after i installed cm11 on my xperia z1,my camera stoped working. other apps and services performs normally execpt my camera. is there anything i can do to fix that? if there isnt, i just want a rom with kitkat experience with my camera working normally.
What firmware did you have when unlocking the bootloader?
It's a knows issue with CM11, ask how to fix it to the OP of the Rom which you installed or look in XDA.
You can also do a Factory Reset, which in this case I think will not help much but give it a shot, Reinstall Rom or switch to different KK Rom which do not have this issues like the Stock NUT pre-rooted one.

Then you should be fine and it's just the CM11 Rom issue.

Actually you don't need to if you have an unlocked bootloader. The kernel is also backed up in the Nand backup.
If you have a locked bootloader, your recovery won't be able to restore the backup so you have to flash it.

i was just about to say the same as pec0ra no need to flash
I honestly don't want to go through the BS of having to do a bunch of stuff to update my VZW Moto X to 4.4.4, and the only thing I want out of the update is the camera, the dialer isn't important to me. So, is there a way to get the camera enhancements listed in the update without taking the full update?
EDIT: forgot to mention I have the Dev Edition, fully unlocked and rooted.
You can try to extract the camera apk and any supporting files... And see if you can install it. If so great, if not.. Nope.
---------- Post added at 05:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:54 PM ----------
You would need root I imagine too. For the supporting files to be placed. I'm guessing.

Well extracting the apk is simple enough if you have the 4.4.4 files... But I'm not sure what supporting files might be needed.
I'd definitely do a nandroid backup first.... Cause there's a good chance it could cause issues... And restoring the nandroid would wipe out what you tried.
I read the main camera improvement is due to the 4.4.4 kernel?

If so, then "porting" may be impossible.

That is what I was thinking if it's true. I did not read it from a confirmed source. I just read that here under his notes in this post.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54794179&postcount=725
Hi all! i have a problem. Every time I lock the phone, the Wi-Fi is turned off and I don't know what to do. I checked the advanced settings and everything is ok. I read that is a common problem in 5.1, but it does not happen in 5.0.2 and i want to know how to downgrade. I want any stock firmware
thanks to all and have a nice day

There is no 5.0.1 for the Moto X 2013.
He is asking about 5.0.2 @liveroy... Even though downgrading is possible it is not recommended because 5.0.2 is having more bugs than 5.1 .
And to fix WiFi problem try to do factory reset.. That may fix your problem
---------- Post added at 08:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:36 AM ----------
If you want most stable and fast ROM. I recommend you to install KitKat 4.4.4 with zwliew kernal

That is actually a typo of mine, sorry.
Also as far as I know, there is no official 5.0.2, is there?
I'd like to know if anyone has the full rom to flash with fastboot, i think is OPWS27.1.2
Thank you
That's what everyone waits for. Lenovo has not released the factory images as Nexus/Pixel owners are accustomed to.

I flashed this ROM, installed official TWRP and rooted using SuperSU. Worked like a charm! I am still a bit puzzled by 2 things though:
1. When I check for system updates, I see that I am at OPWS27.2.1, patch level Feb 1. My wife who has the same phone (not rooted) just got the 3/1 security update OTA. Why don't I at least see that (even though I realize I can't take it OTA)?
2. On booting I get that whacky Moto animation. My wife's stock AndroidOne has a much more sedate 'AndroidOne' animation, more or less just an AndroidOne logo display. Is there some way to grab the animation off her phone and shoehorn it onto mine?

The link does not work for me, do you have some special access? Could you describe how to get there? I wanted to look for the 3/1 version...

You can find this rom on the ROM subsection forum here.
I don't have access to Motorola server, I got that link from another person, it looks like the link expired.
This rom is Moto X4 normal ROM not Android One.
I rooted my Moto G6 yesterday, tried to install the Lineage OS 16.0 system but realized that there is a bug in reading the sim. Does anyone know of any systems that are functional to install instead?
