I rooted my droid 4 and changed the bootloader. then i tried to change the text when i went to install it it said to reboot. when i rebooted it, it stayed in the rebooting animation. i already held down the power button and the down volume but it restarted the phone and stayed in the bootloop. can someone please help.
power off phone, hold both volume buttons, press power
then re-flash firmware with rsd lite or droid 4 utility
i held down the volume keys and pressed the power button, but there wasnt anything there that was talking about flashing except BP SBF Flash
Ap fastboot

Here's my dilemma. I flashed CM7 RC4 to my n1 last night, now it is stuck in a loop of the boot animation and will not proceed any further. I'd boot into the bootloader, but my power button's been dead for a month, ADB won't recognize my phone to reboot-bootloader. Am I boned?
Pull the battery, connect your phone to a charger then hold the trackball while re-inserting the battery. Make take a few attempts, but it should eventually boot into fastboot. You could also hold volume down instead of the trackball if you just want hboot...

Now i'm getting the battery indicator flashing green/orange. I can mess with it until I eventually get it charging solid. Is there any quick workaround for this?
Now I'm in fastboot. Is there a way to get into recovery without power button?
Is your bootloader unlocked?

yes. indeed it is. If it helps, I have the latest CWM installed.
Place a copy of your recovery image in your sdk tools folder, connect via fastboot and type:
fastboot boot name-of-recovery.img
(use the real name of your recovery image)

What steps should I take to force recovery mode if I have an EVO? I've tried holding volume up while power but it vibrates three times and does nothing. I'm stuck in the boot loader screen.
*-**EDIT
I was able to fix it doing a hard reset.
Turn the power off. If your HTC EVO 4G is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
Hold the Volume Down button
Press and release the Power button
You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
Press and release the Power button
Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
So I installed a TWRP RECOVERY a Motorola RAZR i, using the Flash Tool.
It installed but I could never access it from the POWER VOLUME UP & DOWN method.
So I had to turn the phone on and enable USB Debugging then use ADB to reboot into recovery via the Flash Tool.
Then I was working on a PORT when I flashed a ROM, it went into bootflop, now I cannot get into the BOOTLOADER at all.
It never works, it will show the normal warning sign and then just go straight to the ROM.
I tried using RSD with an SBF File but it did not work, as I have to be in fastboot and I cannot be in without going into the bootloader.
Is there no hope for this device...
I have the feeling that twrp isn't flashed right. U did use fastboot?
For the bootloop. Hold volume down the whole time when it boots/bootloops, it will boot in ap flashmode (fastboot). Maybe u need to stop pressing the button after the first restart(when holding the volume down button) at the moment u get the warning.
Easily recoverable, just need some trying with the above way.

My method to come into fastboot-mode while having a bootloop:
1. when in bootloop press all buttons (power, VolUp, VolDown) and keep pressed
2. when screen goes off, leave the VolUp button alone, keep VolDown and Power pressed.
3. when phone vibrates, leave power alone and keep VolDown pressed
4. the bl-unlock-warning shows up and after a few seconds you should be in fastboot-mode
5. now you can leave VolDown alone
Maybe you need some tries, cause its a question of timing, but for me it works.
Thanks...

I am very grateful for your help. Thank You ever so much. The solution worked perfectly. You saved my phone
Hello. I have a razr I and decided to unlock the bootloader. I tried the button combination power + volume down several times, but the phone just powers up normally (actually rhe screen flashes for a second, but doesn't go into fastboot mode. I trided using adb reboot fastboot but the device just reboots. What can I do about it?
NVM, just did it by fastboot reboot bootloader...
Ok, one more thing. It seems my device ignores the key combo, but I was still able to get into fastboot mode by using adb. However, I have tried to flash a custom recovery with no success.
I tred using the supplied installer and after rebooting I get to the open robot screen with the red exclamation mark. Then, after holding some keys (not sure if power or power + volume down I get into recovery, but it's still the stock android recovery. Then I tried flashing the recovery image from fastboot mode. It sait the recovery was flashed, but still cannot boot into recovery. What's wrong with my phone?

Just incase you need to do it in the future:
Hold volume down, then hold the power button. When it begins to vibrate release the power button and keep the volume down button pressed until you get into fastboot.

Alright. So how about the never appearing CWM recovery?
So the kids changed the password on the tablet so I cannot unlock it. The tab is not rooted. If I try to boot holding power and volume up nothing happens. It just boots normally.
I tried putting the latest firmware on the SD and booting but nothing happens. Just boots normally.
Do I have any options here?
Thanks a bunch.
Hey there! Try to boot pressing volume down and power or middle volume and power. It should get you in recovery and you should be able to reset from there. You should see an android with an exclamation mark, then press volume down to get in recovery.

Seems any key combination I try does not work. Power+Volume up, Power+ Volume down, Power+middle/both
It just always boots normally.
And if I try to user adb to reboot into recovery it tells me to check my device to give it authorization which I cannot do since I can't unlock it.
I restored the twrp backup of 5.0.2 from a thread on xda for xt1068. But when I booted into recovery from bootloader my phone's twrp recovery doesn't shows up instead a bug droid with an red exclamation shows. I tried flashing latest twrp.img via mfastboot method but that was of no help. Everything goes fine but the recovery shows warning Android symbol. Help needed!
I tried holding the volume up button for 10 seconds and then pressing and releasing the Power button while volume button still pressed when the warning shows but that doesn't helps either. Should I flash custom recovery once and then again try flashing twrp? I need to restore my twrp backup of 4.4 so that I could get the official update.

Press volume up first then power.
I think u not correcly flashed.
Button combination changed in Lollipop.
Press the power button and tap the vol up button to enter recovery.
