https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=cca5...507&ithint=file,.zip&authkey=!ANidm4D119J3yZc
is not the entire firmware but only the update
copy the file in zip format like u downloaded on root at ur phone
turn of ur phone
boot into recovery
apply update from sd card
search the zip file of OTA
install
enjoy
if u dont want the OTA,but u want the entire firmware u must wait untill they put it on Sbf

hello there xda users
i have recently bricked my phone and managed to reflash the firmware, but, i had to add the bootloader file with the split firmware package.
what i want to do is install the latest XXLD3 firmware on top of the current s5830ixxkk5/gingerbread.xxlk1 firmware package but im worried because i am thinking that the bootloader file has to be the same as the firmware if you know what i mean. can i install the xxld3 on the xxkk5 bootloader without bricking my phone again? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Use ODIN flash YOUR stock rom csc/pda/modem to wait till it boots, after that go to download mode again and just flash pda of XXLD3 using ODIN again. For flashing you dont need the bootloader use ODIN 1.84. I change my WHLA1 to XXLA2 just by flashing the pda of xxla2
And by the way remember what feetsonfire said, this queries need to be on general section not in development
I tried to search it but no luck.
I have a Xperia TX and I want to dump the firmware out from it.
is it possible to do that. it's a unlocked stock firmware and not a ROOTed phone.
Thanks

Read the second post in the all in one thread about creating a ftf file.
That will give you the latest software on a ftf file. However, if you have an update due and want to back up the system you are on its trickier.
Best bet is to do an adb pull of system and use dsixdas kitchen to convert it to a .zip file. But you will need to be rooted and have cmw to restore it.
My advice (As its given in the all in one thread) is to make an ftf as soon as you get your phone or as soon as you update in order to be able to flash it back when you want.
The ftf files you make from this method are completely stock.
EDIT
Unlocked but not rooted? What would be the point in doing that?
Thanks gregbradley,
It's unlocked because I got it as unlocked. not root because it's for my wife. she doesn't need a root phone. lol
Anyway, I guess this can't be done without rooting the phone. nvm then.

Ahh, you dont mean unlocked, you mean sim unlocked. Unlocked for devs means bootloader unlocked.
also, you do not need to be rooted to make a ftf file.
read the instructions in the link
Hi Gregbradley,
I tried to search the forum and googled it also, but I only can find the way to make ftf from the file that downloaded by using Sony PC Companion or SEUS. But not from the phone itself.
What I need is the firmware from the phone.

take a backup using recovery and use that system. img in dsixdas kitchen
but that involes rooting.
As i said in previousposts, thats why it should be done as sooner rather later.
Listen, just update and use the new firmware, dont sweat it
G'day all,
I'm from Malaysia and the latest firmware has just been released which is the 6.13.707.1 and I've found a link to download this firmware here. However, I understand that flashing firmwares may cause the sdcard to be wiped. I'm hoping someone could give me a pointer on how to mod or remove any components in this firmware zip to avoid it from wiping the sdcard before I flash it. Thanks!
HI there,
just remove all dzdata* files from firmware.zip.

That's only the untouched firmware that I uploaded for those who want to revert to original firmware after he flashed a modded firmware like the one with removed red text warning. And it won't wipe your sdcard.
What actually you want to achieve ? If it is to update your ROM to 4.4.3, this won't work.
If you plan to update the firmware only then use a custom 4.4.3 ROM, then this should be ok.
See this if your intention is to update to Stock 4.4.3 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55002536&postcount=7644

Thanks a lot for the firmware bro! I'm currently on a custom 4.4.3 ROM and I'd like to update the firmware to 6.13.707.1 which is the closest to our country.

I see ... if that's the case remove the boot.img and recovery.img from the firmware.zip so you don't have to reflash custom recovery and kernel.

Download "XperiFirm", run it and select your device. Then choose an older version and download it
Then use the latest Flashtool and flash the .ftf to your device!
You should download the oldest available firmware in order for the root process to work properly ->(D5803_23.0.A.2.93_Generic_GLOBAL.ftf)

You cant flash a firmware with a lower bootloader number. The fifth digit from the right is the bl version. You are trying to flash a firmware with bl version 3 over you're current version 4 so just flash a firmware with version 4 and you should be good.
