Hi, is there a solution to increase the time-out of the password (5 minutes) to about 24 hours?
And if so, what are the steps to do this?
I'm using a Samsung Ativ-s GDR3 (i think) (system 8.0.10517.150)
Q&A. Never ask questions in this side of the forum, it just annoys everyone.
As I see you are a Junior Member I can tell you, no, not at the moment and not that I know of, is there a way to increase the time-out to password time limit.

Will somebody please please please make or create something to lock the screen when the Diamond gets an incoming call.
The amount of times I've answered unintentionally with the phone in my pocket is getting ridiculous.
I know there are loads of threads about this same issue but I'm not getting anywhere in respect o an answer to this problem.
BTW not looking for a battery draining application, just a reg.mod or something

Try this my friend... it's still in early stages but it's pretty damn good!
I have tried a few programs but best by far in my opinion is S2U2, it is a fantastic freeware program that can be easily found on this site. It doesn't fully lock the screen but makes it require a slide like motion to answer an incoming call (similar to iPhone unlock). This isn't a full unlock but since I installed it I haven't answered a call in my pocket yet.
The issue im speaking of is the actual home screen clock. Every morning I have to re set it because it ends up becoming off by a few hours. I searched this forum and couldnt find anything. I had also posted the question in the Energy rom thread, but it kept getting swamped out by random question. Im running a tilt 2 FYI.
Any help appreciated, thanx

Did you set your time zone? Did you turn on or off internet time sync? Did you uncheck get time from network under phone settings? Any of these could be the cause of your problems...
Im feeling really dumb this morning...My alarm didnt go off this morning because of this same problem. And I cant for the life of me figure out hwo to make sure the clock is auto updating to the network.
Im running Energy Cookie Reference. I have seen the settings before...but cant locate them today.
Time synchronization?
Hi.
Do you have the automatic time synchronization on? Try to disable it.
Settings -> Personal -> Phone ->
or
Sense settings tab -> data services -> internet time sync ->
Hey thanks for the response...my settings are different though. I found the setting in BSB Tweaks and turned it off...only time will tell if it helps though...we will see if my phone fails to wake me up again tomorrow...
Left Energy yet again because of this issue...I dont know a whole lot about the technicalities but it seemed to me that the phone is 'going to sleep' and actually losing track of the time thus keeping my alarm from sounding in the mornings.
When I hit the power button to wake the screen up in the mornings it would be displaying a time that was hours behind and seemingly random (what lead me to believe the phone was in a deeper sleep than normal). Possibly a really stupid theory...but like I said I dont know a whole lot. I just know it was way unacceptable in my case.
I will still monitor his threads like always and try the latest and greatest ROMS.
Clock Issue with Energy romArrow
I think the problem you are having is the windows alarm bug. I used to get this all the time until i started using g-alarm. it fixes the issue when you first install it. (note that its a paid app.) but here is the description and the registry edit that you need to change to fix the problem.
can't post the link soo you will need to copy and paste the url below if you want to view the webpage.

Windows alarm bug
Windows Mobile has on some devices a strange behaviour: Although an alarm is successfully added to the WM notification queue (it's like a scheduler) it doesn't go off.
Searching the web gave me following information:
At midnight WM rebuilds the notification queue, therefore it wakes up for about 15 seconds. If the notification queue is too big or the device too slow WM goes to sleep again before it could finish building the queue for the next day.
If you force WM too stay awake for a longer time, it should successfully build the queue on at least more devices.
If you start G-Alarm and it complains about the Windows alarm bug, you've got the default WM settings (15 seconds WakeUpTime). If you press "Yes" G-Alarm changes it to 120 seconds which should be enough.
Here are the registry values G-Alarm changes:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeouts\ACResumingSuspendTimeout
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeouts\BattResumingSuspendTimeout

Hi,
I have had the phone now for 3 days, so far I am not extremely surprised as I have these different issues. I am experiencing a problem with the default lg mail. It only updates my email the second I have added my account. When I manually click update I only get the update icon, but nothing happens, though I know there is pending mail! I will try the android email.apk, and see what happens.
My battery is very poor, around 6-7 hours on standby, gets it from 100% to 25%! Did one gmail and one short phonecall. I have read about that battery needs to settle, so will se what happens. The last issue is that the phone totally locked during an incoming call earlier today. I slided the answer button, but the phone didn't answer and the screen stayed in a picture with 3.25 call time!! Could just use power button to activate screen, nothing else.
Hope anyone has some usefull hints and tricks.
Here's my hint and trick... use the search tool in the forums ...

If You pay attention the MS Exchange problem is very different from the one you linked to!
I have read the other thread about battery lifetime, but I just included my opinion to state that I ALSO experience very poor lifetime.
Cheers
If there's a common thread MS EXCHANGE issues post in it, easier to gather issues and obtain solutions for it.
200 threads about issues within the same app just because they difer is pointless and only makes the forum become a mess and the search tool a nightmare to use.

Ok. Got your point.
Hey guys,
So I finally decided to let Mr. Unbrickable (Galaxy S1!) die and picked up a Moto X. My question to you all is this: Is there a way to set up a ringtone/notification for my battery? (Connected, Disconnected, 20/40/60/80%)
If not...is there an app that would do this?
If this has been answered before, allow me to apologize. Searching with the word "battery" brings up a ton of hits both here and on Google; but unfortunately they all seem to focus on battery issues and nothing else. >.>

Sounds like a job for Tasker
You might ask in the tasker threads how exactly to achieve what you want, but it is definitely possible, with Tasker.
Good Luck
Not sure why, but it seems like every other time I turn my tablets screen on it wants my password to be typed in rather than fingerprint because of security policy. I never had this issue in 5.1.1
Anyone else noticing this or know of a way to fix?
It's set up to request pin after each reboot or 24 hours of inactivity. Do either of these apply to your situation?

It definitely does it each reboot. I never really go >24hours without touching it, but I'm sure it would ask for it then too. It asks for password after much less time than 24 hours to me, also seems to do it when I change locations (i.e. when I get home from work). It's become so frequent and annoying that I've set a basic, easily-hacked PIN rather than the lengthy, complex password I was using on 5.1.1. Also, even though I've set my car stereo as a smartlock trusted device, it frequently asks me for the PIN whenever I get in my car and start driving (I use tab for music/nav).
The fingerprint sensor on this tablet has never been anywhere near as good as on my nexus phone, often taking 2-3 tries for it to read it, but now that it won't even accept my print for unlocking the device 1/2 the time it's able to read it, it's to the point where I just dont even bother and just skip it and go to PIN entry instead
DAMN. Mine was working fine until I read your post. Now fingerprint recognition has gone wonky. Trying full wipe / reset to see if I can clear things up (maybe app / setting issue).
