flash another recovery hmm like rz recovery 2.1.4
Hi
Go and flash a stock 2.3.6 ROM from Samfrimware.com using odin after you get pass sign from odin if you get boot loop clear data an cache from recovery and reboot if you get boot loop flash the file that is same to your ROM with Odin from here like if you downloaded gt-s5570 jpkt2 then the jpkt2 PDA file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398797
And partion your SD card to ext4 to be your new data partion and the secondary partion that you must fat if you have a 2gb SD or smaller and if you have 4gb SD or larger select fat32 and the two partions must be primary then pot your SD in the phone and reboot this will make the phone mount the ext4 partion as your phones data partion so if there are a problem with the phones data partion it will make the work again

just flash a four package file
Before I flashed to Cyanogenmod 7.2, I performed a backup using ClockworkMod.
Now I tried the following:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
advance > Wipe Dalvik Cache
Back and Restore > Restore > Selected my file 2012-11-01.....
The restoration appeared to went ok but when I reboot the device it's stuck in "Galaxy Ace GT-S5830" screen.
Any ideas what else can I do? Thanks.
Are you sure you don't have md5 mismatch during restore??

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I don't need to do this anymore :victory:
I was able to get the data I need without using the phone.
I just opened the .db files from CWM backup files in my PC.
But I will surely try this method in case I need it again. Thanks!

Ur recovery might be the issue.
Sent Via XDA™ Premium
so how do I fix it?
Obviously! u need to flash an appropriate CWM recovery that is build for ur device.
Sent Via XDA™ Premium
As far as I know ...
the CWM recovery can't flash in GT-S5570i ...
I did on my device and after reboot it goes back to original CWM ...
that's mean on GT-S5570i u can use custom CWM as temporary only ...
@girl223
if u followed the above advices and still can't solve the problem ...
then u need to start from scrap ...
I mean need to flash with original firmware then upgrade to Jellyblast ....
check out This POST and follow the procedure ...

If you want to revert back to stock from cm11.you have to flash the stock ROM through Odin then root it then flash cocore kernel and restore nandroid backup.
If not want to go through PC then
First flash custom ROM 4.3 make all wipes and format then flash cm 10.1 with all wipes and format (especially /preload partition) flash cocore again wipe all then restore nandroid backup.

Why would somebody give you this backup considering that it contains data, settings and personal information?
As I see in your signature you have a totally different phone model than Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070, can you be more specific with what you need?

There is no "best rom".
I told you to install Samsung USB drivers, not Kies. Sometimes Kies is making you a problem when you are in Download mode. Turn it off on PC, remove it in Task manager too.

You need root permissions to mount /data partition...
1. Reboot into <Stock recovery 3e>
2. Root your device
3. Flash CWM 5.0.2.6 Fixed
4. Done!

Always after flashing a STOCK rom via Odin boot into recovery and do wipw data factory reset and wipe cache partition too in order to avoid the bootloop
Don't remove the launcher you need at least one to use your phone
Your data mount problem could be solved if you flash an Android 2.3.6 Firmware
(Try with ddq8 or ktm)

Yeah, it should work. If you have the correct model (GT-S5830) you could use all the Firwares available for it

BTW some customs roms are based in european or indian firmwares
