[Q] Firmware flashing - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay i have a question regarding firmware flashing.
i want to know that whether after flashing this firmware with modified hboot http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/3-63-707-4_firmware_darkboot-zip/ and then flashing a stock unmodifed hboot v1.44 will lead to hard brick or not ??
P.S Just got my phone back from repairing for Jtag brick cause of changing the mid with modified hboot so afraid to flash stuff but i have to cause my mid is PN0711000 and there is no RUU for this model.Currently if someone can provide a stock firmware the above mentioned build i will be very grateful. As the phone is asking for IMSI number which i entered but still keeps on asking again for it even after reboot. The current firmware i have flashed is this one http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/3-22-1540-1_firmware-zip/
Here is the link of the stock hboot http://shoot-a-droid.blogspot.in/2013/06/hboot-htc-one-s-off-modded-stock-eng.html

short answer is no .. going s-on with a modified hboot will brick your phone
being your s-off you can go back to whatever hboot you want and change your MID and CID to what ever you want

Tnx worked perfectly even changed to stock hboot without any problems.

[Q] Need help finding recovery rom

Hi all! I'm completely lost trying to find the right recovery rom for my phone. I can't get S-Off, so I'm going to just flash stock recovery/rom onto the phone. However, because it's a later firmware I'm struggling to find the correct ROM. Guru reset didn't come with working screen drivers and running an update mutilated the install. RUU.exe's don't work even with stock locked recovery. Running ARHD 81 with TWRP 2.6.3.3

I can not find a Guru Reset for your version but here is the RUU 5.14.531.11, since it is a RUU you will have to "Relock" your bootloader to run this file. It will take you back to stock and if you want you can then update your phone to the latest version over the air. I'm not sure which RUU you tried to run but if it was the 3.24.531.3 version then it is lower than your version. With S-ON you can only run those that are the same or higher than your version with a hboot 1.56 you should run 4.xx.531.x. My guess the Guru Reset was a earlier version as well.

Remove your IMEI number and serial number from your first post.
Just use this to return to stock by @clsA put TWRP recovery on your phone, do a full wipe, push or sideload the zip file to your internal storage and then flash it.

You don't get rid of dirty, its normal, they all say that.

Which RUU do you want to flash. A link would be great :good:
I tried to flash every att ruu I could find, but I got it done, had to find a decrypted one, and extract it, then re insert and flash it piece by piece, radio, recovery, hboot, system... etc thanks for the replies, especially the imei/sn comment, forgot that was in the vars, made me check another post i made yesterday too :good:

in all honesty, you should of just found the firmware matching the RUU you were trying to flash and flashed that first as you are s-off, you've pretty much done that just manually, glad you got it sorted though :good:

[SOLVED] HTC One M7 unable to update to lollipop

First of all I would like to explain myself for starting another topic with this title but my problem is pretty specific and I searched the web for this and haven't found a solution yet.
So this is how it goes. I have stock telstra rom on my device and seeing as telstra isn't so keen on updating it I converted my cid and mid to europe international (HTC__001), OS- *.**.401.11, flashed firmware and changed my build.prop to match. Once I did that I got a notification of an OTA for lollipop but once it starts, in recovery it says "/system/app/DocumentsUI.apk has unexpected contents" and red triangle with exclamation point shows so the installation is aborted. My question is how do I get OTA to work on my phone without losing all the data on it? Phone is s-off, rooted and unlocked but other then that I didn't change a thing, specially not that apk.

Problem htc one(M7) 802w any one help

I downloaded a RUU to downgrade my HTC One dual sim from android 5.0.2 to 4.4.2, the RUU matches my CID - HTC__J15 but it doesn't match my model num, RUU model: PN0770000 mine is PN0771000

And don't mind the S-ON I just got the phone S-OFF but I used getvar before I did the process.
My main/most important question is, can I still flash that RUU after having S-OFF to downgrade? the RUU had x.xx.401.x version but my version is x.xx.402.x is it still gonna work? (I don't mind the difference, I just need the downgrade badly)
Also if the version number causes an error, please link me a RUU for my phone that's android 4.4.2 or 4.4.3.
Thanks in advance.
I ended up having this HTC RUU Mode screen with warning logos on the edges

First of all don't include IMEI and Serialno when posting a fastboot getvar all. This RUU zip is the one you're looking for https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934554130
No need to change the cid as your matches the one in the RUU zip. Make sure to relock the bootloader because you are S-ON before you flash the RUU. Make sure to wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, and system from custom recovery before flashing ROM (this is recommended when flashing so do it)
To relock the boot loader run the following commands in fastboot
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944 to take you to the thread were I got the link for the RUU zip so you can rest a sure that the zip file is legit. Also this thread will show you how to flash the file.
Ask any questions if unsure of any procedure.
