Help | Note Down ! - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys
i got a note 1 N7000
the 4.1.2 rom was on the device
i decided to instal a kitkat cyanogenmod 11 |nightly| on the device
according to this guide :
http://www.androible.net/root-galax...m-recovery-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean-firmware/
i rooted the device which i doubt if i did this right
then i copied the rom file in the internal storage
i got to recovery , got a backup , wipe & reset factory
then i installed the rom but it didn't install correctly and i got the failure message in recovery
now i unpluged the device and turn it on , it shows a yellow warning and doesn't go any further
i could use some help to install a 4.4 version of android
thanks ♥

May he you wiped system that's why it's not booting.. If you are able to get into recovery then transfer raw r4 into sd card. Then boot into recovery. Flash raw kernel first. Then reboot into recovery. Flash the kitkat rom.

yes , i can access to recovery
can you get me a link of that rom ?
which kitkat rom do you prefer to install on this phone ?

i flashed a R5 kernel but the recovery mode has changed to Team Win Recovery Project 2.6.3.0
and i can't mount the device or flash a rom
how do i get back to previous recovery ?
can i instal a recovery with odin ?
P.S : i solved this one

Finaly ! i installed the 4.4.2 rom
but the WIFI doesn't work
any idea ?

Doesn't work? Means? Does it turn on or not? If yes and then can't see any networks, then go to advanced wifi settings and set the region.

For the future:
Philz kernel is used for TouchWiz ROM's (based off what samsung gives us). You flashed a TW kernel onto a CM 10.1 ROM. If you still want to try out CM, then boot into recovery, do a full wipe, flash CM and gapps. After that is done perform a data wipe (factory reset) through recovery

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Ace bricked ?

I decided to update my ace's firmware to KitKat using this ROM cm-11-20131229-UNOFFICIAL-cooper++XR.zip, so firstly I rooted the phone then i installed Clockwork Mod Recovery 6.0.4.6 to install said ROM. I did all the steps as normal, however when I rebooted the phone after the installation had taken place it was stuck on the cid boot up screen for 6+ hours which isn't normal, so I tried to start in recovery mode in order to reformat, when to my surprise I got a blue screen. To sum up I cant start the phone as it gets stuck on cid boot up logo and I cant go into recovery mode to reformat, are there any possible fixes? If there are I would be eternally grateful.
Cheers.

If you really need a kitkat version for your ace 5830, Just forget about the current scenario and please follow the steps
1. Firstly connect the phone into download mode to pc and flash stock firmware via odin
you can refer the link for this http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-in...mware-on-samsung-galaxy-ace-s5830-using-odin/
2. Install clockwork mode recovery(cwm) version 5 not 6
you can find the same via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18178563&postcount=13
( or ) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
From the above google drive link you will get the CWM recovery version 5 which named as recovery-clockwork-5.zip
3. You will get access to stock recovery after you finished flashing stock firmware via odin
4. I would suggest below the kitkat rom link which is able to flash it via CWM version 5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2561861
5. Copy the kitkatrom.zip and cwm5.zip into sdcard
6. Enter stock recovery and update to cwm5.zip
7. Do factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache
8. Install the kitkatrom.zip via recovery
9. Finally reboot and Enjoy the Kitkat version
Hit thanks if I helped you.

I believe in TWRP there is an option to allow you to adb push files to the phone.
This may work - http://teamw.in/ADBSideload
Thanks
I succued to figure it out .. I did like you said.. I pushed a Rom to the phone with the adb and its works thanks for the answer anyway

ROM unable to install

This is my second attempt to install custom ROM and I failed... I did everything step by step and it doesn't work. Or it doesnt boot at all or it craches in recovery mode while installing update.
This time i used some nightly unofficial and it stoped installing in recovery :S This is so annoyng
I downloaded stock lastest from code support for my Samsung S5830 because obviously there is non stable version of custom ROM right now.
I do not advise to go over Android 2.3.6 for S5830 or you will burn down your phone system...

Ok now you are unrooted on your new polish right. So now root it with UniversalGingerbreadroot.zip (google it.) Flash an older version of CWM(5.0) through the stock recovery. Finally install a stable custom rom initially do not go for CM roms as for testing try some other stock based rom and if successful you can advance to CWM.
All the best.

Here you'll find ROOT and CWM files to get ready your Ace, than you'll be able to install Customs STOCK Roms, CM7.x, CM9.x, CM10.x
Read carefully the threads in GT-S5830 Android Development section and follow the dev's instructions
PS: To get CM11.x you'll need to flash CWM6.x or TWRP

[Q] Bootlop after failed wiping data [Solved]

Hi guys, i need your help..
I was tried to install a custom ROM and i use CWM v6 to install it (i'm on stock ROM | JB 4.3 | FW .205 | locked bootloader | recovery installed : CWM & TWRP), first step i format the /system and is successfull, then the next step wipe data/factory reset but i get stuck process on:
--- wiping data ---
clear /data done.
clear /cache...........
I don't know why, but i've been waiting for 20 minutes and still stuck like that than i decides to turning off the phone with tiny button at bottom of battery (not power button), i turn on the phone again and then i've got bootlop ( what.... where is my recovery ) i didn't noticed the recovery still in there because there is no LED notify when i turn on the phone, just SONY logo :crying:
Is that happen because wiping data didn't completed and causing my recovery also gone ?
So what should i do ? can i get the phone back again ? I have the stock ROM backup on my sd card and on my laptop because before i try to install a custom ROM, i've created current ROM backup with CWM.
please help me guys..

You wiped /system so your recoveries are gone.
On older Recoveries using the wipe to install new rom can take ages so just leave it and eventually it will finish, latest version of Philz (in Bagyusz/Nexus ROMs) seems to fix this issue.
Use DSSMEX triple recovery and use philz not cwm as its a much nicer recovery (but the clean still takes ages as its an older version)
Use flashtool to flash stock rom and start from scratch to re-install custom rom.

You have bootloop because your phone is essentially empty of any OS or recoveries.
Flashtool to stock, find dssmex triple recovery and install that in stock when rooted, load into Philz, clean to install a new ROM and then just wait, it will take a while usually dont worry unless it takes over an hour.
Then flash the custom ROM of choice.

Can I know what Custom ROM are you trying to install?
Sometimes wiping could take time, and I am not sure why. If happens again in the future, just let it be.
As you are using LBL, I am unable to elaborate nor understand how recovery has gone. (WARNING: FOREIGN LANGUAGE) Recoveries for LBL are stored in the ramdisk OR the FOTAkernel. This is due to the fact that Xperia SP does not has an exclusive "recovery" partition in the rootfs. I dont know if wiping data would trash them.
You can easily recover your phone by flashing a stock ftf. You may follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56717587&postcount=4

Thanks for your explanation sir :good:
Flashtool to stock means i need .ftf file to restore the stock rom ? is it possible to restore stock rom through nandroid backup file that i've created using cwm ?
Well, the problem is solved. My phone back again and a custom rom has been installed.

Dont use flashtool..... Youre wasting time.
Just flash Williams kernel using fastboot and flash the custom rom you want.....
