edit: So I guess I showed my ignorance there. It appears ROM Cleaner is something offered through the forum. I'm unsure of how to use it so I'll take a look around.

Hey all, Bquamb here....
So I am just about ready to smash my HTC M7 after all the **** it has put me through..
I do have it fully rooted, Unlocked, yadda yadda w/ Android Rev. 31.6 (i believe) and last night
I noticed just before bed I would check my Xposed framework and found that I had an update.
I had backed up everything onto my Thumb drive... But I have a few huge problems...
So I updated the Xposed framework, Soft rebooted and it stayed on the Opening HTC One
w/ Beatsaudio at the bottom... and stayed like that the whole time i brushed my teeth. Came back,
still illuminated, totally stopped. I hold Power to restart and it does the same loop and stays on the same opening page.
So great.... I go into my CWM and find that my backup didn't actually back up and left me with
one 3 weeks previous... but even that seems to have faults and I lost a lot of important stuff....
Its gone, no point in worrying now.... but I NEED WiFi for work and home use. NOTHING
I open my Wifi, pop in the password and says saved and secured... Will not connect.
3G works fine but am very limited 100Mb... Fail
What the hell happened?! What went wrong? Has anybody else ever had said problem?
I have searched but I think this is a first post. I didn't find anything anywhere else.
Thank you!
I will get you screenshots when I can look at my phone again... Too angry.
Dont forget there is a zip file in /sdcard to revert change made by xposed. It might worth a try if you cant boot

What would the process be to revert this?
I think I forgot to mention, I did a restore from a previous save but its kinda old.
I have been looking everywhere for a solution... I have done everything i have found online (airplane, reboots, WiFi on off, restored 4x) and nothing works. It finds WiFi available hosts but will only save the connection without actually connecting.
So frusterating!

I understand its very frustrating. When you install xposed framework it create 2 files in /sdcard (xposed-disabler-cwm.zip and xposed-disabler-twrp.zip) when you are stuck in a bootloop for something related to xposed, just go in recovery (cwm for you), select install zip, and install xposed-disabler-cwm.zip.
Now that you restored a backup, I really don't know if it will work, but it might work to try. Maybe you want to disable all module and reboot and see if something change before doing the zip method. If nothing change, im afraid you'll need to do a factory reset
---------- Post added at 04:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:33 PM ----------
from Xposed site:
In case you get into a boot loop:
You can flash the attached Xposed-Disabler-CWM.zip by Tungstwenty. It will be copied to your (external) SD card when you install Xposed as well. The only thing it does is copying /system/bin/app_process.orig back to /system/bin/app_process, which you can also do yourself (e.g. with adb shell in recovery mode).
You could also create a file /data/xposed/disabled, which causes Xposed to be bypassed as well.

Still not working... Wt did i do?
I can not connect to any wifi network but will find them.....
I have the same issue.. HTC One, rooted , with maximus hd. I thought it was because of sense toolbox. After I installed the toolbox and updated framework it rebooted and was stuck at boot up screen. I flashed a different Rom but it did the same thing. If you dirty flash the same Rom that was locked it should put all back working. It did for mine anyways. It seems as if it might be something with sense toolbox. I can run exposed with every mod but as soon as I check the toolbox it craps out. I don't have s-off, or CID. Thought I would try that then ran accross thus post. If a solution is found please let us know. I can provide any data if needed.

I am 4 Rom flashes in and ZERO Wifi works. Still scans and finds who ever is around but zero connection.
Grrrr!!!!
How did this happen for you? Was it a Sense or Busybox update? Also, did you update the xposed frame work as well?
I knew it, I knew it, brushing teeth's do **** up the phone. Confirmed!
I am not gonna brush. ever. like ever!
Made it happen again, I went to settings , sense toolbox. Told me the module needs to be installed through framework. Opened framework, check box in toolbox square, framework update, all good will be affective after a reb........ Suddenly it restarts. Stuck in boot up screen, went outside kicked my neighbors dog.
I may be wrong but it only happens when I think about sense toolbox.
I don't know...

I recently rooted my HTC a few days ago. I downloaded Titanium Backup to get rid of the Sprint bloatware. Did it and everything was fine. However, a few hours ago I turned my phone off as I had a speech to deliver. Turned it back on and now it is rebooting every 15-30 seconds. Also, my text messaging is weird. I use hangouts and the messages stay on "sending" and yet apparently they are sent since I am getting replies. I am using Google Hangouts. I can still make calls and all that so I know I still have service. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I DO NOT have S-Off. Just a standard root, if that helps. My guess is that I most likely uninstalled something I shouldn't have. If so, could anyone provide a stock HTC rom or app package I can flash? Is this even possible since I don't have S-Off?

i believe the standard messaging app is still required for texting even if hangouts is handling it. did you uninstall stock messaging? also as a rule of thumb i tend to freeze instead of uninstall the apps that way i dont have to hunt down a flash if it messes up. this is also why you always make a nandroid anytime you mess with your phone's software.

Nope, I did not uninstall the stock messaging app. And yeah, I forgot to do a nandroid backup. Do you know where I can find a stock ROM to flash? Do I need S-Off to flash roms?
What version of SuperSU do you have installed? I recall seeing an issue awhile back where some other folks were having reboot issues and flashing the newest version of SuperSU fixed their issue. If that doesn't fix your issue you'll need to reflash your ROM. You can take a look at the thread in the link below, also. It has stock backups that you can load and install via recovery. You can also run the RUU that's the equivalent of what you're currently running.
Stock backups:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2736048
RUU's:

Once you get things running again, make sure you make a backup in TWRP.

How do I do this? I managed to get the phone stable but now none of my radios are working. Cell, data, WiFi, GPS, none of them work or even turn on. Will doing what you said fix this?
Info:
This is a custom stock rom that is only for sprint devices (Sprint/Vm/Boost). It was made using SuperR's Kitchen. It is rooted and I tried to removed as much as I could. This is just a work in progress so there will probably be more that I will remove and will replace some of the apps with updated and better versions based on user input. Also included for those that wish to make their own rom is an decrypted rooted stock. I have tested these extensively, but as always make a full backup before flashing and do a full wipe just in case. I am not responsible for any damages or loss of data that may occur from flashing these roms.

Let me know if there are any problems/request you have I'll try to do my best to fix them as quickly as possible.
I would like to thank @Captain_Throwback for all of his help in making this rom.

Let me know how it goes. I still have some work to do on it. Wasn't really sure what some of the files were. I'll be running more test to see what else I can remove and still have it boot. Wan't to get this as small as possible. If I removed anything that breaks something important let me know. As I said I'm not a dev and this is my first attempt.
No doubt. I have no problem putting it through the wringer. I'll let you know if I find anything, as well as any fixes that may work. I'm stoked to get back to my 626 and get to flashing!
I'll keep an eye on this. Just got the phone in the mail and noticed the extreme amounts of bloatware. Can't wait to root Dx.
Everything seems to be functioning correctly so far. Nice, lite and responsive. Flashed well, maybe 3 minutes total to complete. Boot up took even less. As of this post, no FC's or hangups found.
Solid rom! Thanks again!
Finally a rom for the sprint variants! I'll be giving this a try, downloading now. I hope it solves the low memory problems....

Removed most of the apps that were causing problems. Have another version that I am currently working on that will have the updates included and a few more apps removed. Only problem is this phone is very hard to make flashable roms for. Most attempts end with a boot loop. Still not giving up though.
A few things I have noticed: first is the HTC Account apk was missing so I couldn't sign in to install themes. I fixed that by downloading it from Google Play and making it a system app using rom toolbox pro.
Secondly I'm not sure if our phone has a magnetometer (compass) I would think it would have one. But it's not working.
Other than those 2 issues, this is a solid rom. Good job man. Keep up the good work.
I'm trying to get viper4Android to work but it keeps telling me my busybox installation is broken which it isn't.
Might wanna see if you can include busybox in future updates. Just a suggestion.
Oops, sorry noob here, got the 626s desire but connected to the bell network. if this is a sprint rom i guess i got to go back to rooted stock? The rom boots but hangs at activation. am i correct?
Unfortunately until someone comes up with a rom for your variant, you'll have to go back to your original rom. I hope you made a backup before you installed this rom.
I have the boost mobile variant and I still can't get twrp to work only Cyan recovery anyone know anything about getting two to work I used captainthrowback
Maybe I should learn how to read better. Is new so started off the bat with nothing on it so no backup I did with it. Worst case is I'm screwed lol.

You might not be screwed. Try searching the HTC website for an Ruu for your carrier. Once you find it lock your bootloader, then let it run its magic. Should return you back to stock.
@Sinister Drake I removed a lot of HTC stuff as I didn't think most people use it. If I do remove something you really need and can't find let me know and I'll re-add it.
As for busybox it does come pre-installed. Why some apps find it and others do not I can't really say. Doing a busybox check does show it's there.
Now as for the compass that is a issue that worries me. All my research says this phone has one, but it doesn't work even on my recovery. I need to know if it was something that worked on stock or if it was just false reporting by HTC, so I can narrow down the problem. It shouldn't be a problem with my rom as it is taken directly from the RUU, but I cannot be for certain until I get more feedback.
You know I screwed myself and went to quick because I had it rooted with twrp and oh look debloated firmware without paying attention to the Carrier, Doh! You know what silly, I called HTC Canada because bell is a Canadian outfit and they apparently don't supply ruu's like the states does. Oh well my bad 200 smackers later and a new phone. I guess on the bright side I can root it lol. Maybe one of the excellent developers will somehow create a bell version.
New version = https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzHOZHL6ZwXhRWxZNG4zc3lDSWc Removed an extra 200mb now total over 600mb freed. Also, updated the OP with the list of apps that have been remove. As always if I removed something you want and can't find let me know I will add it back in. Been using this version for a few days and found no errors, but make a backup just in case. Report any error you find I'll do my best to fix them.
Working on updating the apps to free up even more space. After that I'll be replacing some apps with lighter versions. Once I get any significant build I'll post it.
@kindlefire39 hopefully you can find someone else that has this phone in your region to make a backup for you. Once you get that you can easily use suprr kitchen to make a debloated version.
Is it possible to backup my new phone and use super kitchen? Or am I out in left field? I could be the first one with a bell mobility variant.

Once you flash a rom it overwrites the one you currently have installed. That is why it is good to make a backup before you flash. Out of curiosity have you tried to flash Captain_Throwback's rom? Its for metropcs but if you can get your phone to boot you can call your phone company tell them your phone is on a different carrier and you need the codes for the phone to work on their network. If you do get it to boot some things might not work, like the wifi, but it can get you through until you can get a proper rom/backup. Try posting in the help section asking for someone to make a backup of their phone. Heck even try asking anyone you know that has the same phone if you can borrow it for a bit to fix yours.

When I installed the rom I did not see Busybox, I installed it from google play. I'm still trying to figure out how to get viper4android to work to no avail. Maybe you can add it as a system app with the rom. With that being said, I've learned that another thing you have to do to get it to work is to use the selinux changer. with a quick google search you can find it elsewhere to download since it is not availble on google play anymore.
I do have to give you props though man, you're doing a fantastic job developing this rom whilst not being a developer. Kudos to you brother.

Is it possible that you could provide the apk for the HTC clock widget? I really dig the flip clock style. I can install it myself, I just dont have the apk for it
Sorry what I meant is I got a second phone because HTC Canada couldn't help. I just bit the bullet. So with the new phone can I make a stock backup or through twrp than backup? If I have a stock backup, than I could custom it and delete apps that you did for yours in your list.
