You do realize that no one here is some executive for lg who knows this right? You're asking cellphone fans to tell you insider information that in sure most employees for lg don't know. You may as well ask who's going to run the super bowl so you can place your bets now and get rich.

You joined this forum in 2005 and have over 600 posts. You should know where certain posts belong (This is the general section, yet you posted a question here even though there's a Q&A section). You also asked for an ETA, You should know that members should never ask for ETAs.
Once we have a custom recovery (If you would have spent a little time looking in the development section, you would quickly realized that we don't have a custom recovery yet) i'm sure it could be ported. We all want KitKat, but sitting around and making pointless threads (like this one) isn't going to make it come any faster.

Thread closed, all discussion on Kitkat goes here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733949

[Q] Will LG O4X receive an official update to 4.2.2 Jelly Bean?

Hi devs,
I need to ask a simple question... Will the LG Optimus 4X HD be able to receive an update to the new 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, since the phone meets the minimum requirements for the update?
P.S. Please DO NOT tell me about any mods around. I am not a fan of rooting, so sorry.
Thanks!
Highly doubting O4X will ever get updated to 4.2.2

What.... Ah..... Damn why can't that LG just give out the freaking update? O4X is so good, yet LG doesn't want to further expand their high-end device to a better version of Android!!! Just my luck to have bought this device! Next time I am going to buy the S4!

Are you posting just to annoy people? If you don't want to root or Custom ROM your device then why join XDA?
We've only recently got 4.1.2, and now we have unlocked bootloader status we can do what we want without waiting for LG.

I don't think lg will bother with a 4.2 update, I don't think 4.3 is far away so it it outdated by the time it was released anyway.
You've already stated that your opposed to it but I'm on CyanogenMod 4.2.2 and it already better than what lg would release anyway
I've sent a message to LG Open Source about future updates, but i doubt we will get some infos..

wtf i remember someone predicted idiots would ask for 4.2.2 after 4.1.2 was released.
now it actually happened. Some people just wouldn't get satisfied for whatever they are given.

I'm sorry, sounds like you have a problem with me asking a question, I did Browse a few pages, I came across one thread which was talking about the USA update.
Just had another quick look, found two threads talking about 4.2.2, however how am i suppose to know if its a official update or been flashed manually ?
Never mind.
THREE UK
Three told me today they haven't officially released 4.2.2 yet. Yet I had the update around two weeks ago:silly:. They are also saying that 4.3 is in the works, from what I understand they are trying to make their bloat-ware compatible with it

I've never had a problem with anyone asking questions, what frustrates me is People clogging the forums with needless threads to ask questions that have already been asked or answered or which could have been posted on an existing thread.
Well, this could be asked/searched on this thread.

Moto X OS Updater

Hello everyone,
I am posting here today on the topic of the Moto X OS Updater. I have the VZW Moto X Dev Ed running Rooted Kit Kat 4.4. I do not want the new update and it is asking me everyday if I would like to install. As I am not interested in doing so I would like to remove this. Is there a way to shut down the updater or maybe even remove the apk? If so what is it called or how do I do so?
Thanks in advance!

The main reason people want to get back to 4.2.2 is to root. with the DE you can root with any version because of the unlocked bootloader.

well it is very known what you can and can't flash, it's stickied in the general thread. CartlandSmith said:
From what others are posting using the unofficial fxz, you can run the 4.4 system with the 4.4.2 bootloader and I would presume the 4.2.2 system, too although I don't see where anyone has specifically tried that. However, if you do run a lower version of the system than the bootloader and accidentally take the 4.4.2 OTA again, you will brick. So you would need to freeze the OTA app to avoid that.

L90 Dual D410 Lollipop 5.0 Upgrade

I did a quick search on Google for Lollipop roms for my LG L90 Dual D410 and found these pages:
http://ihpg.blogspot.ru/2014/10/upgradeupdate-lg-l90-dual-d410-to-50.html
http://www.lollipop-roms.org/mp3-0/lg-l90-dual-d410-6171.html
(the text is identical)
Since it said the info comes for XDA Devs, I decided to come to the source, but didn't find anything about this ROM.
Am I just a bad searcher? Or is this a scam to get me to fill their stupid surveys and earn them some affiliate money? (or worse...)
Thanks

In a text form, most that don't know will take "can" and "will" as the same thing. Hence, why I said "false hope"... I learned that only YOU know what YOUR taking about. Trying to get others to understand in a forum is a whole different ball game. I'm not getting bent out of shape, but to hint to someone, that you "can" fix your phone if you look at a particular section; is just wrong. Especially, when it's not a fix present. Just my 2 cents...
