Hello,
I have my brothers AT&T LG G Flex, model # LG-D950. When the Kit-Kat update was rolled out I updated my device with no problem. My brother on the other hand said that he attempted the update and it put the device into Fastboot Mode. I think he tried to root it and screwed it up. I have spent hours searching for a solution and trying to fix the device. I have tried multiple programs to try to flash the phone, and cannot find one that will recognize it in fastboot mode.I have tried to follow other threads to go back to stock and tried booting it with different button combinations to try to get it into download mode, and have not had any luck. Anyone out there have any knowledge on LG devices and how fastboot works and a way out of it?
Here is a picture of what I get when I plug the device into the computer
Flash stock recovery and reboot

Thanks for the replies... It has been a while since I have worked on android phones and never used the SDK... The most I have done is root custom recovery and custom rom. BUT I am going to give it my best shot and let you know how I make out.. Wish me luck! Downloading SDK now
Help Me!
I now have the G Flex back from my brother and I am still trying to get something out of it. So far I have no progress. I don't have much experience with CMD or the Development Kits so someone please try and help me with this. With some guidance I can probably do it.

All,
New to htc and flashing, and try doing at 3am didn't help either. hope someone can help. Will paypal $50 to anyone that can help. Thanks in advance.
Here's what i did
using One_S_All-In-One_Kit_v3.5 for all my modding
got token
unlocked bootloaded
didn't flash any recovery
flash a new .img kernel, but i used a boot.img from a zip file (home2wake zip) - don't ask why, i wasn't thinking lol
phone rom was all black, keeps rebooting
i managed to flash recovery, recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-m7wls.img
then wanted to restore stock rom
so i downloaded, this rom, http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html
flashed zip using recovery
went through the rom custom installation of what i wanted installed.
After that it rebooted and stuck on green htc screen
i can get back into boot loader, but can't load recovery, can't factory reset, any option i select, the screen flash and sends me back to bootloader
rom won't load, can't get into recover, computer not detecting phone
Please help!!!
Check out this maybe a RUU will help -

Why did you use one s kit, I'm confused
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
you can try to load ADB Fastboot on your PC, then connect your phone via usb, be sure to have all of the drivers.
in bootloader, if it reads FASTBOOT USB, then you can us
fastboot flash recovery (Name of recovery).img
once that is done you should be able to at least get back into recovery....
check the link for recovery file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236418
I am no expert, but my guess would be to go back to stock boot / recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236418
Relock your phone: fastboot oem lock
Install the RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904
And in the future don't use an All-In-One-Kit meant for another phone (The One S in your case)
p.s. Another thread that may help get you back to square one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251800
thanks all,
will try all the suggestions above tonight, will let you guys know how it goes. i used the all one s because it was gui and easy and lots of extra and functions. but i guess the extra made it worst.
Right now when i plug in my phone the computer doesn't detect anything, hopefully the adb can talk to it to flash a new recovery/rom/kernel.
Pm me
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 2
It wasn't the extras that messed it up. It was the fact you were using an AIO that isn't for your device. That's a big no no.

i was using this, all of the recovery on there were for samsung s3/s4/and special edition. so i couldn't get to the recovery. Then i started tweaking around with the extras and flashed a boot.img to a kernel. failed
Android Revolution ROM is not for the sprint htc one. fyi
First you'll need this file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904
Extract to someplace you can find it, maybe the desktop
if you power the phone down then hold the vol - button does it boot into bootloader?
if so make sure you have the htc fastboot drivers installed from htc sync
if your on a windows machine from command prompt navigate to the platform-tools folder
for example
mine is in C:/users/ray/downloads/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64/sdk/platform-tools
in command prompt issue the command
fastboot oem lock
once the bootloader is re-locked
issue the command
fastboot oem rebootRUU
the phone should reboot into a black screen with greenish htc letters
find the setup.exe file from the ruu file and run it.
if all goes well you should be back to stock with a locked bootloader.
good luck

Let this thread be a lesson that 1) don't mess with your phone if you don't know what you're doing and 2) don't flash a GSM ROM on your Sprint phone because it wipes your boot and recovery partition (on GSM phones, it wipes data and system but sprints partitions are different).

Failing after making a bunch of random attempts to do something doesn't constitute learning. Next time you should make sure you actually understand what it is that you are trying to do before you do it, and maybe then you won't end up almost completely wiping your phone clean.
You're lucky that the international One's and Sprint Ones partitions aren't like the Sprint/international S3, or else you would've overrided your bootloader as well and had a brick on your hands.
I am new to this forum persay i have been browsing and learning for a lil while now. And now i got a issue i cant find or resolve on my own. I bought a droid incredible s today and it was going into the hard rest menu ( power down and volume down ) and i downloaded a new firware for it of here and was getting ready to install it and now it wont go into the hard rest menu. I don't know what happened... Any tips would be greatly appreciated
Uhm.. could it be that you flashed firmware of another device?

If you did a Wipe Data/System Reset from the boot loader menu, you have reset the device settings and the FASTBOOT option is now enabled which prevents you from getting into the boot loader.
You need to boot the phone normally and then disable the FASTBOOT mode and also turn on adb debugging mode while you are at it.
In order to flash the custom ROMs on this forum, you will need to unlock the boot loader and then install a custom recovery.
Sounds like you need to do some more reading and studying about how to successfully mod your IncS.

Also this is really impossible unless:
1. You have brick (which could be possible considering the fact that it seems you don't know what you are doing based on what I read)
2. You have no battery left (which could also be fully possible)
Like tpbklake suggested, I really do encourage you to read a bit more. Screwing these little things up really could lead to a dead phone.
Firmware update was a over the air update from verizon. Nothing out of the normal. And i haven't done anything to brick the phone. It just wont go into bios now. I didn't install anything just tried factory restore of bios menu.

If you got an ota from Verizon, then you have a droid inc 2 which has it's own forum. Although they are very similar, you cannot run the ROM on this forum.
Did you read my previous post about System Reset will disable you from getting into the boot loader screen? You need to disable FASTBOOT mode and then you should be able to get into the boot loader screen.
So trying any and everything to remove safestrap and install the latest ota i think i wiped all my data and my system cause now i just sit on the blue motorola m forever. I have an at&t moto x. the only thing i can do is fastboot with vol down and after that none of those options bring me anywhere. am i completely f'd or is there some way to fix this? thanks for the help guys.

Do you have any experience with fastboot? If not, google how to download it for whatever type of computer you have. I'm on a linux machine so its pretty straight forward, but I think its easy on any machine. If you're on windows you'll need the motorola drivers as well. You'll also need a factory stock image for at&t moto x.
After that it's just a matter of flashing the image to your phone and starting over.
I'm sorry, forgot about the locked bootloader. Listen to the guy before me.
If there are any pictures or stuff like that on your phone, i'm afraid those will probably be lost.
I will try to find helpful links for all this stuff, but I just wanted to give you something to look for while I did that.

lnstalling rsdlite now. will update. thanks a ton.
Okay, got it.
1. Go here and download that (hopefully you're on a windows machine):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1348587
2. then go here and download the AT&T one. The third one down is KitKat, so just go with that, since it's what you're trying to do anyway.
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost_rcica/list.php
3. Make sure you have these drivers installed:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_detail/a_id/94931/p/30,6720,8696
Now, go into RSDLite, click on load or open or whatever it says and go to the FXZ from step 2.
Click start.
Should be that easy, let me know if there are any hiccups.
thank you sooo much!

I'm helping a friend on the same situation.
Phone doesn't boot.
Stuck on M logo.
Locked bootloader.
Able to go to AP fastboot
No custom recovery.
Particularly this is my first time dealing with a motorola phone. Have flashed HTC and have owned mostly samsung phones.
But I know my way a bit on adb and fastboot.
Anyways I'll keep an eye on this thread and let you know if I find something on my own.
I'll try with RSDLite, Myth tools and fastboot.
Maybe one of them will work.
Good luck.

From fastboot, I recommend unlocking the bootloader, install Philz, and flash a custom KK ROM.
Manual fastboot didn't work. Always stuck on flashing boot.img and system.img
The same happen on that step in rds lite and myth tools.
Phone said can't downgrade or something like that.
So I haven't had any luck yet.

Thanks for the update, I gave the phone back to my friend but will tell him to bring it back to me to test.
Hopefully this works for that phone too.
Flex Hard bricked for seemingly no reason, I was on JB. I definitely declined any and all OTAs, one minute I was texting my boyfriend, locked the phone, set it down. Next minute it rebooted into recovery and refused to reboot into anything else. No big deal, adb was broken but I still had backups to flash. DL mode was broken, btw. I used usbotg to load up a backup and it still only booted into recovery. I figured I'd fix my dl mode by dding a laf.img backup I had made a while back to the right spot, but then after rebooting, recovery broke, and dl mode loaded, alas it was stuck on the dots. So I just gave up and have been boned ever since, figured I'd finally make a post asking if anyone would explain a process to repair, or be willing to do a hardmod for me for free, or money if wanted. I'm in the US and can probably ship most places, going on pure trust here.

As for your device QuickBrown. DO NOT cross DLL files you have a huge chance to brick! Look for your specific device files, thus eliminating hex editing. If you do OTA download it from someone who has posted them here in XDA. Mine had the same issue with accepting the OTA's. When i downloaded the OTA's from XDA and flashed them via adb sideload it worked fine. As for your adb and fastboot issue. Go to DL mode and flash the tot and dll. And if you decide to take the OTA downloads from here on XDA, when applying them via adb sideload do not skip the update order! As far as i know the ls995 flex (sprint) has the OTA's available here on XDA. As for the other variants i am unsure. Hope it helps! :fingers-crossed:
