Problem is the phone just infinitely reboots to the galaxy s5830 screen.

CWM 6 is not stable and you can't install anything other than KitKat roms with them. So the first thing you need to do is flash your stock rom back using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (go to the "Preparation" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

If you are still interested in installing Kit Kat rom, then you can use the Kit Kat for all by @Salim El Yabouri which can be flashed from CWM 5. Here is the link,

Wrong device thread buddy. This is Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Q/A
Fix
My friends ace (S5830), was stuck at samsung logo after flashing a 4.4 ROM, It was able to enter
1. Recovery Mode
2. Download Mode
3. Other mode, which I do not know what its called (Accessed by pressing volume up + volume down + home button + power button)
I tried to flash it in Odin but it gets stuck at SetupConnection, so I tried to flash it with This, but unfortunately, after this, it led to black screen only, no download mode, no recovery mode, only the unknown mode (Accessed via all button press, the third method I have said), which I know that it is working because my laptop detects it. I just wanna ask if it is STILL Fixable by using Odin, Haimdell, or other software (only) available online or will it be only fixed by sending it to Repair Centers, TIA!

You usually get the "setup connection" error when you are in the Emergency Download Mode instead of Download Mode. You go to Emergency Download Mode by holding down Volume Up + Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button in which it loads a screen that says "Emergency Download Mode" and you go to Download mode by holding down Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button in which it does load the correct download screen with the yellowish message that say "Downloading…". Please make sure you are going to the Download Mode. Then you installed a rom which was not meant for our device, thus bricking it in the process. The rom was designed for Galaxy Ace S5830i and not for our Galaxy Ace S5830. You have basically hard-bricked you phone and that's why you get the black with no mode accessible. So far none of the hard-bricked users were even able to solve this problem with USB Jig. Better go to Service Center. Here is the link to similar situation,

Move it to /data partition or try to dlete all your Play Store's data and uninstall all the updates and then open it again or reflash the gapps again

For starter's, the key combination for Download Mode in Ace is Vol Down+ Home+ Power Button and not Vol Up+ Vol Down+ Power button. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Preparations" section),

If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Mine did the same thing when I flashed with Kies.
Try this: Hold Volume UP, Home button and on/off button together until a screen with a few options appears. Select Wipe/factory reset from the list using the volume up/down button. Select ok and reboot. You will loose all your data but your phone will work again.

BTW You did the upgrade the right way. With Kies you don't need to go into recovery or download mode before flashing. Follow the previous posters instructions and if that doesn't work you'll need to search around here more, for other flashing methods or just to find out if your internal sdcard is dead.
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I don't think so... Anyway I had a perfectly working Galaxy Ace coming with stock Android 2.3.4. So I tried rooting it, and I did see the superuser icon but I couldn't apps into the SD card. So I ignored it and downloaded a custom rom and entered recovery mode, wiped data and cache first and rebooted. Then I installed the rom in recovery mode and it said installation successful but when I rebooted I got stuck at the "GALAXY ACE" page and I noticed a weird small blue triangle at the top left hand. And nothing happens. Please help it's nearly brand new! My parents don't know yet... If there is a way to use the com and download the stock rom please provide step by step instructions that was my first smartphone so much help would be appreaciated!

Am not an expert but i would take battery out then put back in holding volume down key home key and power key at sametime to put into download mode then flash your stock rom via odin to get it back running again
have you done a datwipe in cwm after installing? try that first
Hey there!
Before We get to ODIN
Start phone in recovery mode ( Center Button + Power Button ) and then:
- Do a Factory Reset
- Do Wipe Cache
Then Reboot
If he boots great!
If not and still remains at ACE screen do this:
1st - Download Odin 4.38 (http://www.4shared.com/rar/UqBhp5Qd/Odin_Multi_Downloader_v438_www.html)
2nd - Download Cooper.ops (http://hotfile.com/dl/138852983/36a55ea/Cooper_v1.0.ops.rar.html)
3rd - Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/ and search firmware for your s5830
Then choose the rom that suits you best (download one from your country if possible)
After the above steps are done open odin
At "option" select - "One Package, Auto-Reboot And Protect OPS"
At "select OPS" - choose "Cooper.ops" (The file you´ve downloaded)
At bottom is "One Package" - In here put the file of the room you´ve dowloaded
Finaly put phone in download mode (Vol. Down + Power Button) and connect it to your PC.
Wait for odin to recognize your phone, a yellow sign will light up, ( you need samsung kies in your computer so odin recognize your phone)
And then hit "Start"
Wait about five minutes at the end your phone should reboot by itself
And that should be it
If your phone reboots but stuck ate samsung boot animation.
Remove Battery
Put it back again
Turn your phone into recovery mode ( Center Button + Power Button )
Do Wipe Factory/Reset and Wipe cache, reboot,
and your good to go!
I rebooted I got stuck at the "GALAXY ACE" page and I noticed a weird small blue triangle at the top left hand

the blue triangle isn't this CWM 5?
or if can you get to recovery mode try flashing the original stock recovery first
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437426
then install a stock rom with Odin
and boot from the stock recovery to fix the phone boot
if recovery is working you should fix the phone easily with stock rom.
installing a stock rom will install the stock recovery by itself!
so no need to flash stock recovery before flashing stock rom!
Can someone please explain what went wrong here in the first place?

Was it an OTA or KIES update u did?
U rooted and on stock or any custom rom ?
If not rooted....then u can still try hitting volume up + home + power buttons all at the same time and holding them pressed till the time the same N7000 logo shows up and leave the buttons then. The phone should boot into stock recovery. Now try clearing the cache there if the option is available. If nothing works then either wipe/format your note (warning all data will be lost except the internal/external sd card) or reflash the firmware through PC odin using Dr Ketan's guide from the stickies post in the development section of note forum here on xda.
How did you update you phone? Via kies?
i am new to all these things! i haven't rooted my phone as well! jst went on to "about phone" and update. after which it didn't started. tried the vol. up home key and power didn't worked...
So it was an OTA update. Did you tried pressing volume down + home + power button for booting into download mode?
ya tried that as well but it said custom OS can cause critical problems so canceled it...

vol up+home+power should work. Try that again and keep pressing them till the time the n7000 logo shows up and leave them immediately after it.
if u are not able to get into recovery then the only way for you is to flash via odin.

No. You just flash the latest firmware you want from the PC odin. The phone will be stock rom and wont be rooted unless you run the rooting tool.
Remember to read the full post !
OK... so a couple of days ago a friend of mine screwd my phone when he tried to install clockwork recovery without rooting, I was stuck at Samsung logo, no recovery, only download mode... so today after going through tons of threads so I could use Odin with ace on win8.. I finnaly managed to un**** it... so I could re**** it again... so I followed this thread after reviving the phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
After rooting and instaling cw, I tried to install a ROM on it, namely nightly cm (found somewhere here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2188679)... I got a status 7 error cause of the assertion, which in removed, after successfully installing the ROM (or so recovery mode said) I tried reboting and it no longer turned on. Doesn't seem to charge and it won't boot...
The only things I can think of that i did wrong were:
Having under 50% battery life
Not removing sim card
PS: also before installing ROM I cleared caches and reset to fact. Settings
Any ideas on how to fix this? If not, what did I do wrong here?
EDIT: ok so i think i figured out what i did, i wanted to download this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2199575 ... i went to the "external webstie" to download, and i think i downloaded this rom "android cm_skate-userdebug-cm-10.2 (stable)" which it seems its not for my phone :S ...
Is it possible to boot into download mode now? would a usb jig work? something like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8822843&postcount=1
Or is it a lost cause?
Thanks...
PS: oh god, to think i removed the assertion that was saving my phone... ahh **facepalm** , why didnt i read the damn assertion...

Thanks for the answer, i know the "shrotcut", as i said in the op i used odin allready, but the big issue is the phone does not react to the power button, idk what the rom i installed did, if its bricked or if its just expecting a different input rather than the supposed power button, in which case the jig should work...

I completely agree with @aurisltu and @Viper The Ripper. CM 11 KitKat is still under development so its not completely stable. Also installing few apps can make it slow and laggy. But developers are currently working on it to make it stable and smooth. So you can check back in few months. In the mean time, you can go with CM 7.2 roms as they are much more stable and smooth. My personal suggestion,

Can you boot into the Download Mode? To boot into the Download Mode, hold Vol Down+ Home+ Power button until you see the yellow "Downloading..." text on the screen. If you can go to Download Mode, then you can solve the problem by reinstalling the stock rom using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin. Go to "Preparations" section to download all the necessary files including drivers.

Then try to flash again. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
