Hey guys when I bought my HTC One I put my new 3 sim card in and then changed the phone number to my old o2 number but in the settings on my phone under the about tab then in the phone identity part it has the wrong phone number, is there anyway to change this?

thats way too much hassle lol i was hoping for an easy fix lol
would running through the setup app sort out my problem?
You can modify this with a Cyanogenmod Rom as I know in Phone/settings/additional settings
This number is stored on SIM card
Edit. I don't know if you can modify with something else.

I've modified the phone number on my old HTC HD2 with this method then I putted back the SIM card back on my ONE. (Used a SIM card adapter for that because the HD2 has Mini SIM).

Everyday at one random point of the day it shows a message saying
"Sim card removed. Reboot the phone" I don't know why this is happening... I don't think it's a rom issue cause I had this in cognition and assonance(currently used)..

Most likely you just need a new sim card. Sometimes if they mishandled when taking them in or out it could damage the contacts.
I've seen a few cases where phones belonged to people who literally smoked and held the phone with the same hand at the same time had similar issues. There could be a great deal of tar on the card.
Other than that I would just check the internals and see if anything could be blocking a good.connection.

Can I buy a new similar card wihtout having to change my number? And I'm running the assonance rom and on the status bar it has h instead of 3g is that also caused by the sim card?

The sim card just let's you connect.to the network. Your phone number would be the same as your previous one.
If you ate still under warranty, flash back to stock before you take it uptown to the store and have them put a new sim in as they may notice you have a custom rom and may make note.of it.

I don't have a warranty.. so is this gonna cost a lot of money??

Just go to the AT&T store, tell them you lost your phone and need a new sim card to use on a spare phone. Most of the time it's free.
Ok thanks I'll try it out as quick as possible cause my phone is like not working now..

Did you flash a new rom on your phone with the SIM card installed in the phone?
Just tell them that you need your SIM replaced because this one is acting up. They shouldn't have a problem with that. I had mine replaced recently - there was no charge for it as well as there shouldn't be since they're a dime a dozen.

I didn't flash with my sim card in... it used to work fine and it suddenly started showing the message...

Just tell them urs is acting up, and u need a new one. They'll replace it free of cost.
I got a new sim card but that wasn't the problem... it seems that the rom assonance was a problem.. I switched over to axura and it works fine now

I just got a galaxy tab Sprint off ebay and it's still activated. 3g works. I don't think its stolen because i got the box complete with all the contents. my concern is i wont be able to activate this thing when it eventually turns off.
anyone have a similar experience?
You can still use it as a wifi only tab.

I know, I would eventually like to add it to my Sprint plan.
Then what is the problem ? Here in europe you can use any phone you want with the plan you subscribe.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
that it may be linked to another account??
Why don't you just contact the guy that sold it to you?
Sorry but are you guys on drugs or something?
All you do is put another sim card in, Or am I mistaken and Sprint do not use sim cards or something?
It's a cdma version, so no sim card. But i think you can still use it with another plan. Try to contact sprint.

Sorry to bother you people with this, but could someone tell me what type of SIM card the "HTC Vivid" takes. The phone is in transit and I want to buy a SIM card from "Straight Talk" now. They are asking whether it's a standard SIM or micro SIM. It's an unlocked phone and I'm going to be buying an AT&T SIM.
Thanks

Hi. My brother's note is not rooted and he didn't do anything in it. Today he changed his sim card and when he started up his phone, he cant make any calls or sms. Network signal changes every second from having network to blocked icon. Both sim cards belong to the same network company. He changed back to his old sim card and showed the same. Warranty is out and im ready to fix it if it needs any firmware changes or rooting but he doesnt want to do any of that. I will do it if there is no other solutions.
Thanks

Hey I have a sprint HTC One and im wondering if i trim my sim card and put it on a Sprint iPhone 5 would it work ? If it does can someone tell me.. I just want to swap phones whenever i want too
You have to call sprint in order to swap phones. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the SIM card is only for international uses. Not Sprint to Sprint

I don't think it works like that on sprint see the sim card is just to get on lte. I remember when I got my replacement HTC one the sim card stayed the same but in the system sprint said it didn't match the one they had on record so my phone wasn't connecting to LTE. After a quick call and putting the right numbers in I got LTE. So you would still need the phone to be active which involves calling sprint to do the swap

Yes. The phone uses the sim card to connect to LTE. That's the only reason it is there. Your phone number isn't attached to it like GSM. So swapping the sim card won't do anything.

Nah, they are all wrong. Just go.ahead and use a pair of scissors or a sharp.exactly knife to trim away the excess plastic.
I've done it a million times...

Pretty sure I know a thing or two. I mean you can trim it down and stuff it in a different phone but that's not going to swap your phone number to that phone.
