Edit: Many report they do not need this & works as is.
Nice find! I don't know if it works because right now I don't have an OTG adapter, but I will check it out later.
I have a usb OTG adapter and it works out of the box on CM11. (Tried a wireless mouse and keyboard so far).

I recently bought an USB OTG cable and a USB 2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter off of eBay. The OTG cable works fine with my mouse and keyboard, but the ethernet adapter does not work with the OTG cable. Does the P7 support ethernet via USB, or maybe is it the ethernet adapter's problem? If it is, then can anyone recommend an adapter that's guaranteed to to work?
Thanks!
I only found this thread for the Asus Transformer, but of course it's not guaranteed to work on the P7 too.
Maybe you can borrow from someone else to try?

Hi,
I was looking for a working USB-C OTG adapter for P9000, but
I couldn't find one that's 100% confirmed to work.
Also I was looking for any usb-C OTG powered connectors
(like USB micro Y cables) but again-did anyone had a thing like that
working with P9000?
Thanks in advance for replies.
My elephone connects to the PC fine with the stock cable
I am using this one OTG USB-C 3.0 . It worked perfectly with the Stock Rom (USB Stcisk, USB Mous and Keyboard)
I am having real problems with getting OTG to work - have tried various adapters and managed to get my phone to read from a few USB memory sticks however I cannot copy anything from my phone to the stick!
I have tired re-formatting to FAT32 via the phone but no joys. Using stock ROM.
Any ideas?
I´m using this one. Works well with all kind of thumb drives. I haven`t tested any keyboards yet.
@blade954: Try another filemanager - such as rootexplorer or esexplorer. Had some same trouble on my old xperia Z.
Trust USB-C to USB3.1 CONVERTER also works for me.
Has anyone hooked a keyboard up to Shamu using an OTG cable? I have a Startech Microusb to Miniusb OTG cable and others in the reviews have confirmed got it working with keyboards, mice etc. I also tried a few OTG test/troubleshoot apps and the OTG cable is being detected, but the keyboard is not being detected or powered on. The keyboard is a Ducky Mini and has a Miniusb output, so it's plugged directly into the phone.
Using Lineage + Francokernel + Magisk, all on the latest updates. Thanks.
edit: this is the cable; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018M8YNDG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
edit2: upon further review, some people are saying that one specific miniUSB version of the cable is charge only (when all others are data/charge, oh joy). I'm confused though, if that were true how would USB thumb drives (or anything OTG) work if it's not giving off power?
As the M5 Lite uses a USB C port (with USB 2 speeds according to reviews) I'm curious as to whether there is a USB C OTG dongle/hub/dock that works with this device? Has anyone tested this?
If not - I have ordered 3 dongles and a hub to test and will report back. Thought it might be useful for the wider community to be informed, whilst also inquiring myself.

To answer my own question - USB hub works fine, usb dongles also work - it seems the USB C connector is standard from this side of things. I've not tested HDMI out as don't have a HDMI adaptor.

Hi. Which adapter works for you? I bought one on Amazon usb/sd/hdmi to USB-C and it didn't worked for my Huawei M5 lite 10 but it worked on a Samsung A 2018. Also does the hdmi adapter work, have you tried it? Thanks
Hello.
I just bought the M5 Lite, seems to work great. For the USB interface, I have a usb hub which works fine with the tablet: it has 3 USB ports, and I am able to simultaneously access a USB drive, as well as use a logitech wireless keyboard dongle allowing use of BOTH wireless keyboard and mouse. However the newest hub which I bought specifically to use with this tablet, a "FitFort" type-C hub pro, does NOT work with this tablet(although it does work with my Xiaomi telephone.) Therefore it seems that this tablet and hub are incompatible... The Fitfort hub power light does not even light up when plugged into the M5 Lite...This is dissapointing since the Fitfort Hub has an HDMI port which was the main feature I wanted to try out. I have researched HDMI output for the M5 Lite but have not yet found anyone claiming the HDMI output will work from the M5 Lite. By the way, although this Fitfort hub works fine with my Xiaomi phone(for UDB drives and dongles), the HDMI port does not work for this Xiaomi phone.
As for M5 Lite HDMI output, anyone having success with this please post info. Thanks
Tech problem.
So I brought a OTG T-C adapter for my phone so I can plug in a OTG hub that allows me to plug in my keyboard and mouse. I have an A8.
Problem is it wont detect either. It is getting power, if I plug my cell into it instead of connecting it to the OTG cord, it will charge which shows me power is going through it. (Tried this with the otg adapter on too, can charge with the other cord fine)
The mouse is fine (I tried it with my other mouse too same problem) The keyboard is brand new too.
My cell also supports otg, so thats not an issue either.
I have searched for a while now without finding any relevant information to help me solve this.
Any help/suggestions?

Not all devices are able to use OTG Adapters.
You need to check and see if your device is compatible with OTG Adapters.
For example, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is compatible with OTG Adapters but, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is not.
This is hardware related and not firmware.
This is the best advice I can give you...
Good Luck!
