OmniROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance, reliability and features over stock Android for your device.
Code:

Thank you very very much. Gonna try it soon and I'll report
Been waiting forever for an omni rom port. Dling atm. Gonna test battery life and reboot frequency.

A question Herr Walter:
Any chance that the kernel would work on other ROM, such as AOKP?
And, if yes, can this be made into a flashable zip?
Thank you for your input.
Sent from my Xperia V using Tapatalk
Good to see this finally coming to the V. And no the kernel is not separable from the ROM so the kernel cannot be flashed onto another KK ROM.
As for reboots, there should be none - as with the T the new kernel should fix all instability issues.

Any chances you could provide a flashable zip that includes the kernel and those proprietary files you mentioned?
I'd be willing to give this a shot.

Tested this for a couple of hours.
Except the wifi/gps/camera bugs everything else seems to work fine with ART on.
The Omni switch is a really nice feature

It's not as simple as a quick kernel and props flash - the system depends on the kernel that is being compiled alongside - the entire ROM needs to be compiled along with the kernel or you'll get breakage.
this sounds promising...
is there anymore work planned on this rom? i would love to have omnirom...or ANY real custom ROM
I switched to kernel source from sony. Maybe i can compile new rom later. Camera is fixed some firmeware file were missing. Still problems with Wlan and GPS
I am back to omni kernel.
Wifi works now. http://d-h.st/XVF
Use wifi firmware from kernel / mint (xperia t)
check /system/etc/firmware/wlan and replace files with files from Xperia T omni.
Edit:
Recovery fixed: use this in bootrec-device
export BOOTREC_EVENT_NODE="/dev/input/event7 c 13 72"
export BOOTREC_EVENT="/dev/input/event7"
Next Camera and GPS.
both camera fixed.
next step fix gps.
edit:
gps works partial now. It did not work if you have enabled wifi

This sounds like the rom is now ready for daily usage, isn't it? :good:
By the way, are the bsod issues gone with the new kernel source? Have you been able to test this over some time?

BSOD's are now as much as you should have on a stock rom, cause it is the same kernel. So rarely Should be really stable like I have on my Xperia T!
I have to update and test my source now. If everthing works well i will build a new test rom. Files from 9.2.A.1.210 official
I m back to omnirom kernel.
Kernel works well.

CAF has added support for FM radio and Bluez. Maybe they won't do it this time.
Anyway, camera and Wi-Fi are not working. So the build will be delayed.

Why would you want such an unsable build? Most of the stuff isn't even working yet. Let OP stabilize this build first. Also OP, can you add in this build the ability to put the clock in the middle of the status bar? Or the ability to disable the bootscreen for a faster boot? Or the ability to change the status bar opacity?

what do you think is the percentage of bluetooth to work on android 4.3?.
since we'll now be working with bluedroid unlike the blueZ we used in CM10/10.1?

If you had read his messages (for example, in Thomas' threat), you would not ask.
I did read in issues only no hdmi out but who knows.. it seems strange to me that's the only problem in the first experimental build and unfortunately I won't be able to try it before tomorrow evening (no internet) ;( well I'll see tomorrow great job in any case tilal thanks for keeping developing on T :good:
Yes RIL and GPS are both working in any case. That is why HDMI out is listed as the only bug.
You are great at last a official thread about omni can't wait to try it thanks to you!
Downloading
Has anybody tested the multi-window, does it work?
EDIT: Multi-windows IS working, haven't had anny issue so far. Thanks tilal =D
Everything seems to be running smoothly, even without full wiping from CM 10.2. Unfortunately, it seems that the OmniROM features haven't been included in this series of nightly builds, so I'll probably hold until they are merged.
Good work, @tilal6991!!!
Fantastic work @tilal6991!

Make sure the file you downloaded isn't corrupt, you can also wipe data before flashing
for any reason I am always stuck on boot after flashing...I followed instructions in OP precisely of course...feel a little noobish :silly:
EDIT: ok, got it workin now...that's what I did (maybe useful for others in same situation):
- flashed OMNIRom 4.3 first
- booted in Recovery
- flashed OMNIROM 4.4
- Full Wipe
- reboot
- booting back in Recovery
- flashing Gapps
- reboot
fyi, I was coming from latest MIUI
First of all, thanks tilal for your great work!
Not any major issue so far. Sound seems a bit laggy though. I also got 2 blue screens.
Suggested recovery for flashing this? TWRP?

good but not yet
Still no camera, laggy unlock screen and lots of random reboots.
Anyone tried 247? i think the bugs mentioned above still persist.
be patient guys, it's an alpha build...
I used fxp247 3 days, restart only once. and The camera is working fine
No bugs
Works PERFECT, no bugs so far for me. :good:
Much smoother and less unremovabloe bloatware than Beanstalk. Though also Beanstalk has some nasty modds that are awesome, but i guess it can all be installed/flashed if googled. And also beanstalk is way slower after TB restore all my apps.
Thank You FXP Team! Camera works perfectly. The ONLY bug i know so far, after installing last night is that camera button wont activate camera. Any fix for that? Or is there som specific forum/thread fo xperia zr cm11 rom Qs?

Latest CM nightly stuck in endless bootanimation. Erased and wiped everything, reinstalled, again the same. Is it just me ?

Latest nightly with CM11.0 seems to be running very nicely. So far smooth experience with no bugs spotted. Only missing feature : when phone is off and you hold physical camera button, it should start the camera but it dosen't. Same thing when you're on the lock screen, physical button dosen't work there. However it does work on the homescreens and start up really well. Another thing, I flashed Google Dialer add-on. The Google Dialer worked properly but I kept on getting popup "com.android.phone" has stopped, especially when I wanted to change quick setting pulldown menu. Last thing, it identifies my device to be a Xperia Z not ZR and in device model it says my device is "C5503" but it actually is "C5502". Everything else seems to be going really well.
devs could you look at some of the outstanding issues...

Ignore this information about CM 10. You will extract the boot.img according the version chosen. If you want CM 10.2, will flash the boot.img from this version, which is inside the zip file.
So what's working, what isn't and any known bugs?

No bug here so far. I am using it everyday.
Main Used apps every day:
*Dolphin Browser
*Doubletwist (in car with bluetooth)
*Tunein radio (you have to close the app manualy to avoid battery drain, but its due to the app not to the ROM)
*Outlook
*Alarm clock (Every morning)
*Hangouts
*Phone !
Since fxp249 i have uninstalled Google+ and facebook to avoid battery drain (should try with last version but i am not found of social network anyway).
Finaly battery drain is similar to stock ROM for me.
Charging time is a little bit longer than with stock. If you are charging the night like me its not an issue at all.
Bluetooth : OK
Wifi (wpa2) : OK
3g H+ : higher speed than stock! (France / Virgin)
GPS : OK
Give it a try switching between apps is really buttersmooth compared to stock.
Thanks to fxp and all the team for their work.

If you know what CyanogenMod is ( which is better before you flash this) you should know that the answer is no !

Battery drain
The only problem is battery drain, the applications that cause this are: android system and android platform

This ROM is an unofficial build on CyanogenMod 12.1. Originaly (back in November 2014), the project was only about the kernel but I thought that a full ROM might a better.
So, why would you install this ROM ?
The main reason would be to upgrade significantly the kernel :
- get rid of the old LNX.LA.3.5.1 kernel base (from February 2014) and switch to a brand new LA.BF lollipop base
- to get a smoother experience of CyanogenMod
- to enjoy some CAF taste in all of his glory
- if you are an enthusiast
This ROM uses custom HALs so I'm not responsable of incompatibility with eventual custom kernels and I won't "Add support"
ROM Features :
- Based off latest generic CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly source
- OTA updates via built-in CMUpdater (LZMA Compressed)
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 display HAL (improved display performance)
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 media HAL (improved video performance)
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 audio HAL (improved audio performance)
- Latest Motorola LPB23.13-37 5.1 Vendor Files
- Latest kernel.org f2fs binaries
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 Media Codecs / Audio Policy / Bluetooth configs
- LZMA Compressed recovery images
- QCOM Bionic Optimizations
Kernel Features :
- Based off latest CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 kernel source from Qualcomm
- As clean as possible, it matches CAF
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 Wi-Fi Prima driver (better wifi performance)
- Uses ZEN i/O Scheluder by default
- First Lollipop Overclock
- Underclocking
- Smartmax Governor
- My own akm8963 driver re-work for LPM/HBM mode
- The best is in comming
But, why is it in alpha ?:
It's in alpha state because not many people tested it and maybe there are some unknown bugs.
Speaking of bugs here they are :
Code:
[B]Known bugs[/B]
- 5 sec blackscreen at boot (doesn't affect bootime) [B][COLOR="red"][/COLOR]the first boot blackscreen is even longer so just wait and it will boot, builds or tested do not worry[/B]
- Offline charge is broken (same reason as blacksreen)
I released even if those bugs because they doesn't break the ROM experience itself (and because I wait for realeasing this ROM since ages)
They will, of course, fixed as soon as possible.

How to install ?
If you are coming from an official CM12.1 Nightlies you should dirty flash (flash my ZIP on top of your existing rom without too much issues). If you encounter any issues (report and) do the method detailled bellow.
1) Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD
2) Reboot in Bootloader Mode
3) Go to "Recovery" (Vol -) and confirm (Vol +)
4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5) Wipe Dalvik cache
6) Install the ROM zip
7) Install the Gapps zip
8) Install SuperSU zip
9) Reboot

It's fully stable, you just don't see 5 sec from the bootanimation.
I will install it and try it but I need to charge my Moto G Good job !!!
Damn, bootanimation doesnt show at all, i reflashed three times thinking something was wrong, and i lost patience thinking my phone turned off after google logo, but it booted. It works great btw, stable and all, and overall fast. Nice work. Now just remove the stupid cm theme engine and implement layers, and you have most custom unoffical cyanogenmod rom.

Yeah, the bootanimation bug is annoying, but you'll see that you get just a 5 sec blackscreen on reboots. It was just the first boot xD
Hmmm ... I don't think I will remove the CM Theme Engine : as I said, this project wasn't a ROM originally (I made a ROM to avoid HAL issues actually) I just wanted to make big background optimizations. So on the apparence/look part, I won't differ from CM.
My opinion (is still black screen after flashing). Just make optimizations and don't change the features or other things. To be just an optimized CM 12.1 ROM.

Too bad, well i guess i'll stay with the stock theme then, because i seek for stability, and that's pretty rare nowadays.

And we can expect updates on this project? I'm not asking for ETA, i just want to be shure this is not a one time thing
omg, thanks for this @h2o64.. gonna try it out...

All my working projects (AOSParadox, TWRP, or CM now) are getting continuous work and updates. I just don't like to post "empty" updates with an un-interessting changelog.
I just made the first stage of this project xD So much is about to come
Thanks for supporting
forgot to ask, if compile the kernel and use to latest nigtlies. it will be okay? @h2o64

Hi,
I installed all my apps about 30 apps and every app work without problems fc or other problems except one: Zonga - it's a music streaming app developed by Vodafone Romania and in other ROMs it's working but here it doesn't have sound and If I press play doesn't play from first I need to skip the track and the next one plays without music.
I will attach soon a logcat.
